They do weekly events that include pint nights and bourbon raffles that include uncommon and rare bourbons. Owners are great people and the bartender is awesome. It's more likely than you'd think! Old Tyme Liquors is fairly small but packs a remarkable variety within its walls, and no matter what your vice is, you won't be hurting for options. The craft beer coolers deserve particular attention, because they house some rarities that are downright shocking to find in this region. My favorite find was Lazy Magnolia's Southern Pecan Ale. This terrific brown ale from Kiln, MS tends to be rarer than hen's teeth in Kentuckiana, and I've only caught it on draft a couple times. To see it casually hanging out in one of Old Tyme's coolers was a real treat. Other notable names on deck here include Lil Beaver (Bloomington, IL), Voodoo Brewing Co. (Meadville, PA), Rochester Mills (Rochester, MI), Fair State Co-op (Minneapolis, MN) and of course, plenty of standout breweries from across Indiana. Seriously, this place is a slice of heaven if you're looking for craft beer from far-flung parts of the country. And for everything else, they keep the prices reasonable and the shelves stocked.
