location is great. literally right off the freeway. so if you need a quick stop to get some food and then continue to your destination, this is a great stop. it was the kids' first time at Sonic and of course they had a blast. to be able to order from the parking spot and eat their lunch in the car was an entertainment for them already. the burgers were good, bread was soft and the toppings were all in place -- nothing was falling out of the burger. But the popcorn chicken was not so great - it was hard and dry. So dry that it was tough for my toddler to eat and so i swapped my burger with the popcorn chicken. the slushies are always a good addition to the meal - the kids love the grape slush. we did not add any add-ons, the drink itself was sweet enough for the kids! read more

Our first time even though we live in Sacramento we took a drive to the one in Woodland. We've heard so much about their slushes! So glad there wasn't a line as the one in Sacramento at Delta Shores has had long lines! We both tried the Real Strawberry Slush and it was fantastic on a hot day! Only suggestion is that we could of used a bigger straw such as a boba straw! The strawberries would get stuck in the straw! We'll be back and would like to try the lemonade slush! read more

I have been to this place multiple times. I have requested for thing to not be included on my hamburger. It becomes such a wast of time and money to order food specifically when the order is wrong. I said no ketchup and this is just loaded with it. The service was good and they offered to refund the money however I will not be driving back for $12. It cost me more to go back and it cost the business more to do refunds so I would really appreciate it if employees would pay more attention to what they are doing going forward. The only reason why I'm even giving this spot 2 is because my grandson and his friend ordered corn dogs and slushies and really enjoyed them. Now I ordered dill fries which were excellent but can I tell y'all about a bun less burger that I specifically ordered!!????!!! So I asked for the Dill Burger with no bun and asked them if they wrapped it in lettuce and was told yes. Y'ALL - why did I get my order and everything was thrown in the container like a salad - the dill was suppose to be spears and lettuce was to be wrapped around the burger. We love Sonic and it's our go-to when we don't want to cook or to go to a sit down restaurant. I appreciate their service, they are amazing at serving their customers with jolly smiles. If you want to just sit in your car and eat, they have slots to park your car and order from a screen and they'll deliver the food directly to you. They don't take long to process your order and deliver your food immediately. Also, the food is amazing and it's great to enjoy it as soon as you get it while it's nice and hot! Food portion is great, you get exactly what you order for the price you paid! I've never complained once about this place and I've always enjoyed going there! Location is past it's prime. I live in Sac and my step sons father lives in S.F. we use the sonic location as a drop off location. Been doing it for about 4 years now. This location is done, go somewhere else. Sonic in general is a good experience. But this location over the past few years has gone so down hill. My wife and I don't bother ordering food anymore. As we are both over the lack of quality control. For example, my tots tasted like French toast on one visit and was completely unseasoned on the next, the hamburger and hotdog buns are often stale. When you order a soda completely expect the outside of the cup to be covered in it. Half of the car stalls have been closed for longer then I can remember, making the small parking lot almost unusable durring meal hours. I'm not kidding this place could screwup a bowl of cereal. With so many great opitions in the area there really isn't a reason to give this location any of your money. read more

