Giant grocery store at the mall. It was great. Well stocked and I found the staff very patient and helpful, and willing to put up with my Google Translate app. read more

Basically nothing is discounted anymore when you scan your membership when purchasing HEB-branded items now. You pay full price. Produce section has lots of bruised items. Ice cream and other frozen foods quite often appear like they completely melted/thawed before re-freezing. Chips and crackers are often full of broken pieces. Meat is very expensive. Staff is busy but helpful when asked, though. Very aristocratic ambiance here with everyone showing up in their Cadillac Escalades and Mercedes SUVs. Sheesh.

Great place to pick up things like cereal, dairy, water, paper plates, small trash bags and eggs. They have a small produce and meat section as well. Accepts credit cards and pesos. Cordial customer service. As I can't speak Spanish, I couldn't communicate but didn't need to. The parking lot is always super busy but there is an attendant that keeps things moving smoothly. The street it's on is very busy. +store is small but organized and clean +good cereal options +5 minutes' walk from the Westin hotel + I've added a photo of the QR code for more info and ordering online

Oxxo in Mexico is kind of like a Religion. You have to give…read moreit 100 out of 10 stars Oxxo is a convience store and competitor to 7 Eleven. You can find one literally like every 4 blocks whilenin Mexico. Seriously if we drive 10 blocks and don't see at least 2 Oxxos I know we have crossed the border and are no longer in Mexico anymore. Mostly people get snacks at Oxxo. Mainly Chips (with hot sauce), peanuts and Soda. Mexico is the largest consumer of Coke products in the world. So they take their snacking very serious. I still remember the 1st time being in Mexico and my girlfriend (now wife) must have asked me at least 5 times a day if I want a snack at the Oxxo which I found very strange at the time. Now that I have been to Mexico a lot of times I understand that is the cultural norm especially in Monterrey. Oxxo started in Monterrey in 1978 before myself and my wife were even born. Today Oxxo it is by far the largest convenience store chain in Latin America. My wife is a proud Regia (a woman from Monterrey) and so I am proud adopted through marriage Regio (a man from Monterrey) so we support Oxxos wherever we go. This area and this location are my go to. My favorites snacks are - Topo Chico (The BEST mineral water) - Oxxo Coffee - Candy -Pepsi Max Wifey favorite snacks are - Sobritos Chips (Mexican Lays Chips) - Hot Sauce - Soup - Water Oxxo is also good to pick up quick essentials like toilet paper. They also have charcoal, sunscreen, sunglasses and more. If you have not been to an Oxxo and are visiting Mexico make sure you pop in and get your snack on.
