Love Soulshine Flowood. This place not only has wonderful food, it has outstanding service. I always feel welcome when I walk in the door and you are treated like a VIP whether it's your first time or 100th time there. I really had high expectations after growing tired of the blah large chain-store pizza offerings. My order consisted of a 12" 'The Carnivore" pizza and a whole "Rasta" nachos. The pizza had a crispy thin crust and of course I hate crispy thin crust. I'll accept fault being that I didn't ask about the crust before ordering. The toppings were plentiful but amazingly lacked any flavor. Not sure how they accomplish this but not a stitch of flavor including the cheese. Also the beef topping was very "clumpy" and in large chunks, not appeasing to me. It was deja vu with the nachos. The chicken was not even remotely close to being Jamaican Jerk chicken but more aptly very lightly salted and peppered chicken! The chips were over baked and visibly scorched. I was probably most disappointed with the cheese from both the pizza and the nachos. I'm a cheese aficionado and the cheese had no flavor...none...nada...zip....zero...zilch! read more

Pizza is really good, favorite appetizer is the pepperoni bread. Hot wings are ok, but I'm not a fan of baked wings. Also not a fan of getting my beer in a mason jar (it's fine for sweet tea, but not beer). Overall I like it and will be a regular, try the Boss Hawg! read more

This place has a cool environment, but the pizza isn't that great. It wasn't terrible, but it did make my boyfriend feel sick. I didn't have any problems, though. The barbecue chicken pizza wasn't so great. It had small dried chewy sweet tomatoes on it. It was a bit pricey too. I doubt we'll ever go back. It may have just been the barbecue pizza we ordered. I don't recommended trying that pizza. read more

Came in yesterday for lunch, first time visit our neighbors recommended we try it out. I'm glad we did, the food was incredible! I've never had wings so good! Our server was attentive and the manager checked on us several times and bought us a bread pudding (crazy good) since it was our first time here. There were 5 big TVs in the dining room so this is likely going to be our spot to watch games when football season starts. All around a great experience, can't wait to go back. read more

Soulshine Pizza is our whole families favorite place to dine. Lovely atmosphere, excellent service, superb management. The pizza is soft and homemade crust, with PLENTY to go around. You definitely get your moneys worth at Soulshine and we always have some to take home. This restaurant is way better than your average pizza place anywhere in Mississippi. read more

About 20 family members and I arrived for a late lunch on Aug 12th. It was about 2:10pm and the restaurant was the farthest thing from full, except for a party they were serving in a separate room out of sight. We arrived and the owner/ manager did not want to seat us. He had informed my sister that they had a group in another room and they could/would not provide timely service. I also saw them turn away another party. When I asked to speak to the manager, he told the kind hostess we could be seated but we would not be served for 1 hr. REALLY? At this point we decided to go to a restaurant that love people and actually has a commitment to great customer service. We went to another restaurant! I am the part of an ownership group that owns 5 restaurants with brands that are growing. So great customer service along with top of the line food quality is very important to me. The Rest of the story: I changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars. The VP messaged me and indicated he wanted to talk about the services I got. He assured me that that is not the way they conduct business and Soulshine totally mishandled the situation. He offered to provide something for the family gathering on Saturday since we would not have an opportunity to re-visit the restaurant. The manager and I met at 1PM and he apologized. My family is in town for a family reunion and walked into Soulshine for lunch. We were, unfortunately, turned away by the manager in a very rude fashion. I would not recommend this place. The service is obviously poor and unaccomodating. read more

I don't review very many places on Yelp, but my experience at Soulshine Pizza Factory in Flowood was too good not to share! I grew up in the area, but have since lived out of state for the last several years. I went to Jackson in early May to visit family, and I wanted to try somewhere new but familiar. I remembered going to the Old Fannin location of Soulshine when I was in high school, and saw they had a location in Flowood which was new to me so my family and I thought we'd check it out. We couldn't of had a better experience! We got there around 7:30, and decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was fantastic -- funny, entertaining, and had excellent recommendations! She introduced herself as Annabelle, and we were so grateful for her help! She recommended the 'Pulled Pork Nachos' -- they were, hands down, the best nachos I've ever had! I was a little disappointed with the beer selection -- only one IPA on tap, but I changed course and went with a Kettle One with lime instead and it was delicious. The bartender also had a few suggestions for main courses, and we ended up getting one Wild Bill pizza and one Carnivore pizza to share between us. The presentation of the food was great, but the taste was exceptional. Next time I'm in town, Soulshine will be the first place we hit up -- I think I'll order the same items! And we also certainly hope to have Annabelle as our bartender again! They've got a great thing going there -- a truly cool place, great people, fun, classic ambiance and excellent food and drinks!!! read more

Went in on a late Sunday afternoon. Not busy at all. Service was horrible. We tried to order tamales but they were out. So we ordered the Cajun bread instead. Crawfish tasted bad. We ordered the CCR and the crust was burnt. Went to pay and the credit card machine wasn't working. Had our waiter told us that in the beginning we would have left. Instead the waiter never stood infront of us to take our order, he stood behind our booth at the computer and asked us to repeat the order twice. This use to be one of our favorite places. Hands down the best pizza place I've ever tried. The crawfish soup is my favorite! Don't get the cup, get the bowl! It's that good! Best pepperoni pizza! Best Caesar salad, too! The croutons must be homemade. They are light and crisp every time. I could eat the croutons alone and be happy! Will return again and again! Try the Ridgeland location, too. I really enjoyed eating here. I got the seafood pizza but changed out the Alfredo sauce for marinara. Good amount of seafood and toppings. I also got the crawfish bisque and bread pudding. I had read online that both were excellent and had to have, so I tried them. I wasn't too fond of the crawfish bisque, nothing really wrong with it, just didn't care for it. The bread pudding was good, but kind of reminded me of flan or creme brulee. No raisins and the bourbon sauce tasted more like syrup. Good, just not what I expected. I would eat here again, but I would just get pizza next time. I sat at the bar which was fun, some nice, friendly people that were very informative as to what they liked and what I should try! They did have live music, a woman playing the guitar, she was good but kind of loud to be playing in the dining room. I am pretty sure they had a patio, seems like the live music would be better suited out there. read more
