How is this Sonic still in business? Awful. For about the 10th time. This time never again. Did an online order said it would be ready at 4:31. We pull in; and over half the stalls are not working. Finally find one #7, and it says are food is in process. 20 minutes later and after hitting the button we stop someone to ask about our food. Finally after sitting there for 25 minutes we finally get our "fast" food. My soda tastes funny, my tots are cold, churro bites were borderline burnt, the bun was hard and my burger is goopy with condiments. Oh, and yet again no toy in the kids meal. Other things that will probably go wrong if you eat here; other food cold, too salty, overcooked, or out of just about every kids meal food item. And you will never get a toy; or you might get a plush red button keychain about every 8th kids meal. Awful. read more

My husband ordered a Footlong Coney like always, and ate a few bites but realized it tasted very old. So we opened the hotdog and there was two old hot dogs and cheese look like it sat out for a while. He hasn't been feeling well afterwards and threw the rest of it away. I drive an over sized truck, and I can't get in most drive thrus. During this time (Covid-19) A lot of restaurant lobbies are closed, and I went by this location at 8:19am on 4/9 and entered the drive thru, and I was told that it would be another 20-30 minutes before they could make food because they where heating up the fryers??? I have been a sonic fan for a very long time, so a friend and I decided to check this location out and was not impressed at all. They rip you off compared to other Sonic locations, there small chili cheese tots are smaller then average and if were going to pay for food we want the right portion size. I have never come across a fast food joint that tries so hard to rip people off. We have tried them twice and both times they have messed our order up and then argued with us about how we didnt tell them we wanted something. Isn't the customer always right, if I say I want something like chili cheese tots or no ice in my soda it should be simple to be given it to me if I ordered it and paid. But here they are always trying to prove the customer wrong and always trying to tell you what you did wrong. They will charge you for ever little thing and they tried the last time we went in to tell us the the sweet tots were 4.00 with a value meal, unlike the menu says its just 1.50 added onto the meal. If your going to advertise something you need to stick by and then not try and gauge the customers for more money. read more

Really? I just wanted a shake and once again they let me down. Their excuse is that their ice cream machine is down. It seems to happen a lot. Maybe they're just so cheap that they're lying to avoid half price shakes. Regardless, don't get your hopes up for a nice evening shake - they are likely to disappoint you. And, like the other reviewers, I have had experiences with them being god-awful slow and messing up orders, though lately they seem to be getting better. The employee taking our order through the drive thru argued with us about the Sunday special chicken dinner including a drink, so we physically got out, read the small print and yes, it included a drink. Waited 30 minutes at the window for our food, when we got the food and receipt, noticed we got charged full price for the chicken meal, didn't have any dipping sauce in the bag, burger didn't have sauce on it. This Sonic does have the slowest service and they often mess up our orders. Unfortunately, Fort Lupton is limited on fast food restaurants. If you order anything with chicken be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes; an employee explained that they do not cook any chicken items until ordered and it takes 8 minutes to cook the chicken from the time it goes in the fryer. read more

I go every once in awhile to get a sweet tea. Id say 90% of the time they get my one simple item wrong. Route 44 sweet tea with light ice. Majority of the time i get extra ice so there is only about 12 drinkable oz of tea. Or they always give me regular tea. read more

First they added cheese to our hamburgers when we had asked for none, also the kids meals comes with a drink, apple sauce, and a drink and they forgot both the apple sauce and then my husband had asked for an extra patty in his cheeseburger and they didn't bring that order correct either, asked for a cherry limeade and they didn't bring the correct one. Every time I give these guys another chance, they always fall short! I've had more then a handful of bad experiences here. I drive to Brighton to get my food from the sonic there. The Brighton Sonic are consistent with food and service. It's sad as the Ft Lupton Sonic could have a good thing going. The food is not consistent and the staff is just rude! This last time they messed up one of two orders and the other they forgot the child's toy. Always check your drink lids here, they never get them on all the way. Arrived with three people, 1, 2 and I ordered last #3. #3 order came out first? Single cheese and fries, ordered a double cheese and tater tots, got the coke right though. 1 out of 3, swing and miss. Stopped the car hop and told her wrong order, 5 minutes later she brought out the correct order. 1 & 2 still have not gotten their food, 15 minutes into the wait. They got their food at about 18 minutes after ordering, asked for ketchup. By the time she remembered the ketchup, fries had gotten cold again, just like they had come out of the fridge. After a long day at work, forgetting dinner before a meeting and said meeting; I decided to grab a quick bite at Fort Lupton's Sonic. After pulling up, realizing their "car sensor" is broken, and deciding my order; I hailed the burger artist. I gave her my order, she gave me a total. When I pulled to the window she asked, "was that cheesecake or cinnasticks?" I kindly advised her cinnasticks. I paid, I got the order, I soon realized the cinnasticks came without icing. I promptly returned, 6 minutes prior to closing at ten, and noticed the lights off. Two announcements across the "car sensor" lacking speaker were unanswered, and I pulled to the window. Cindy McSmartass (real name changed to protect those involved) finally noticed I was sitting there, pulled herself away from the round table of local rumor-milling and came to the window. I informed her that I didn't get any "icing" and would like a couple packets. She curtly asked, "icing or cream cheese?" My reply was something like, "I don't know, doll, whatever comes with cinnasticks!!!" She frowned, walked in the back and returned with a single cup of "cream cheese frosting." Pardon my ignorance of the true "Sonic Jargon." Anyway, I've had numerous bad experiences here, but tonight took the cake. Buyer beware, I'll avoid the place for awhile; at least until my craving for horrible service and narrowing arteries get the best of me after a long day. read more
