The classes have been awesome! Actually pretty interesting information because it provides examples to what I would be doing when working in Pastoral leader. Dr. J is probably one of my favorite professors from Undergrad, 2 master's programs and now doctorate. Buuuuuut!!! The Business Office or Financial Planning Department is absolutely horrible. It has been the absolute worst experience ever. And they do not care at all. The responded w are almost robotic. If I didn't ABSOLUTELY LOVE the DMin program and staff, I would have quit after the first month. As a new student, I expected support, professionalism, and guidance. Unfortunately, my experience with the program leadership has been the opposite. Students are frequently spoken to disrespectfully and condescendingly by the program director/dean, especially after exams. Instead of offering encouragement or constructive feedback, entire classes are criticized for poor performance -- even when students may have failed by only one point or were tested on material that had not yet been properly taught. What was especially disappointing was hearing comments suggesting that South campus students do not get good jobs or are assigned the worst clinical sites. Information like this is never disclosed during enrollment, and it raises serious concerns about transparency within the program. Recently, students also received an email stating that if a student fails just one class, they may be required to repeat the entire semester. I plan to research whether this policy complies with federal financial aid regulations and academic policies because it seems unreasonable and potentially unfair. I will say that many of the professors themselves are kind, supportive, and genuinely helpful. However, the attitude and communication style of the program leadership create an unhealthy learning environment. I recently reached out to South College in Knoxville, TN through their website to request more details about their Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program. Unfortunately, I found that their website lacks crucial information about their programs--a missed opportunity, but one that makes more sense after my experience with their admissions process. Within seconds of submitting my request, I received a call from a representative. However, instead of providing details about the program, the rep immediately began surveying me with rapid-fire questions about my education, career, family, and interests. At no point did they actually share any information about the MRI program. It became clear that their approach was to vet me first--determining whether I was a good fit for them before they were willing to share any details about the program or the institution itself. After deciding that I met their criteria, I was invited to visit the campus to learn more. I declined, as I had expected a straightforward conversation about the program before committing to a visit. I understand that program directors typically have an exploratory questionnaire as part of the application process, but I did not expect this level of pre-screening from someone whose job was to inform prospective students. This experience speaks volumes about South College's priorities and institutional culture. For me, choosing a program isn't just about access to specific coursework--the resources, transparency, and support system of the institution itself are just as important. The lack of upfront program details and the focus on vetting students before offering information left me questioning whether this was the right fit for me. Absolute joke. My significant other in is the Ultra Sound program and from day one this school has been a joke. Constantly changing the cost of the program after payment plans have been signed, changing what material is required after already acquiring them, telling her that her CPR certificate is no good when they set her up for the class, and emailing her telling her she has 2 days to find health insurance or she is dropped from the program. Yall, it's July. We are no where near open enrollment. I know unfortunately this is the only school in this area that offers this program, but take your money elsewhere. They will rob you blind and have no remorse. And getting someone to reach back out to you is an absolute joke. read more

Stay away from this school , they will take your money and run. My son was accepted to the radiography program , missed the physics exam by 1.5 points was told they would work it out bc he is a great student. Only to call two days later and say he was dropped from the program , gave him false hope then took it from him . Now we have uniforms books and thousands of dollars wasted . read more

I had a really big issue with the professors and the rules of school work. They change the rules in every class. In one class I could turn in a quiz, and have three retakes if I didn't like the first grade. I didn't always do the best. However, I took the quiz retakes a couple days later so I could study what I had incorrect. When I did get the grade that I wanted, that I studied for, I was docked on my score and they told me it was late.In the next class I was told get the first quiz done on time and study what you got wrong. This class did it right. They gave me time to restudy the martial without cheating and looking at the given answer key. I don't know about anyone else right now, but it almost seems like they are not wanting anyone to graduate, so they pull shit that they feel they can sweep under the rug. This is one of the smaller problems. Bigger ones include taking financial aid stipends and taking money of the top. Charging different amount of money, fees, classes, tech, and tuition. I am missing money! Almost 4 hundred dollars. This place is a joke. They rip you off and tell you it is your fault. No amount of time is going to fix the corruption that is stated by dozens of students and previous students. Cheating has a zero tolerance, so what is yawls consequence for cheating us out of time, money, and personal success? My goodness, be proud of yourself's by changing your downfalls, Stop stealing, be integral, and DO A HELL OF A LOT BETTER THAN THIS SHIT. Show that the people there are more that just greedy and liars. BE HUMAN a get it together. read more

Very unprofessional and the teachers do not teach you anything just setting you up for failure

No one to ever answer student calls. I have been attending this school for 4 semesters. 3 academic advisors left, they schedule your classes without your input, and I have never been able to call and speak with someone from the bursars office. This school is not student oriented. They tout their 10 week quarters instead of semesters to lure you in. Truth is the student learns very little due to how classes are structured. Student advisors cant answer questions. Financial aid cant give straight answers. South College is actually shit. They scammed me by claiming that I completed 80% of a course which I didn't. I dropped in about 2 months because what I was advertised was much different then what was provided and personally I find Peer Reviews to be lazy which South College Online did alot of. I fought with them for months and have never shown no paperwork that verifies that. People like Heather M. giving it 5 Stars because she is sad that people rate it low and admitting that she hasn't been to another college before shows how poorly informed she is and how bias she is I'd say disregard her review and avoid South College. read more

This schools imaging program is a joke. There is not enough space here to tell all the problems. From the Dean, Dean of student services. and instructors in charge of the imaging program, don't have a clue. They do not disclose when signing up for the imaging program, every year there are around 50 to 60 plus students who apply and around 11-15 get in. This leaves you with a choice of continuing on to a B.S. degree, (more money in their pocket). or finding another school. Once in the program, the teachers do not know how to teach. One tries to imitate a video lecture you already have to watch, very poor job at it, and does not know the information. Their clinical site are a joke also. They have no plan for the student once there at the site. Go there to learn and you have over 50% of your time doing nothing. I would really consider traveling else where to get a proper education. This school in money driven, rather than focusing on giving people a proper education. Be warned people!!! read more

I have never neen to a school that did not have respect for the students. Most students are afraid to report the ways they are mistreated because they don't want to be dismissed because they know that the instructors hold grudges and keep students from graduating. So much unfairness goes on at this school, instructors give points in classes to help other students that they favor, while other students are overlooked. When reported to the dean or others in higher authority, they do nothing but join forces with the instructors. Because the instructors hold the grade books and are allowed to do as they please in the class rooms, students donn't stand a chance a chance of succeeding or moving forward in the classroom. The instructors have students studying for tests only to find out that nothing they tell students to study for is on the the tests. This school will set students up for failure by placing so much extra work to complete with no time to study for tests. In the end, all you will have to show is major debt from student loans, and all of the time waisted in the school, one comes to find that their crefits don't transfer. The only way to get this school to do right for the students is for all the students who whisper among themselves, just start to speak ip and tell the truth about south college. Thes people don't seem to care about the students. It is all anout the student loans and money they receive from the students. read more
