Fair for this part of PA, sub-par for any other city. +1 for seating us in the back party room 15 minutes before our reservation. -1 for the back room thermostat being set to 64 for the first 45 minutes. +0 for decent bread. -1 for bad house dressing. watery and too much vinegar. +1 for friendly wait staff. -1 for bad marinara sauce. Tasted like thick tomato paste. +0 for decent chicken florentine. Needed lots of salt. I can't say I recommend this place. There are better spots for Italian in the area. read more

Do not go to this establishment. I ordered the fried greens as an appetizer. They came out like they were cooked four days ago. It look like somebody had already ate them and threw them up. I told the waitress I did not want them and to please take them off of my bill. I did not eat any of them. They were sitting in a puddle of water and they were mushy soft and they look like a pile of grass. The manager then approached my table and decided to Argue with me that they were made fresh. They were not . He then stood at my table and told me that he would take 20% off of the order of fried greens. When I told him I was not paying for them, He then continue to argue with me in front of my family and the entire restaurant full of patrons. They are unprofessional. Just because you have a fancy new building doesn't mean you know how to treat customers or make good food. We will not be visiting this establishment ever again. One of the worst in New Castle. Just stopped back in here for another flatbread with friends. We stayed long after our meal was done (they weren't busy by this point) and felt no pressure to hurry up and leave. I am thankful for these places scattered around the area. It is a good place for a solid lunch. I don't know a whole lot about their dinners because I've left this place as my go to sandwich shop. One of my favorite places in New Castle to go for lunch. The food is really good, the service does leave a lot to be desired. Every time I say I won't go back, but end up returning anyways. The spinach and artichoke dip is very good. I highly recommend it. The lamb sandwich, and the bread bowl salads are my favorite thing on the menu. If your not too worried about service, and you want a good lunch I recommend trying Sonis. read more

My favorite pizza in New Castle by far. They have a beautiful, new roomier restaurant. Same consistent quality every time I pick up or dine in. I order or dine in at least once a month. Nice variety on the menu. Chicken pastine soup - fabulous. Also be sure to try their Soni's fries made with Louisiana licker sauce. read more

I have been to Soni's a total of three times so far. None have been a great experience. The first time I went in with a few friends and we were promptly seated. We then sat there for over 10 minutes before a waitress showed up to ask us for drinks, we placed our drink orders and tried to order food and she quickly left before we could. She returned at least 5 minutes later, we finally were able to place our order and when it came out lo and behold my item was 100% wrong. I spent about 5 minutes trying to get someone to come over so I could mention it, before I simply gave up. My food sat there uneaten and when the waitress finally returned 15-20 minutes later with our bill she simply said nothing. My friends paid for their food and we left saddened. read more

Subpar Italian hoagie and horrendous service. We didn't get a first refill until 10 minutes after finishing our lunch. Had to wait another 15 minutes for the waitress to bring our change. Won't be back to this place. I can only imagine how poor dinner service is when it is actually busy. read more

I have eaten the entire menu at one time or another, and I have never been disappointed. The sauce is exceptional on any dish in the house. The salads and pasta dishes are delicious. For lunch, the sandwiches are the best in town. In addition the deserts are unique and sinfully addictive. read more

Nice mom and pop Italian restaurant located in New Castle, PA. While I can't speak for all their menu items, I can tell you they have quite a large menu. I ordered a Chef Salad, and was recommended the bread bowl by the waitress. Probably wasn't a great idea, as I am in weight loss mode, but the bread bowl was excellent. The bread had a nice golden brown, crisp texture around the outer edges while the breaking underneath was nice and soft. I was here for lunch and the service was really good. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us just the right amount of times. I'd go back to this place next time I am in New Castle. read more

As close to perfect as it gets. Salad was good just wish there was alittle more. Lamb was exquisite. I mean just like the Lamb of God sent this to be cooked from Heaven. Rice tasted like it was just harvested and created beautifully. Bread and rolls were great. I probably ate enough carbs to kill a small horse but hopefully I will burn it off. The roll was as sweet as a cherry pie but bread. Lamb sauce was so good Gordon Ramsey would approve of it and this restauraunt. Well done Soni's. No complaints here. read more

We were visiting New Castle and Soni's was recommended by a local. Our waitress (Natalie) could not have been nicer, explaining different dishes and accommodating our group. We took in a bottle of wine and the eight of us had a good dinner with many compliments. Kudos to those in the back and to Soni's management, this was a good value! read more

The food was excellent and the service was even better. We had two waitresses serve us this evening, the first waitress her name was Jenna and the second waitress her name was Nicole. Both were very friendly and polite. The triple chocolate cheesecake was to die for. We will definitely be going back there again! read more

The food is delicious, but I won't be eating there again because the service is horribly slow. We've been there three times and each time the wait gets longer. The first time, it took 45 minutes to get 2 sandwiches. On our most recent visit, it took an hour and 15 minutes to get a hoagie and a flatbread sandwich. The wait was so long I had to take our nearly-2 year-old daughter outside to run around - twice. I guess if you've got all the time in the world - or no impatient kids with you - the wait isn't so bad. But if you're on a schedule or you've got hungry kids with you, go somewhere else. read more

Pretty good place to stop in NC at. Fair warning it is BYOB! Had the stuffed peppers, homemade cavatelli with red sauce and meatball and a salad. The waitress raved about the florentine dish and came back later to tell me they were out. The food was good, service was decent. There are worse places to end up at while in New Castle. read more
