(I get a #6 on top and #1 on the sides and the back..) The other customers there the day I happened to be there where a little on the older side but other reviewers have mentioned he is known for having a mixed crowd so to speak. There were three chairs in the shop but I believe Buddy is the owner and he happened to be the only barber cutting hair when I was there.

That kind of nonverbal communication says a lot. The low point came when she asked whether a beard trim had been scheduled. I confirmed we had booked a hot shave. Her response? "He doesn't have a beard." My husband had about five days of facial hair growth -- which is exactly the kind of thing a hot shave is for. It didn't stop there. She was answering texts on her phone mid-appointment. His hair was never washed, dried, or styled. The floor around the station was covered in trash. And to make matters worse, she left the back of his shirt completely soaking wet -- which was especially frustrating because we had a party to attend immediately after. I debated whether to include this, but I feel I have to: my husband is Indian, and the coldness, the dismissiveness, and the overall lack of care left us both feeling deeply uncomfortable. I don't want to make assumptions, but I couldn't leave that unsaid. I can only speak to our experience, and it's possible the other stylists here are wonderful. But this visit left us feeling unwelcome, shortchanged, and honestly just baffled. For the price of a barbershop service, you should at the very least feel like you're in good hands. We did not.

I made an appointment on their website and arrived on time. There was one barber working, Anne. She was in the middle of a coloring with another customer but acknowledged me and said it would be about 10 minutes. I was in the chair a few minutes after my appointment time. Ok with me. I asked for short and neat. She did a very nice job exactly as requested. No shaving on the back of the neck. Mostly with scissors but some trimmer work. All good. Anne was pleasant and nice to talk with . The Shoppe itself seems to be a work in progress. A lot of banging and electrical work underway. Anne advised that they are looking for barbers but can't get anyone regular. Anyway a nice haircut with a pleasant barber. If my regular barber is still unavailable next month I will return. Mark.
