I started this program after learning about it from my 86 year old Mother who I adore! She heard about it and so desperately wanted to help me become healthier and happier in life. She made me promise her I would look up the program and do it! She also sent me to talk to my awesome cousin Paula who she discovered had also did this program as well and lost 50 lbs in 4 months and she feels fabulous!!! I was very skeptical about this whole program when I went to the orientation; however, I was at the point that I felt like I didn't have much to lose by trying it. I have struggled most of my life with my weight and have found nothing that works, including counting calories and exercise. I am SO glad I did. In my first month on this program, I lost 19 pounds!! I am just starting my second month. I have 45 more pounds to go to my goal weight. I already feel so much better, more energy and more confident. My only issues with the program are that I think they need to hire additional office staff and need to have more water machines. The girls in the office all work their butts off and are always very busy helping a lot of people and I sometimes feel bad stopping them to ask them questions. With the water, most times, you have to wait in a long line; however, I normally get good tips from others in line on recipes, what has worked for them, etc. Yes, you do have to change your diet, but if you have a weight problem and don't change your diet (on this plan or not), you will never lose weight. You can't expect to lose 15-20 pounds a month eating junk food or eating as much as you want. This plan has showed me how my body will respond when I eat what I SHOULD be eating, instead of what I WAS eating. It is pricy; however, I could easily spend that amount of money on food I shouldn't be eating over a 6-12 month period. When weI went to the office I couldn't walk more than 20 feet before I needed to sit. I couldn't stand more than a couple of minutes. I started my weight loss plan with Dr. Sorbera in mid January. I lost 65 lb.by mid May. I was going to go on a cruise through the Hawaiian Islands and then spend a week in Honolulu and Waikiki Beach in September, I knew i would gain weight on this vacation so i continued to lose weight until September. I lost a total of 78 lbs. After coming back from those two weeks i had gained 8 lbs. I decided this was where i wanted my weight to be.I am now maintaining at the weight i want to be. ScAM They are good at taking your $$$$$ I lost 20 lbs. but anyone can lose weight by eating right or in this case starvation. There is no money back guarentee. They didn't even care for me and forgot I was in a room one day after I waited for an hour to get seen. Paid the money up front too $1,750.00. I saw the dr. 1 time in months. Also I was getting cramps so he said just stop a certain product but I got blood work done and the results showed that it was due to no salt in my body which could have lead to seizures or worse. This was because of his products. I also did the laser treatment. I measured myself before and after and you don't lose inches from that. Just another sales gimmick. I don't even think they clean the stuff. I've never seen it. He sells you a filter system for the water he has you drink but then neglects to inform you that the filters are over $100 to replace every 6 months. Buy a book on dieting instead and never go off of your meds before consulting your family doctor. Thats something else he has you do, very dangerous! !!!!! They only want to sell you their product. The first rater is interesting. Many health care professionals don't quote rates by phone. I have worked for an occupational therapist for a number of years; we don't discuss fees by phone. I've tried the weigh loss plan and have been very happy with the results. The food plan is very basic. I need the structure. I've tried every imaginable weight loss program over 50 years. This one is fabulous. I was never hungry and it was so easy. I've lost more than 50 lbs.; less than I've weighed in 30 yrs. The doctor and his staff have been helpful, supportive and encouraging. Dr. Sorbera program is amazing. I lost weight starting immediately. It continued to fall off. I've lost 35 lbs in 3 months and I feel like a million bucks. One catch though, you have to follow the program as instructed. You can't say it doesn't work if you don't follow their instructions. I've had health issues also, including severe acid reflux that I was on 2 different kinds of medication. 2 weeks in, I've stopped taken my meds and my acid reflux went away. All inflammation that I had had all calmed down and disappeared. But you have to follow the program. Drink the water as followed, eat the foods your allowed and when your supposed to eat, and take the drops as your instructed. Period !!! You will loose weight if you want to. Don't go in thinking it doesn't work. It works !!!!!!! I haven't felt this good in 15 years. My energy is through the roof. I will say that I had to spend money on more clothes though. I just wanted to stop in and let people know what a great experience it was here with Dr. Steve and his staff. I was a patient of Dr. Steve's before I moved away and was sorry to leave such a great, caring doc. I read in a previous comment that they wouldn't discuss prices over the phone. At first I had the same doubts, but once I got into the office I realized why this is. Dr. Steve explained to me once he had done my exam and xrays that there is no one size fits all program, and what I would need for care can't be determined over the phone. Makes total sense to me now. If I called the dentist they wouldn't be able t tell me this either - doesn't make them bad. I lost 30 pounds in 2 Months following his program. I have not been that weight or waist size since high school. I am in my 60's and was having trouble with my breathing and taking a lot of prescription medications.
