Good old Subway; helping busy people reach their five a day…read more This Subway is identical to any other ( aside from the one in Southampton which, due to our regular and excessive consumption became affectionately known as 'home' during our uni years) and provides an entirely customisable hunger busting experience. Be prepared to answer a barrage of quickfire questions as you step beyond the 'Please Queue Here' sign into the sandwich-makers playground. 'What bread? What filling? What size? Toasted (once an option, now an assumed norm)? What salad? And the obiligatory anything else with that? For the uninitiated, bread comes in two sizes; six inch and footlong (with all the usual length-based innuendos) and numerous types from a standard White sub, or 'roll' to us Brits, to the more glamourous Honey Oat or health conscious, but somewhat unadventurous Wheat. Fillings comprise of cold meats, cheeses, tuna, hot meatballs and other tasty treats. There is also a wide range of fresh vegetables and the carb conscious can drop the 'roll' altogether and opt for a salad bowl. The myriad choice available ensures that even the fussied of eaters will leave with a full tummy and the urge to come back for more. Oh and it's healthy according to some bloke called Jared who has big trousers.

OMG try this restaurant. If you live in Hastings or St Leonards or visiting the area ... highly…read morerecommend this incredibly tasty, hidden treasure of a local restaurant reasonably priced for an outstanding dinner, anytime of the week. Will be top of my list of local recommendations, take aways and home catering (have added their number to my mobile, was so fantastic). The depth of flavour of their lovingly-prepared jerk chicken, goat curry and fish curry (unlike you have ever tasted before - seriously moreish!) will seriously surprise newcomers. The sypmphony of flavours of the fish with chilli and scotch bonnet pepper sauce was SoooOOooo unique, asked to buy a batch of the sauce to take home!!! They really ought to bottle that sauce! 5 stars as a new local restaurant with the courage to try a new concept. Keep up the outstanding efforts!!! It was highly recommended to us through word of mouth. Absolutely worth a meal here!!!! It will be unlike anything you have experienced for quite some time. African passion on a plate.

You must try their jollof rice and jerk chicken! What really surprised us was the value for money. Because they accept 'Taste Card' (50% off) the 'Bill Shock' you normally get when a restaurant slaps the bill on the table was more like, 'I can't in good conscience pay that little!' Highly recommend .. A must before you leave Hastings!
