In the process we found out two other family members had problems with their headstones sinking over time. Cutler arranged to have the headstone lifted and stabilized. The other was over one hundred years old and had cracked in half. Dale again assisted us to replace the headstone with a new one. Cutler took excellent care of us every step of the process. Updating us with photos and timelines. I can't tell you how relieved I was that my 82 year old mother did not have to travel back to Indiana during Covid to take care of this! I saw several I was interested in but no prices were listed. To find the price, I had to create an account and drop the items in my page where they would not open. I sent the photo of one of them to Sorg via their contact feature with a text explaining what I wanted. After a week of no response, I sent another and got the same no response. I went to the store to see what the item cost but the website would not open in the store and I couldn't show them what item I was interested in. I solved the problem by going to Hopman Jewelers who were more than helpful. By the way, when I told them in the store how bad the website was, their response was "we know". Bottom line, the store looks nice from the outside but it is terrible to try to purchase something from them!

I called Kryder Cremation Services Tuesday morning and get some info so I could make the decision to bury him in our pet cemetery or cremate him. They made my choice so easy! Information was readily shared, they were polite and very soothing to speak to. 20 minutes later I was in the car on my way to them. Went in and the area is clean, bright, and a few meows were lounging to greet me. A few questions later about individual or group cremation, and basic info about me and my Napoleon dynamite, a fee of $120.00 was paid and I was on my way home to eat cookies and sob in my bed. The next afternoon they called and said that he was ready to be picked up and gave me the hours of operation again. I couldn't believe that in just over 1 day it was done. Drove out there, was greeted by a orange and white meow ( which is what my Napoleon dynamite was) which almost brought me to my knees- the ladies at the desk were very fast to ask me what I needed and when I said that I was there to pick up my ashes one went to get them and the other gently spoke to me about the cats that I was admiring. The box that they sent him home in is absolutely perfect. Is tasteful and elegant and just so lovely. The certificate has his name on it and is wonderful as well.

Then I went to Esling funeral home they wasn't comforting either, I went further to Michigan city, and found Colmans funeral home, they were so warm and comforting, they brought my brother back home, and to rest, and with a reasonable amount for the funeral paid in full!
