If you were a fan of Souplantation before it closed during COVID, you'll definitely want to check out Soup N Fresh. It feels like a modern-day replica of Souplantation, which was one of my favorite places to go for a relatively "healthy" and filling meal. Needless to say, I was pretty excited to find this place! Food: They have a great selection of salads, soups, sides, and desserts. Their Evelyn's Broccoli Salad is still a huge favorite of mine -- it's one of those dishes that immediately brings back the Souplantation nostalgia. There are plenty of pre-made, dressed salads, but I opted for the build-your-own salad bar so I could control the dressing. I kept it simple with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and there were plenty of fresh ingredients to choose from. The carb station was pretty decent too, with sliced bread, garlic pizza slices, cheese pizza, brownies, blueberry muffins, and cornbread. Not necessarily the "healthy" part of the meal , but definitely good for adding a little variety. There were also quite a few soup options. My favorites were the mushroom cream soup and chicken noodle soup. The mushroom soup was creamy and flavorful, while the chicken noodle was comforting and satisfying. The mac & cheese was another standout for me -- creamy, nicely salted, and just really delicious. For dessert, they have fresh-cut fruit, Jell-O, puddings, and soft serve, so there's definitely something for everyone. Price & Service: You pay before finding a seat, and it's $17.99 per adult. Kids 3 and under eat free, which is a nice bonus for families with little ones. Overall, if you miss Souplantation, I'd definitely give Soup N Fresh a try. It's not exactly the same, but it comes pretty close and scratches that nostalgic itch. I especially love being able to have a big salad, soup, and a little something sweet all in one meal. I heard about this restaurant that offers AYCE soups and salads, and so I really want to try it. It was not disappointed at all. Its concept is almost the same like Souplantation. I went there for early lunch, $17.99 per person. The buffet line offers a great variety of vegetables and salads, very much the same at Souplantation restaurant. Everything is fresh and delicious. My favorite soup is the chicken noodle soup, and it was very good. This is not a big restaurant but it looks like there are plenty of tables. Staffs are pretty friendly and they did a good job. The restaurant was pretty fully seated by 12pm. It was nice that they have canopy installed outside the entrance for guests waiting in line. Souplantation was one of my favorite spots growing up so I was ecstatic when this spot opened up. I was lucky enough to try the Tucson location of the Sweet Tomatoes a few times over the last year so was able to make a comparison! If you don't live close by the line and drive are definitely worth it. The salad bar is great! The area is kept clean and the ingredients are fresh. I see the staff constantly keeping an eye on things to make sure everything is stocked which is great! Heading over to the soup section, I was obsessed with the mushroom soup and pozole! If I could only have those two things I would. Their pastas were also amazing. I like the Mac n cheese and Alfredo here better then the Souplantation location in Tucson! I absolutely loved my visit! It reminded me so much for Souplantation so my inner child was squealing away. We got there around 10:45 and waited about 45 minutes before getting seated. The line was moving so it didn't seem like we were waiting too long. I got two plates to stack my salads and goodies. There was two tossed salad. They were very lightly dressed. I loved the pasta and all of the salad bar. So reminiscent. I also got chili and clam chowder. Both very good! My favorite thing would probably be the corn bread with honey whipped butter. We visited Soup 'n Fresh for lunch last Wednesday. We arrived around 12:30 p.m., and there was already a line, but the wait to get in was only about 6 minutes. Soup 'n Fresh immediately reminded me of the old Souplantation, it feels almost the same. I heard that the new owners acquired the rights to the Souplantation concept after the original company liquidated in 2020, and they have done a great job bringing it back under the name Soup 'n Fresh. I'm so glad to see a salad and soup buffet making a comeback. It brought back a lot of fond memories of enjoying endless soups and fresh salads. The lunch buffet was $17.99 per person and included unlimited salads, soups, pizza, pasta, desserts, and ice cream, making it a great value. This place is about 90% Souplantation, and it definitely brings back a lot of memories. The salad bar is almost identical, and even the plates and overall setup feel just like the original. The soups aren't quite the same, and they're missing those iconic chocolate chip cookies, but overall it's a great experience and a nice dose of nostalgia. The service, however, is a different story. The cashiers always seem annoyed or unhappy to be there, which takes away from the experience a bit. I finally tried out the viral Soup and Fresh in Chino Hills after hearing so many things about it, and it definitely lived up to the hype in a lot of ways. The unlimited salad bar is honestly the highlight. You can load up on cucumbers, broccoli, fresh veggies, tons of dressings, and even premade salads. I love being able to customize everything and go back for all my favorite toppings without limits. They also have a solid variety of hot foods including pizza and soups like chicken noodle, chili, posole, and clam chowder. There's also a baked potato station and an ice cream bar, which makes it feel like a full all-in-one buffet experience. Even though it was pretty crowded when I went, I was impressed with how clean and well stocked