Some family and I wanted to learn surfing and paddle-boarding while visiting Australia, and ended up getting an awesome 1hr lesson from Jake at Soul Surfing. Despite having little to no experience surfing before, by the end of the session all of us had the basics down and at least had stood up on the board a time or two, and were ready to practice on our own! I primarily attribute our success and enjoyment to Jake. He was not only experienced, knowledgeable, and able to adapt teaching methods to individual students, but also super kind, patient, encouraging, and humorous!!
