I've known Dave for years, as he does many of the weddings that we decorate. Brides really love him and he's recommended by most of the same facilities that we are . Dave did our customer appreciation event back in November and he was amazing. He really had the crowd involved, not to mention they loved the music selection. He also had really incredible equipment. Our space is pretty tight and was able to have music through out the shop using his cordless system. I'd recommend him for just about any type of event from social to business. Dave is the best! We had been to two other weddings he'd been at, so we knew going in we weren't going to be disappointed... but he exceeded our expectations! Dave met with us in advance to understand our preferences and style without judgment, and he made recommendations where we were unsure of a direction (he has many many recommendations for mother-son dance songs!). It's easy to tell from talking to him that this is a passion of his, and the depth of his music knowledge is impressive. At the reception itself, Dave kept the more structured parts of the party moving along with great energy (dances, speeches), and then put down the microphone and let the music do the talking for the rest of the evening. Dave was the DJ for our October 2005 wedding. He was a pleasure to work with. He spent a lot of time talking with us about exactly what we liked and what we didn't. He was able to round up some unusual songs at our request. On the day the music was perfect. My mother was pleased that you didn't have to shout to be heard. His delivery is professional and cool. If you want a goofy guy jumping around with balloons and a light-up tie, Dave is NOT for you. I learned about Sound Choice through my venue, Congress Hall, as he was on the preferred vendor list. I reached out to him for a price, because I liked that his website said that Sound Choice weren't "tacky" and they didn't have any gimmicks. My husband and I just wanted a DJ to play the music we wanted to hear, and that we knew our guests wanted to hear too. Dave did that and so much more! We gave him a really extensive playlist and "do not" playlist and he honored our lists by playing everything we wanted to hear. It also seemed like he was able to pick up on our taste, and played other awesome songs that weren't on our playlist. the majority of the people at our wedding told us how awesome the music was and how great Dave was. My husband and I live on the West Coast and we got married in New Jersey, and we planned everything from the West Coast mostly through email. Dave was always prompt in returning emails and thorough when answering questions. He was always courteous and professional.
