They also called my music taste "basic". I guess someone who exclusively shops at Hot Topic thinks they are the pinnacle of entertainment. When I asked why they were laughing at my choice in vinyl, they explained that they were being "personable". Unfortunately for them, I speak to people on a daily basis and I have never met anyone as low energy and rude as them. I suppose personability and and passive aggression are easy to mix up for a socially rejected metal-head. DO NOT GO HERE. YOU WILL BE ABUSED BY WORKERS.

They have a great selection of DVDs, Bluray, CDs, vinyl, and video games. They are our first choice when trading in. We have tried other places but POS gives us good returns for our trade ins. We have tried other places closer to where we live now, but they fall epically short. The best part of Planet of Sound though are the people working there. Such great guys that care about their clients. Every time we go in, they recognize us and remember us. They could tell us things we had purchased in previous visits and ask how we are doing. We are very impressed by their service. This is why we come back time and time again. Definitely check them out if you are in Winnipeg!

Or maybe you just want to giggle at the funny posters and dusty wacky toys hidden in the store. Surprisingly, there is a bit of organization amidst the chaos and books are categorized in sections and separated from other stuff. I've found some pretty great stuff in the poetry / essays area. Check out the art and photography section - you might find a great tabletop book. If you're waiting for a table at any of the restaurants around the corner it's worth stopping into and the building is incredibly beautiful and old if you can get past the dust and paper.