Umm...who doesn't love Sonic?! Especially the ICE! I always order the limeades, and sometimes the limeade slushes. Soooo good. I do enjoy the ocean water every once in a while, or a cherry vanilla DP. Their hot dogs and corn dogs are a fave of mine. Their grilled cheese is tasty, and their breakfast...OMG. There isn't much of a way to be creative about this one. Sonic is by no means a bad eating spot, if you're into the roller skating food delivery, that's kind of neat. If you're they type who wants to sit in your car and eat, without once getting up, that's cool too. The cherry limeade is my go to, along with a corn dog, chicken tenders, chicken sando, and mozz sticks. Sounds like a lot of food, I know. Don't worry about me, my cholesterol is fine. The chicken sandwich is almost screaming to be a Dave Thomas creation, with the square shape and whatnot. The sauce is tasty and the chicken in juicy. Chicken tenders, exactly what you'd expect. Mozzarella sticks as well. The corn puppy? Oh boy, out of this world. Hot Dog on a Stick, eat your heart out! Right now! It's $1.49 for a minute of bliss. Cheaper than anything else that would resemble that kind of ecstasy. Here's what isn't so great. Five mozzarella sticks, $5.49. Not so awesome. They're really good, don't get me wrong, just pricy. The single sandwich was $5.29. About the only negative is price for fast food, it's a little steep. All in all, around $20. It's real good, but Taco Bell is still king of cheap, and good eats. First of all, not only can you drive up to the shaded parking spots to order from your car, but you can also download their new, revamped app on your phone and not even have to push the button on the speaker in your stall because the app is that good! You can customize your order and enter the # of the stall you're in. They will bring you your order, sealed and they all wear masks. Sonic has really gotten this down! The seasonal garlic cheeseburger was frickin' good. They also have a good philly cheese (get the jalapenos), but I wish they toasted the bun. This is the first Sonic location I've seen in the country that has an indoor dining area. They also have the outdoor area, and they don't have those benches that seem to be made of wire that make you want to eat quickly and leave. My knowledge of Vacaville is minimal, but we got here and I'm not sure whether I parked in the Sonic lot or the park-and-ride lot since they seem to be connected. Ordering is as easy as it is at any Sonic location. We didn't have to compete for the speaker as everyone else was in the drive-thru line. After they took the order, the light on the card slot kept flashing, so it seems that they don't take cash. Maybe, they don't want to handle cash. It could be a risk. The receipt came with the food at a later time. It wasn't but a few minutes and a woman arrived on roller skates with the food. She rolled back into the kitchen before we realized that there was only one packet of salt, no ketchup, and very few napkins. I can appreciate the speed but it's much better when everything is there. My chicken strips were dry, dry, dry. I didn't eat all of them. The tater tots were good, and we didn't need extra salt, actually. My buddy's burger was said to be good, as were the tater tots, once he got some ketchup. Overall, it was okay, and I'd probably order a chili dog instead of chicken strips, if I return. I like that they had an enclosed dining area. Prices aren't great but going across the street to Dairy Queen would probably have been more expensive. read more

This was one of my better visits to Sonic. We ordered the Onion Rings and Milkshakes with cups of water. The Onion Rings were fried nicely. They are a little pricey but they are good. They have a nice variety of Milkshakes. We ordered the Caramel - which was good and the Brownie Batter which was the best thing out of the order. We ordered water too and was a little disappointed of the charges for water even though we ordered items. I will also say they moved pretty fast from the time of order to the time the food was brought to the car. read more

Horrrrrrrrible experience about a month ago in Vacaville... I never have been cussed out for asking for a redo of a messed up order . One associate approached me doing the side to side finger wag saying "you don't know who the f$$$ you are talking to ... I'm gonna be a lawyer " they threatened to call the cops on me because I asked the employee to throw away the garbage that they served me originally ... I called and talked to a " customer service" rep on the 800 number who sounded like he understood the insanity of the situation ... said a district manager would call me the next day (of course he/she did not) all that over them piling relish on a hot dog that I asked for with no relish ... I demanded and got a refund ... which they then said they had to take the food that was in my car away ... AFTER telling me they weren't allowed to take food back from a customer ... never again... both employees -one claimed to be a manager refused to give me their names should be fired . With prejudice .. absolutely uncalled for .. I wouldn't normally write a review but if you don't call to find out then I figure you don't care about the situation- so other folks should be warned . We always see the sonic commercials and don't have one close to our house. We have been trying to go to this one for years when we drive from the Bay Area but my husband always misses the exit. He missed it again today but we went back. We didn't realize it was an actual 60's like drive-in so at first we were confused. Once we figured it out we ordered a ton of stuff. Drive through doesn't list hamburger options anymore, only cheeseburgers. Ordered two number one hamburger combos and the cost was same as the cheeseburger combo - $15.00. I see the marketing in listing the high profit items only but not giving a price break for no cheese and smaller overall sizes will make me not come back. Once I got to my destination and opened my "hamburger" I discovered that I had received a cheeseburger with 80% of the cheese on the wrapper. I didn't get what I ordered. This place sucks a bit, if you're a walk-in order! I've never been a fan of the say Sonic does their ordering. Walking in, you'll notice a that there's just a menu on the wall with a push button to be pressed when ready to order; once the order has been placed over intercom, you pay via card only, at this hugh talking billboard menu thing! Few minutes pass and an employee comes out with the food. The dinning area is empty with few cameras overhead. So it reality its just you sitting in a empty room, eating mediocre food while someone is watching you on camera. The food is mediocre at best, nothing really defining, no flavor the fries were okay but overly salted. No napkins or ketchup in sight. Sonic might be a go to spot for some people, I just didn't like eating alone in a room while other people record me, It's not very people friendly.
