the sandwiches were great! the soups are hearty, but not as filling as I'd hoped. $65 for sandwiches, drinks, and soup was a bit steep for lunch even in the city, but the quality was there at least. the plaza has lots of parking, great spot to walk around (small figurine shop next door, Trader Joe's AND safeway, bunch of other food spots, and Target too). All my coworkers ordered sandwiches and I asked for the Wrap option and learned that any sandwich you want can be changed from the yummy bread to the Wrap version. This place is located in Westlake near Sheng Kee, so there's plenty of parking. The prices are on the wall so it's hard to see some parts of the menu since it's so big. I''ve been here twice and both times I get the same sandwich. I get the pastrami sandwich and it never disappoints. I also love their clam chowder as I feel it's better, maybe even a million times better then boudin's clam chowder. Their clam chowder isn't too salty and has more clams. The pastrami sandwich was pretty good, I love it how it's hot, however I asked for no mustard. The prices may seem expensive but you are getting a better quality menu compared to boudins. Whoever was working around 4:30 pm on Friday, June 12.. I asked and PAID FOR extra pesto on a PESTO turkey sandwich and there was ZERO pesto in my sandwich. My husband also asked for NO TOMATO and lo and behold, the biggest slices of tomato in his sandwich, and they forgot the onions he added on as well. Not to mention how much the quality of this place has gone down. The sandwiches are way skinner and the bread is cold and chewy compared to when they first opened. For $15 freakin dollars, i expect you to at least get my order right, can't even do that. This place is complete F tier. Save your money and spend it at Little Lucas or even at the deli department at Safeway across the street because for sure they make way better sandwiches than this place. read more

(It smelled like broccoli or colesla) I started chewing the sandwich and it was gros. I decided to open the sandwich up, I noticed that the bacon was black (spoiled). Came here for the first time after being told it's delicious! - bowl of clam chowder - cup of clam chowder - 4inches smoked brisket Total came to around $30 (plus tip). The bread alone makes you want to come back. It's freshly made and so good. The clam chowder is equally delicious (piping hot and has a good serving of clams!) The sandwich was nicely portioned that makes me wonder how good the other sandwiches are in this location. We picked up dinner from here. They are new at Westlake and replaced the former robot burger place. I had the turkey pesto on sourdough. Their sourdough is different from Boudin's. I find it lighter, not so tough, and not that sour. The sandwiches also have more filling than Boudin's. Download their app for their loyalty program. The app only takes catered online orders though so if you want a sandwich here, you'll have to go in and order it. Restaurant is clean. read more

That's great on a cold rainy day. Sourdough bowl absorbs the clam chowder if you eat slow enough, that's delish. The clam chowder didn't taste special or home-made though. Like Campbells soup, very small clams and ground up, potatoes not cooked to be soft in the chowder. Brisket sandwich on sourdough had great bbq sauce , meat was sliced thin, very consistent, no burned bits (that's an acquired taste I guess). Water- serve yourself in plastic disposable glasses Disposable plastic "silverware". !Really need a metal soup spoon to enjoy- eat - slurp hot clam chowder. Meal was $50 including tip. Fills like a fast food place but would be a great place to relax and eat slowly.... Friendly staff, quick service but was hoping for something a bit more homey or comfortable. Ordered from this spot via DoorDash! Unfortunately some sandwiches came soggy, but all were good nonetheless. My parents love this spot for a solid sandwich and enjoy their bread, which isn't too sourdough-y if that makes sense. They also seemed to like the clam chowder and said it was very flavorful, plus I think it's nice that they have a side of bread to dip into the soup. We finally found a great sandwich and soup place!! Yayyyy!! :)) They have varieties of yummy sandwiches to choose from as well as the soups..they have delicious chilli on Fridays! I'm not sure if it's weekdays included but it's really worth to come to this place located in Daly City right across from my other favorite place to eat is Panda Express! Lol!!;)) When they're not busy cashiering or making your sandwiches..their actually greet and say hello as you walk in! Well..that day we went for the first time..we had a very nice lunch and great customer service! You'll see the pictures of the crew that wonderful day! :)) As for the new place..it's very clean and I love the set up on the soda area..the tables are colored dark grey with comfy chairs and there's a lot of room inside to enjoy the seating while you eat good food! So excited to see Sourdough & Co open at the Westlake Shopping Center. I love them at Linda Mar in Pacifica and I know they'll do great here too. I had the Caprese sandwich today, which was amazing. This is a specialty sandwich so it only comes in the 6" size, but the tomatoes and mozzarella cheese were both awesome, the balsamic glaze delivered the magic and the lettuce and aioli completed the package. First time here so I'll start off with the pros: Clam chowder is very delicious and I got a small turkey sandwich with house spread, that was very tasty as well. Con's: accidentally gave my meal away and I had to ask what happened. They did remake it quickly and gave me a free cookie.
