The park itself is pretty typical, with RV's lined up in adjacent spaces. We had grass, shade, a picnic table, hook-ups, and wifi (yay!), and chickens roamed around the park all day. How is this not a fun place? When we checked in, there was an envelope tacked to the office door with my name on it with all the check-in information. Gotta love a process that is intuitive and effective! They let us have an early check-out the next day, so we didn't have to pay for an extra night, which was super nice! When we go back, I will ask about spaces near the river. My friend and I sat down next to the river at an un-occupied RV space and watched the sunset and listened to the flowing water. Very nice. No, the place is not perfect, and might feel a bit rough around the edges for some people, but it has that sort of "Riggins" feel, which fits my attitude nicely. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat if I needed a place to park my RV for a night.

First off the park is beautiful and nice to look at. However, I witnessed some things that would…read moreensure I will never come back. They have a dog on leash policy, which is posted everywhere. On my morning walk I witnessed a gentleman two campsites down walking his dog off a leash down by the boat Storage. The Park host asked him to put the dog up and he did so immediately. While the Park host continued walking her dog around the park, she witnessed somebody else three campsites down from him, exercising his hunting dogs down by the river. She yelled at this older gentleman to lock his dogs up, but I would say it was safe to assume he couldn't hear. The Park host then walked her dog all the way into somebody else's campsite where they had their dog leashed and tied to the fire pit. After a few seconds, the park host little dog snapped at the other dog chained to the fire pit and they got into a fight. Nobody was injured, but the Park host was definitely in the wrong. She screamed at my girlfriend and I while all this was going on and we were five campsites away doing nothing. While this is happening the gentleman three campsites down was putting his dogs in the trailer and the lady screamed at him as well. After everything was said and done the gentleman with the two hunting dogs who had nothing to do with any altercation whatsoever was kicked out of the park that day for something he had nothing to do with. Because the Park host demanded an apology from him for something he had nothing to do with. The lady that owned the other dog involved in the altercation went and told the Park host it had nothing to do with the other gentleman, but because he hurt the Park hose feeling by not apologizing for something he didn't do he was kicked out. This was not fair or just. It has nothing to do with me, but I watched the entire scenario unfold and the park host as well as the park Owner were completely in the wrong!

We absolutely loved staying at The RV Landing at Carlson Ranch. The Staff was so knowledgable, from…read morethe moment we got there we were greeted with a smile from Tracey on a Holiday week. The RV sites were clean, large, paved with rocks, picnic tables and a fire pit. Everything was in excellent condition. The full hook-ups were amazing! The RV sites are on the river with a perfect view of the mountains, and ranch views of cows and animals. We were able to catch steelhead fish on the river bank. The Landing has a wonderful playground which my kids fully enjoyed around the clock. The restrooms, were fully stocked and cleaned multiple times a day. Along with a great location the Wi-Fi was amazing, we were able to watch college football! We had family with us renting a tiny cabin, which was the perfect size for a family of 4! They are fully equipped with a kitchenette, loft and bunk bed and heated to perfection in November! I would give this place 5 stars! If you don't believe me, come check it out yourself and tell them I sent you.

We're coming back this week and are looking forward to meeting the new owners. The place was up for sale when we were last here. Actually considered purchasing but we had just retired and decided we'd rather visit it than own it because we have a lot of places we'd like to go yet.

Beautiful sunrise AND sunset views! There's a small number of spots, large and nicely spaced out, no cramming in together here, easy to get in and out and pull through. My site went slightly uphill but I didn't have a problem getting my trailer level. I drove by the RV park a few miles away in Grangeville and they look packed in like sardines, which made me really happy I chose this one. New infrastructure (nice water and electric hookups), fire rings and clean high quality picnic tables. If you don't mind dumping your tanks at the free spot a couple of blocks away, then this park is a great choice. I used the private shower house and the shower felt like a luxury compared to my RV one. The water softener made my hair softer than it's been in a long time! There are even towels and guest soaps. Two towns are nearby with services. My cell signal worked perfectly and so did the wifi. What makes this place special is the "real people" owners. They clearly go out of their way to make sure you get everything you expected and then some. They run their park the way I would if I owned one - with generosity and kindness. They were also very accommodating when some tent campers showed up on short notice to camp with our group. The prices are excellent and it's very affordable to stay for longer periods of time. There aren't a bunch of amenities and activities, but I'm not the kind of camper who cares about that kind of stuff. I'll take beautiful, peaceful and spacious any day. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely stay here.

