I work at the Grace Center and many of our clients need transportation to medical appointments and job interviews. It seems like every time we call SORTS for one of our clients, they either don't pick up or when they do there's "nothing available". If you all can't provide this service then what is the point of having it? read more

We rode the SORTS bus in Ardmore today for the first time. From our house to Sirloin Stockade, the trip was fine. We were in a small van with a nice lady driver. The trip back was a whole different story. We were on a bus that rattled so much it sounded like it may fall apart. The driver was a man. Not a very friendly one. He kept asking "Sixth", and we kept telling him C street. We were almost to Sixth when he finally got it. He was in a hurry. He said he had to pick up a half dozen people at two o'clock. We had waited for him for half an hour or more. He didn't stop at the railroad crossing. He didn't stop at any of the stop signs either. I never want to ride SORTS again. read more

This is about the Ardmore, OK. Sorts Bus it is now 10:10 am I called for a ride response was no available rides until after lunch. So now instead of scheduling the rides after lunch you wait until 1:00 pm to start calling again to see if they are available. But you see they quit taking calls for return trips at 2:00pm which is about the time they will pick you up if you call after their lunch hour. This transportation is funded thru a grant, I would love for them to take a look at how their money is being spent. I don't believe they would appreciate the way these vans are dispatched. I do not think they meant for the vans to go out to pick up ONE person at a time, but rather to fill the van with several people. This is such a waist of government {our} money as we are paying drivers, and fueling vehicles that are not used in the way intended. read more

Well some of the drivers r hard working nice people but majority could care less. Btw im referring to sorts in durant. U have to wait around for hours oftentimes for a ride. And they tell u they r backed up, which is unbelievable as every time they pick me up the bus is empty. Some of the drivers have even admitted they really arent busy. I also suspect descrimination toward ppl with disabilities because they always act like im askin them to move mountains when i call for a ride. Ppl really need to improve this service and stop pickin and choosin when they do their jobs. read more