everything stayed. Staff kept things moving and refilled quickly. The only thing I would note is that the chicken noodle soup was a bit plain in broth for my taste, so I recommend adding toppings to make it a little more balanced and flavorful. When entering there's two side of the salad bar so two lines can form! You can grab as much as you want! There's also a soup, pasta, bakery, beverage and soft serve station! I'm a Soup n Fresh fan but this location felt a lot less quality than the Rancho Cucamonga location. I went for a weekday lunch and there was no wait even though it was busy inside, so +1 for ample seating. They have raised prices a buck or two, but they do have BOGO coupons on their Facebook that I was able to make use of. The cashier seemed familiar with the offer at first, but then instructed me to do some random stuff, like to respond to the Facebook Messenger chatbot with my numeric total charge. This was not necessary; you just need to select the prompt that says "Redeem in-store." I enjoy salad so I had a good experience, but a lot of the offerings fell flat for me that day. The shredded carrot salad is usually my favorite thing to get but it tasted so weird. I don't know if the recipe was changed but it was very sour, maybe too much vinegar? My partner likes the chicken noodle soup but told me there was basically no chicken in it, and I had a similar time trying to find any slivers of egg white in what seemed like a serving tray full of mashed yolks. The pizza and garlic bread were a lot cheesier than they are at Rancho where they are more dry and cardboardy. I think most people would enjoy that but I found the taste and smell of the butyric acid to be too overpowering, personally. On the plus side, the pasta was good. I always like to add some cheese and vegan bacon bits to the spaghetti. I would also recommend getting a brownie or cornbread muffin and putting some soft serve on it to end your meal. Arrived around 1:30PM and it was about a 1 hour wait in line. Probably best to come during non peak hours so 3:30PM or before close. Parking is plenty. Staff are nice, but really it's self service. You can choose to go down the salad bar island from the left or right. Soups, pasta, & breads are on the left side wall. Wrapped around the corner are drinks and soft serve stations. There are a decent amount of stalls in the restrooms. Ambiance is nice and bright with table and booth seating. FOOD: soups and pastas were probably my favorite. SOUPS tasted very similar to souplantation, with the typical soups: clam chowder, chicken noodle, chilli, cream of mushroom, cheddar broccoli, minestrone, etc. The PASTA's were actually more flavorful than the usual souplantation ones. Alfredo was delicious, spaghetti and mac & cheese were not bad. The premixed SALADS were not as good. Was so sad the wonton happiness salad was underdressed and barely had any chicken. The other premixed salad they had was Caesar. The Joan's brocolli salad was the same. The salad bar selections were still very plentiful and varied. Dressings were just ok. My favorite pasta salad was still really good. The BREADS were no good at all. Blueberry muffins barely had blueberries. Everything was dry and hard sadly. Since the closing of Souplantation Restaurants we've been on the hunt for something similar. This place is a dupe to it. Come on, its named Soup 'n Fresh. Tip: get in line as soon as possible or have someone stand in line for your party. The line is long but moves quickly. The restaurant is clean and the are enough tables and booths for a small or big party. The table next to us was throwing a 40th Birthday party. As for selection. There's a soup station, a salad station, pasta station, and a bread section. Drinks are self serve along with their ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or a combo of vanilla/chocolate swirl). Sadly there were only grapes and oranges for fruits. The soup station had about 5 different soups which included the delicious Clam chowder. The Bone Broth chicken noodle soup tasted like boiled chicken with fettuccine noodles. It was bland. I was not gonna even try the Lentil & Spinach Soup, Cream of Mushroom, or Chicken Tortilla Soup. No chicken for me! Salads there was a selection of plain salad, Caesar salad, Chinese Chicken Salad and the never ending toppings and sides for salads. They did also have a tun pasta salad, a spiral pasta (which had no dressing), and a broccoli salad. Get the broccoli salad. It's a mix of a little sweetness and texture. Skip the other two options. The bread station has pizza (that cheese bread hd the best pull, but the dough itself was mediocre), there was a chocolate muffin, French baguette, and the ole so famous Blueberry muffins. That itself deserve 5 stars because it tasted exactly as soup plantations. Add the honey butter and its like I was back to the future!! The pasta station had mac n cheese, spaghetti marinara, alfredo penne pasta, sweet potato, and baked potato. The alfredo penne reminded me of Johns Incredible's pasta. The sweet potato was overcooked but still good. Service was okay, workers were busy taking your trays and plates, cleaning and refilling stations. Thanks to the internet, Soup 'N Fresh has been coming up a lot lately, and the idea of an all you can eat salad and soup place seemed super fun. My wife and I arrived here just after open on Saturday and there was a huge line outside, which I guess I should have expected but underestimated. We waited in the line for about an hour before entering and being seated. When you enter this place, you grab a plate and make your way through the "buffet" lines. Once you put a plate together, you head to the register, pay, and then are seated by another member of the team. Since it's a buffet style kind of place, let's get into the food. Clam