Best $240 ever spent. 6.5 wks pregnant and had some shoulder pain, NO other symptoms, told ucsd and they told me go to ED concern for ectopic pregnancy, I felt the screening was poor, they didn't even rule out the hundreds of other reasons you may have shoulder pain including musculoskeletal (i do lift weights several times a week), but this place to the rescue! Same day apt, like actually an hour after I called (which is way sooner than an ED would have gotten me in), no dr referral needed, was able to confirm with transvaginal ultrasound intrauterine pregnancy and got to hear heart beat. Saved me thousands of dollars and an unnecessary ED visit. The peace of mind was very worth it. Appreciate them for standing in the gaps that UCSD have in their care. read more

It's a charming home that has been converted into this warm and welcoming ultrasound office. The entire staff is incredibly considerate and helpful. They make you feel comfortable and secure the moment that you enter. All of my appointments have been quick and timely. The staff actually remembers me when I come into the office. Scheduling is made very easy on their website and they have an order form on their website that your provider can fill out so that Sonohealth already knows before you step through the door where to send your results. I'm currently going through IVF with a fertility clinic in Orange County and I do not have the ability to travel from San Diego to OC every few days for ultrasound monitoring. Sonohealth has been so accommodating getting me on their schedule and quickly relaying my results to my fertility clinic in OC. My fertility journey has come with its stressors and roadblocks and working with Sonohealth has been a breath of fresh air and such a relief during this process. I made an appointment here because my fiancé isn't allowed to come to any appointments with me at Kaiser. Although my OB allows me to FaceTime him during ultrasounds, I wanted him to share the experience of an ultrasound in person. We also couldn't wait until my 20 week anatomy scan to find out the gender. When I came in to my appointment I was 15 weeks and 5 days along. The facility was very clean (their building is now white, I thought it was gray because of pictures on Google maps and here on Yelp). The receptionist (I didn't catch his name) was very friendly. Sergio was the one who did our ultrasound. We got the sneak peak 4D. Sergio was very friendly as well and very knowledgeable in getting baby to turn around so we could get a better view and determine gender. We are having a boy! Overall I would definitely recommend coming here if you want to share the experience with a family member. So I did call Sonohealth asking my medical records, who answered the call was very, very rude, impatient to find my info, when I asked if they sent it to my doctor, it said "we send the exam by fax 24h hour after the exam, it isn't our problem if they (my doctor team) don't find it". I went here for my 3rd trimester ultrasound, and it was a great experience. I had couple of other ultrasounds done during my pregnancy, but this place was so clean & welcoming. It was extremely tough to navigate though all the doctor or any medical related visits considering this was during a COVID time period. At the time, we were required to wear mask but I was at least able to bring a guest (which was amazing considering I wasn't allowed to have anyone join me to any visits anywhere else). Checking in was quick and easy... the gentleman at the front desk that checked us in was friendly & helpful. It was nice because they offered photos and video of the whole experience for $20. I was so thankful for that considering it was impossible to get photos from any of the other ultrasounds I had done. The ultrasound tech was so nice and helpful. I was referred here for my first pregnancy when I was working with a midwife and when I was having my second child I fought to be able to come here for my sonograms and I am so happy I did. My first time around I had 3 sonograms here: 1 to confirm pregnancy and due date, the nuchal, and the anatomy scan. All 3 were really great appointments and I had great experiences and I was so happy after every appointment. My second pregnancy my Dr wanted to me to go elsewhere however they wouldn't let kids come and I had a baby that I had to bring with me (Pre-COVID, and my kids are close in age) so I told the dr office I wanted to come here. The 2 facilities didn't normally work together so some of the processes were a little different but overall everything was great again. I had 2 sonograms: the nuchal and the anatomy scan. Both of those were also really great appointments and they had no problem with our baby being with us. Making an appointment is always easy. They have called me after getting a referral and I have also had to call them and provide them with a copy of the referral. When you get there it is street parking, but I have always been able to easily find a spot right in front of the office. The office is small so there is never a crowd of people there meaning you are helped immediately. Check in at the desk is easy and the waiting room is clean, spacious, and comfy. They always ran on time and got me in to my appointment almost immediately. Everyone who works there was always amazing. Super friendly and personable and truly made my already exciting and amazing appointments even more amazing. Overall, I am super happy with my experiences here. I am done having little ones but I have suggested coming here to others and I mean it. It is such a great personable experience. read more

I came in for a gender determination at 14 weeks, I was joined by my fiancé and mother and Sergio was very friendly, included everyone and there was never a dull moment. Especially since our boy is camera shy ( definitely recommend drinking a slurpy before the appointment( if you don't have gestational diabetes) and lots of water especially cold. Due to the pandemic causing healthcare facilities to tighten restrictions around visitors, my husband and young daughter had not been able to attend any medical appointments and especially any ultrasound appointments. That said, it really took away from the joy of them being able to experience seeing the baby via ultrasound with me. So, we came to this facility for an appointment. It's a beautiful, small office setting and making an appointment was easy. Be able to bring them to an ultrasound really made a difference in the level of excitement for both my husband and toddler, making the baby feel more real (which was especially important in helping us prepare our daughter for the arrival of a sibling). I figured this would be a great experience to treat my husband to since he's been unable to attend any of my appointments due to covid (and this is our first baby). We purchased the 2D package and it was worth every single penny. Received really nice glossy photos. Everything was so clear ! It's so nice to see the ultrasound images on the big screen right in front of you instead of the usual computer monitor which most of the time is turned more towards the technician. We haven't received our email photos yet but very much looking forward to that. I forgot the name of our technician but she was so amazing - super sweet and friendly.
