BettyAnne took over my entire extended family's accounts when our previous agent retired. Car…read moreinsurance, life insurance, home owners insurance and even renters insurance. For several years things seemed to run smoothly. Then in late 2012 it was as if all hell broke loose at BettyAnne's office! My parents had their homeowners insurance cancelled because BettyAnne misfiled some paperwork. Less then a month after my parents figured out that their insurance was cancelled and thought they fixed it with the office they got a call from a collections agency. All of this because BettyAnne didn't do her paperwork properly! Then my brother had a refund check sent to the wrong address. He requested that they reissue the check and send it to his address (which they had on file!). Their suggestion - try and go get it from the address they sent it to. Seriously?!? You made a mistake, resend the check to the correct address! The straw that broke the camels back was when I learned that after having moved back to Arizona and switching over my license, registration and insurance in late 2011 - BettyAnne's office never told the state that I had valid insurance thru them. (There is a form they need to fax or mail in). I received a letter informing me my registration had been revoked due to not having insurance. THEN WHY WAS I PAYING STATE FARM EVERY MONTH?!? BettyAnne confirmed I had insurance the entire time and then had a slew of excuses when I spoke with her, including trying to blame the mailman. (Who uses a stamp when you can fax?) She said they would fax over the form to the DMV and my registration would be reinstated within several business days. Obviously this was unacceptable. She screwed up and now I can not drive my car for "several business days"? We like State Farm, but the whole fam-damily moved on over to another agent who actually treats us like a good neighbor!
