This place has it all - winery, resort, horse stables, and restaurant. There rooms have a queen bed with a pullout couch and an amazing patio with privacy. The room is very cozy and has a stocked refrigerator of drinks and snacks. The bathroom is very nice and has a walk-in shower and dual shower heads. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They will assist with making any reservations within the resort or setting up excursions. Breakfast is included in your stay. They offer pastries, juice and some hot items. For gluten free they have bread, muffins and cookies. There is also an epic pool with lots of chairs and a pool bar. The towels are wrapped in plastic and the servers will bring you anything you ordered. We had an limoncello spritz and GF snacks. The staff will also give you a tour of the property. It's kept up immaculately and the views are incredible. We also had dinner at the restaurant. They offer GF pasta and other dishes. The pasta was delicious! The resort scheduled a private Pompeii ruins tour for us. They suggest morning or afternoon due to the hot weather. The tour was incredible and the guide was very knowledgeable. There is also a stable where you can take lessons. We didn't opt to do it this time but my dad and I tried last year. You can also schedule a wine tasting. All their wines are made with volcanic grapes and are natural. We were able to try 4 wines with a shot of limoncello. Lunch is also included and can be made GF. Overall had an amazing experience and will definitely continue to come back.

The wine selection was enjoyable, and I have no complaints regarding the tasting itself. However, the dining portion of the experience fell short of expectations. The food service seemed somewhat disorganized, and the featured pasta dish was particularly disappointing. Given the farm-to-table description, I was expecting a meal that showcased fresh, locally sourced ingredients with more depth of flavor and creativity. Unfortunately, the pasta sauce was quite plain and lacked the richness and seasoning one would anticipate from a signature farm-to-table offering. Even a small addition of meat, vegetables, or more robust seasoning would have significantly improved the dish. While the wine experience was worthwhile, the lunch did not match the quality or expectations set by the tour description. With some attention to the food preparation and service, the overall experience could be much stronger.

Wine isn't my thing, beer is. However, when in Italy, you'll hardly find anyone who shares that…read moreopinion! Due to the lack of brewery tours around Naples, we opted for this vineyard tour. Was it worth it? Yes. Has it been the best I've been on? No (Yarra Valley, Australia, still holds this title). Would I still recommend it? Of course! So, this vineyard is located on the skirts of Mount Vesuvio, an active volcano located near Napoli, Italy. The drive there is scenic enough, but the view you get once you arrive is even more amazing. The actual plantation extends for many acres, and it goes all the way to the very limit of fertile soil near the volcano's mouth. You don't get to go all the way there, but instead they drop you off at an on-site restaurant. The view is probably even better if you'd have access all the way up. The guided tour itself was very brief. Our guide's name was Maria Paola, and she demonstrated vast knowledge about winemaking. However, the tour was way more focused on a brief history of the vineyard itself than the actual process and challenges they have at making wine. All questions asked, she was quick to respond, but I would have enjoyed it even better if it was a more in-depth look at the winemaking process here. The whole guided tour took about 15 minutes. Afterwards, we were taken into the restaurant where we had a 4-course meal accompanied by 5 different wines. A bruschetta, a pomodoro pasta, a table of cheese and salami, and a cake slice with apricot jam. It was all pretty decent, but nothing was mind-blowing either. The wines were great though, specially the opening one which was a Lacryma Christi white wine. Ended up buying one of these to bring back to the hotel. As they poured each wine, a very fast explanation of the type of winr was given. This could have been more enjoyable, too, if they had taken their time to introduce them better. All said and done, if you enjoy tasting new things, and are around the area looking for a fun way to spend your day, I recommend you check this place out. There's plenty of room for the experience to be improved, but the quality of the wine and the view from up top make it worth the trip, nonetheless.

Maybe a 10-15min drive from Pompeii up on the side of Vesuvius. Great views of the bay and picture opportunities from the restaurant. We opted not to do the tour of the vineyards so I can't speak to that. We were seated by a window on the enclosed deck dining area and the view was gorgeous. If you call ahead, try and ask for a window table. They offer price fix menu options to accompany the wine and although I thought the quality was good, most things were pretty standard. My favorite by far was the grilled pork sausage, tons of flavor. I do think the cost is a bit pricy, but you're getting the wine tasting included so I totally understand. The wines were very nice, they gave us a good variety to try. Special within the region due to the soil content of the volcano. They didn't go into too much detail but they have a nice pamphlet with lots of info. They were readily able to answer any questions we had. We got a prosecco, 2 white wines, 2 red wines, and a dessert wine. You can buy bottles to take with you or order by the case to ship (you can mix and match). A very nice experience and great atmosphere, definitely worth trying.
