When my wife gave birth to all my kids and when I had…read moresurgery the church members rallied and brought us meals every day for 2 weeks and they have done it for everyone. One of the leaders of the church would call me every Saturday to see how my family and I are doing. The church is full of seasoned Christians who want nothing more than to serve God. There is on average 30 -40 people every week and at least half of them volunteer to serve at the church all the time. This is a great fellowship to meet people to do life with. I highly recommend this church to anyone who wants to worship God and hear solid teachings.

This building was named after my grandfather, a man who was so involved with this church for many many years, a man who was loved by all who attended this church. Sadly, is one of the more Progressive branches of Protestantism. The Progressive Church is on the Road to Perdition, Progressive Ministers are leading their flocks astray by their adherence to the Secular Rationalist Humanist Tradition and call it the Modern Living Church.

The wonderful natural backdrop of lakes/rivers/snow/trees makes this place an oasis in the middle of nowhere. The retreat center is gorgeous with wonderful coaches, a fireplace, rooms, and plenty of extra space. The conference center has a large room that doubles as a dining hall and an "everything else" space. There was even a natural camp fire lit for us one night outside of the dining hall! The staff is the friendliest! The food was great! Hats off to the chefs! The chapel is gorgeous with wonderfully colorful icons. Everything about our retreat weekend there was lovely. Thanks to everyone out at St. Methodios who made it such a comfortable and splendid weekend! Positives: Lodging, spaces available, food, staff, location, natural backdrop, everything! This place is gorgeous!…read more My first time up here to Contoocook. The grounds are gorgeous. My group stayed in the "hotel part" of the retreat center. Everything was clean, quiet, and well kept. My senior class and I had a wonderful retreat with our school president. I wish we could have spent more time there. The facilities are incredible, and the staff there is so kind and willing to help. I hope to come again soon and bring youth groups and others up here to share the beauty of this retreat center.