Chowder Soup- The Clam Chowder was pretty solid. I'm a big fan of clam chowder in general and I was not disappointed here. Macaroni & Cheese- Not great, but not bad. This kind of tasted like every generic macaroni and cheese that you would get from a diner. Bad? No, but nothing special. Cheese Pizza- The pizza looked great, but somehow just managed to taste like cheese bread. Spaghetti- Simple red sauce spaghetti that lacked pretty much all flavour. Assorted Salad Goods- It's literally a salad, so it was exactly what I made of it. Solid enough. Ice Cream- The soft serve machine was actually really freaking good, like way better then most soft serve. Overall, Soup 'N Fresh is a cool and unique idea, but the food here just lacked any sort of lasting impact. The set up is the same as its predecessor: premade + DIY salads, soups, carbs, etc. I think eggs are the only form of protein you can add to your salad. A reboot of the Souplantation that was here pre-COVID. Everything is extremely fresh, soups, chili, and pastas are hot, and they offer both baked potatoes and baked sweet potatoes in addition to the old familiar baked foccacias and muffins. The chocolate muffins make a perfect base for a bowl of soft serve yogurt after your meal. Considering the labor costs now imposed on restaurants by CA law (courtesy of labor unions such as UFCW and SEIU), the lunch and dinner prices are still reasonable, with a $2 discount for seniors age 55+. I don't remember getting some of these items or soups before during Souplantation. Their version of Joan's Broccoli Madness is near spot on (they use raisins instead of cranberries) and their ranch is really good. I usually go and drive all the way from Koreatown LA to here and make a day of it when craving vegetables and especially broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables that don't really keep well at the volume I eat: one full plate of broccoli madness, one plate of salad and eggs, soups (chicken noodle and mushroom), yogurt, strawberry lemonade + sprite mix, cornbread blueberry, spagetti. So it's hard to get that level of variety and good mix in one go, even without the old classic souplantation coupons. Always come here with Bryce! He's single btw if anyone wants to hollaaaa. FYI there's a good time to go between the initial opening and lunch/brunch time rush and it'll be like 20-30 min wait vs 2 hrs in the sun. So time it and there's a tempo to the line waiting. They captured the nostalgic vibes, from the salad station, to the soup station to the drinks and even the soft serve/self serve ice cream. The food and recipes look and taste so similar to SP and the quality here is pretty darn good. The service is friendly and welcoming. They come around at the tables quite often to clear it--no judgement. The dining area is large and roomy. But let me give you a heads up, it gets crowded because it is quite a popular spot. My wife and I love supplantation back then and Soup n Fresh is most definitely a nice sight to see after their chain closed. Firstly, Soup n Fresh, this location specific is very popular. Almost a year since open, there's still a large queue to enter the restaurant whenever it's busy and it's busy very often. Always nice to have free parking in a HUGE parking lot. As it's a buffet style restaurant, the options are endless. From all kinds of vegetables, pastas, soups, pizza bites, breads, and even ice cream, you can make all types of combos. Fan favorite is definitely the chicken noodle soup, which my wife loves. My standout favorite is the alfredo pasta and the tuna pasta. A good mix of those with the various vegetables is absolutely addicting, very tasty and always fresh. Service is pretty decent as well, they take away plates quite fast and often as you are gathering more food, very impressed. Can't wait to visit again as this is one of the most authentic spots around, nostalgic for sure. P.S. Always finish your meal with a ice cream cone, very delicious. read more

I was excited to try this place as it's supposed to be a copycat of the infamous souplantation. Upon coming there was a long dinner wait so I suggest incorporating a wait time of at least 30 minutes. Once you enter the inside is setup exactly like souplantation with the counter style salad and soup bar. Also pretty much exactly like souplantation was the taste. Remembering back upon all the salad, soup, pasta and bread/muffins everything tasted almost exactly the same if not the same. It's a brilliance stroll down memory lane and although not the greatest will be back for the nostalgia. read more

Amazing service, selection and the food is delicious! I love how all the food is in 1 location.. bathrooms were clean and well stocked . I will warn anyone, lines can be long especially on the weekends! We came on a Sunday and we waited about an hour but it's worth it! Will definitely be back! read more

Tried soup and fresh in chino hills for the first time. The place is so clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very fresh. So many veggies to pick from. Soups were delightful. I tried the lentil spinach and chicken bone broth noodle. So goood! Was not a fan of the brownie but later realized it was a brownie muffin which explained the texture. I definitely recommend coming at 10am (30 minutes beforehand opening) on a Sunday morning if you want to be 2nd in line. The line only got longer even after we left at 11:30am. The line wrapped 4 times by 10:30am opening. Plenty of parking and there's a tent for shade. Plenty of seating indoors too which is nice. It seems a little bigger than the Rancho Cucamonga location. Food was just as fresh as I remembered during Souplantation's glory days. Soups were decent, pizza and muffins were solid, ice cream machine worked great. Very nice staff and clean inside. read more
