If I could give zero stars I would. I have never met a less intelligent group of people. I pull up to get my three slushes. Pay with a $20, she gives me $24 back. Two of them were not mixed together so I knock on the window to return them. "Sometimes our machines do that". My husband and I stopped in for a soda and an order of tots. They have a drive-thru which we used or you can go under the carport to order food. Our order came out fast without only a minor problem. The tots were on the greasier side and minimal meaning no extra tots. They were out of coke zero so we ended up getting diet Dr. Pepper instead. There are NO fast food chains around the Del Valle area except for this establishment, so it's a real disappoinment knowing this is the closest place to go if you're in the mood for fast food. So awful it's not even worth going to, even if you're desperate. I'm almost positive they just leave their food premade and under a heat lamp all day long. Got a breakfast burrito there yesterday. It was made incorrectly and the egg smelled rotten and looked 100 years old. And what is with the kids who work there?! No manners, no sh*TS given. I waited 20 mins in the drive thru one time and was given the nastiest drink I've ever had. Stopped by Sonic in Del Valle tonight. When the young man with beads in his hair brought my food I asked if he would mind bringing me a packet of marinara sauce. He kind of nodded and went back inside. I decided in that moment that I was going to give him a large bill as a tip when he came back with sauce. I pulled the $20 from my wallet and waited, and waited and waited. My food was getting cold. He never returned so I eventually left. After developing schizophrenia, I took to going to this Sonic location, because it is a place that I could walk to. For a while, I liked coming here a lot, and I enjoyed the food. At first, they got my orders right, and I had no bad experiences. Then, they messed around with my orders a bit. Once, they said that they could not take one item off, but I knew from experience that they could, and that they were lying to me. Another time, I was told that they did not have cheese for my pretzel, but I was paranoid about this, and asked around, and they did have some. One time, I got my meal, but then I had a bad experience walking home. My auditory hallucinations were very bad, and I connected this to the Sonic. When I got home, the burger tasted very bad and made me throw up. I wished that I hadn't bought it. This mad me cry, because I had liked going to Sonic. The last time that I went here, they tried to give me somthing I didn't order. It said something about a manager's something on the board. The Sonic on Burnet is nice, though. The issue is not with the whole chain, but with one location. I thought that I had been singled out for some unknown reason, until I read the other reviews here on Yelp. The sonic really sucks now. They used to be the best. And considering it's literally the only thing that is in Del Valle that you can actually eat at. ZERO STARS. After (four) visits @ this location, I advise you to consider P. Terry's instead. I already called corporate on this location. This Sonic will... 1) knowingly sell you a #1 Sonic Burger and give you a small burger @ the drive-thru while the manager will blame corporate on their inventory mistakes. They won't have the correct bun size but they do expect you to pay the regular price of a #1. I asked them to post a sign to notify their customers about it but they'll nod, 'No.' It's too much work for them to keep the customer updated on their mistakes that I had to pay for. 2) utilize their crew to do a job that (one) person can do. Where's management?! It takes TWO carhops to bring TWO small bags altogether, to the kids sitting at the tables yapping and distracting them while my girlfriend and I were forgotten about for 20 mins on our first visit. Apparently, they didn't know we were still there. But hey. Their excuse is they're always busy even when there are not many cars around. Management will apologize and will promise in one month's time they will be, "the best Sonic"...whatever that means; and hand us (two) tokens for (one) free soft drink each for their inconveniences.
