It's pretty hard to find, pretty underground and a bit small in there but absolutely amazing sound quality.. I recorded a few tracks there & I can't recommend enough! The guy there also plays drum, bass and guitar and he drummed on 2 of my tracks and actualy even did backing vocals on one and is pretty up for experimenting on stuff, putting microphones in random places to get strange tones and running drums through synths and stuff, but on the acoustic track I did the tone was crisp and clear as a bell. The only downside I'd say is that it's mainly just one guy so sometimes you have to wait a week or two for a session if it's busy, but for me this isn't really a problem and I'm sure other places have waiting lists too, so whatever. In terms of price, well it's pay what you want. I normally do 25 an hour because it's obviously worth it and I want to keep the place going. Recommended.

But I asked if they knew of any rehearsal type places they issued a cold "no." Ok, let me get this straight, you're a recording studio of 42 years and you don't know a local rehearsal space or related businesses? What if an artist needs to rehearse before recording? You should have relationships with rehearsal places as they in turn could recommend you. Unless you're "above" all of this... A lot has been changed, and many of the original studios aren't there or have been redone. Still, it is a historically important site for anyone interested in music. Loved the environment of the contemporary dance classes as well as the studio. The girl at the front office was super friendly and they offer 3 trial classes for 8 euros (an amazing price). They have all type of classes that range from open to all to more advanced and walk-ins are welcome.

Apart that some of the personnel had no idea what the buttons did and thus they considered my feedback irrelevant to them but their boss instead of addressing this with them and try to find a solution he banned from the whole building. I don't mind obviously not visiting their studios but harming my reputation and my freedom to have access to other companies is next level power abuse. If companies use haus verbot for minor issues then they can't be taken seriously. Haus verbot should be used for serious issues in my opinion. On top of all this, they violated my privacy, one of their customer attacked me on a personal level and they never warned, never called me to at least discuss this. If I knew that me being a customer of a company would backfire that much, I would never be in the first place...

Having the freedom to book online or via phone makes for an easy booking with no hassle at all. The staff is friendly and helpful making sure your rehearsal will be a pleasant experience. The rooms range from small (7,00 € per hour) to large ( 20,00 € per hour). Small not only meaning the size as well as the more basic but still professional equipment. Large being up to premium room, with enough room to pack in some peeps to do a pre-listening show or else. Whatever your needs as a band are you will very much find your longings pleased. I play indie rock and needed to have a track ready soon and also keep on recording an additional six songs. Being a signed artist I had a specific release date to meet for the label and I really could not go any further. I was able to book the studio, get the instruments in for the other three band members and recording. The guys were really helpful to meet my needs (aka I had to do some sessions later in the evening and night..) and we worked non-stop for 4 days. I owe them to write this review especially since they opened just a few months ago and they have been really amazing. The studio is a very cool hybrid setup with no analog desk so that kinda got me puzzled at first..but the sound we got from it is amazing. The rooms also sound fantastic and we could set up amps in one room and the rest of the band in their main. All in all it's been a great experience, they don't always speak German unless their studio manager is there (but they are fluent in English) so that might be something to consider. Their rates tend to be just a bit more pricey than I thought but we could work out something that met my budget, and I did not compromise the final quality (I write my own songs and do my first arrangements so I am usually pretty picky!). Hope they take off. They started on the right foot, keep it up!