The whole property is very well maintained. Each RV site is spaced out comfortably from eachother. Free WiFi was included along with a picknick table, firepit & wood, water & electric. Conveniently located very close to an RV dump station, grocerie stores and not to mention the Salmon river is only about a 30 minute drive away. What a GEM! Grangeville was completely booked for some indescribable reason and the lady at one of…read morethe motels in town suggested this place. Wow! This is a find that I am hesitant to post as it will become a favorite of any "Glamper" and RV enthusiast for it's obvious offerings. To begin with, it is a heck of a drive as this place is located off the US 95 Route near Baker Gultch on the Salmon River in White Bird, Idaho. Not especially on a "destination" list but definately worth the trip. We only stayed one night as it was time to head back home from our long trip but will be back. The cabin was spotless, staff consisted of a manager and a very sweet gal and her two awesome little boys and an incredbly handsome german shepherd named Vox. We showed up with some big drops of water from the sky bringing down a combination of ashes from the fires out west and smoke which had been hazing the landscape for the past 50 miles or so. The evening was incredibly peaceful and in the morning I went to explore the beach and river access. Bring some floaties or a kyack/canoe or fishing pole. The gentleman at the edge of the water fishing said you can catch a bass from his spot! There are also River Tours down the road and all kinds of activities. We only took part in the peacefulness part. Beds were comfortable, bedding clean and rooms well appointed. Small refridgerators, microwaves and sattellite tv. WiFi was also avaliable. I would love to come back here to enjoy some of the activities but it is a really long way from home. If we ever plan a trip that direction, it is definitely a spot I would love to stay.

Not a resort, but a nice little park. Convenient to the highway which does lend itself to road…read morenoise. Several permanents, mostly families, but everyone is friendly. Laundry is very clean. 2washers, 2 dryers. We took a back-in site which had a nice tree to shade the back of the RV. Site was level. Decent WIFI. 30 AMP (not a problem for us) Great water pressure. Oh, and the sunsets were amazing. Stayed 9 days exploring the area. Just beautiful!

Decent WiFi, water pressure was good, park was clean, and the owners were pleasant and friendly...and is the ONLY reason they're getting a second star. Something changed roundabout June of 2022. The owners became either unable or unwilling to communicate like adults, locking tenants out of the restrooms, and generally making existence in this RV park uncomfortable for anyone with children. The locking out of the restrooms did not extend to all residents, only those with children, as per my experience and those of other parents there at the time with whom I've spoken. When we decided it was time to leave, we did get what was left of our deposit back, though it took them almost a solid month to do so. This place is okay for single people, retirees, or people passing through...but if you have another option, regardless of your circumstances, I very highly recommend you exercise those other options. If you're going to treat people like they're in a snobby RV resort and don't belong, then perhaps run an RV resort, and not an RV park with shitty gravel and no grass. Go elsewhere if you can.

I paid rent on time for the last 2 months at this RV spot. All the owner Joe has done is harass…read moremyself and my kids. We've had one noise complaint while we lived here. Which I handled but after that the owners done nothing but harass us. He seen pictures of my camper before I moved here and it was okay and now it's not. He's getting to the point where he comes up and knocks on our door and tells us what we need to fix and stuff on our camper and ask why it hasn't been fixed yet. And now this morning I got a knock on the door from cops because my child's been riding a bike and this was at 6:00 in the morning that I had the cops show up here with Joe pressing the charges not the cops. Sad part is my kids been grounded off the bike for 4 days and it supposedly happened during those days that he has not had the keys. So if you're looking for an awesome spot to camp or hold over for a while this is not it. I would suggest either kooskia kamiah or grangeville. This is been a horrible experience. And I wish this upon nobody.

Queen bedroom downstairs and the upstairs had a queen with four twins. We were able to cook and do all our laundry. Great place to stay if you're hunting or just wanted to enjoy the small town of stites. We will be coming back here again!
