I chose the marscapone cranberry on bottom, stracciatella (choc chip shavings) and a vanilla gelato with Italian biscuits crushed in. There were so many tempting flavors that I hope to try next time! It was very warm outside in August (even at night), so this hit the spot! So creamy, flavorful, and had an amazing texture. As I took each bite or lick, I kept thinking...I'm in Italy eating this amazing gelato, how lucky am I?

The "unique" flavor I went with was a chocolate with Smarties-like candy. I ordered a "piccola" but even though it was the smallest size, there portion was large! Rather than keep one flavor on one side of the cup and the other neatly pressed against it on the other side, they had the chocolate/Smarties flavor at the bottom and the amarena dolled out on top. Not my preference when it comes to how the ice cream is presented, but not a super major point to complain about!

She was lovely in helping us decide which of the lovely treats to choose from the lobster tail, American donuts, fruit tarts, filled treats of all kinds. Everything we chose tasted as good or better than it looked. Which can be hard to find. Not to sweet but full on flavor! Thanks so much Piero for bringing us here for a lovely breakfast, and if we didn't have to get onto a cruise boat we really would've stocked up Alessandro's place with such wonderful nibbles!
