There's a great range of frozen, fresh and tinned produce to make authentic chinese food. There is also a great range of snacks adn sweets. Along with all the food products, there is a whole range of cooking utensils. THere are bamboo steamers etc which are so much better vlaue than in fancy cooking shops. It's great just to have wander through here.

The service here is always friendly and efficient, and all in all this makes for a very pleasant supermarket shopping experience. There is a reasonable selection of frozen and fresh food but the fruit , veg and salad aisle is much more limited than a large supermarket and not as fresh as I would like. They have a system in place, where by if you register at the shop you can buy your goods and select a delivery slot - usually for the next day. They keep your frozen food frozen and chilled food chilled - this is of great advantage to people relying on public transport to get around -they get to choose what they want without having to pay for a taxi or struggle with several bags onto a bus.

All of it didn't apply to us visitors, but they had a non-food section as well. It seems like they have items that have a long shelf life (so little produce or the like). We were able to pick up a local brand of laundry detergent sheets (branded Dr. Beckmann: 40 sheets for 5 quid ) that we intended to use to do handwashing of our dirty clothes while on our long cruise. We had picked up sheets on Amazon, and we found that detergent sheets work a lot better: compact, easy to measure, and can go through airport security easily. Checkout was similar to a checkout line in the States, and the use of credit cards was accepted and had no fees.

It was in this shop that I first introduced the husband to ramen noodles in a packet (super cheap in Canada where I'm originally from) and he's now hooked .. so yay to oriental food shop in a hidden corner of an industrial estate! We picked up the noodles, several packages of dried rice noodles, some pork marinade (dried and paste), siu mai, a good quality wok and other delightful things. What impressed me that they are also a wholesalers. So if I felt like getting a 5kg vat of peaches, takeaway containers and a massive amount of peanuts this is the place to come. Eat your heart out Costco.

There is a forest of mediterranean fresh and prepackaged products - some of which i've never seen before.
