NOT FIXING WASHING MACHINE WITH MOLD IN IT. They are saying the mold in the washing machine is a "cosmetic issue" even though it's smells like mold and looks like mold. We have been living here for a month and they have still have not fixed the washing machine and it's to the point that we are waking up feeling sick everyday. Mold is a health hazard and it says in paragraph 25 and 31 of our lease that they must fix anything that causes health hazards.... Yet that won't fix this so we have been going back and forth with them for a month now.The apartment was disgusting when we moved in. The paint job is horrible and they didn't clean before they painted so they just painted a bunch of hair into the wall.. the floors were covered in filth and shoe prints. The cabinets in the kitchen have a paper that was poorly put on so it's now coming up. Once we moved our stuff in I noticed there was glass stuck in the dishwasher. Had a tour at this place with this really good looking guy named Hunter don't tell my husband ! Anyway one of my favorite things about it was being a California girl they had a pool and on the way to the pool they had a pool table and a refrigerator to keep all your food and drinks that you could just walk in from the pool to keep your drinks and food cool which I've never seen it any other property that I've stayed at rented or visited with friends . The place was so clean the apartments were amazing . Hunter told me that they do events for this renters like barbecues and pool parties at their expense which I thought was amazing so I couldn't wait to tell my husband that I found our spot . I was disappointed when my husband said that we weren't relocating after all . However if we were I would definitely be choosing this location not only for the kindness of Hunter but just for the cleanliness and the whole facility seemed perfect for anyone that wanted clean comfortable lifestyle near shops and restaurants. My first year at South Ridge was fine for the most part, however, I did not have any maintenance problems with my apartment. Once I had a few maintenance problems, my entire experience went downhill. Back in August, my AC went out. They came by to "fix" it, but really just put a band-aid on a bullet hole. I was charged astronomically by my utility company for my electricity because my AC had been in overdrive because they hadn't really fixed my AC. It wasn't until OCTOBER, that they came and really fixed it after I complained. Additionally, my washer has had a broken spin cycle since the beginning of September. It is now almost mid October, and I still have not been able to wash clothes in my own apartment that I pay way too much for. Luckily, I have friends willing to loan me their washer, and I can find a laundromat. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had any clean clothes for weeks now. I was more than patient and understanding with both of these problems. I put in about 5-6 maintenance requests over a span of a couple of weeks for both of these issues. However, it got to the point where it was just absolutely ridiculous. I tried calling the office, but they wouldn't even pick up the phone. It wasn't until I wrote an entire long email to the leasing office that they attempted to do anything about it. Even then, they didn't offer to help with my extra expenses due to my AC and having to go elsewhere for my laundry even though it entirely their fault that they never came to truly fix these things. They didn't even seem to really care about the problem either. read more

If there were an option to leave a review with a negative rating, I'd exercise my right to do so. The leasing office accepted a cookie delivery that I sent to a friend that lives in this apartment complex, for his birthday. He stopped by the office the day after the delivery, but they weren't in the office (although according to their business hours, they should have been). He went back the next day to only be told they threw away his delivery, because "it was food". Timeline: The package contained cookies that were baked on Monday and delivered on Monday, for his birthday. He went by the leasing office on Tuesday to pick up his package, during business hours. There were no members, of the leasing staff, in the office when he stopped by, during business hours, on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he went by the leasing office again. Instead of collecting his package, he was told it was thrown away. He wasn't notified of the package's arrival by the leasing office. He wasn't contacted by them at any point. The leasing office took it upon themselves to throw away his birthday dessert, on Wednesday, without so much as saying a word to him. This is the same apartment complex that replaced his broken sliding door lock with a lock that cannot be opened or closed from the outside, which was one of the selling points of his ground level apartment. When he sent an inquiry asking to have the lock changed, to a lock that would allow him to lock and unlock it from the outside, they told him they wouldn't consider doing so. When he cited this being a selling point of his particular unit & utilizing the door in the capacity in which his unit was advertised would result in his apartment being susceptible to theft, they didn't care. They didn't so much as lift a finger for him. This same apartment complex will send a maintenance personnel out immediately if there is a water leak in a unit, because they value their asset. While valuing their structure is important, they should also value the people living in their residences. Unfortunately, they do not. read more

South Ridge Moved out March 14 2023 I want to begin by mentioning that I've never written a review on anything in my entire life but I feel obligated to warn people about this place. Having said, let's start with the pros of living in South Ridge. It's a short walk away from downtown and Cleveland Park. Now moving on to the cons. Residents simply do not pick up after their pets. I received weekly emails regarding this issue but not a single one made a difference. The surrounding area as well as inside the building stairwells are always littered with animal feces and urine, and South Ridge does absolutely nothing about it. There is a big cockroach problem, at least in the main building 1. I lived on the top floor and still had pest control making visits regularly, especially during the warmer months. The entire building's fire alarms went off CONSTANTLY. I suggest investing in some nice noise canceling headphones and ear plugs, you're going to need them. To top it all off, they decided to deduct $30 from my security deposit for a burnt out light bulb. When I asked them why I was being charged for this, their response was a single image of the light and an image of the inspection form I filled out on day one of moving in. After following up, they refused to provide further details. The people who run South Ridge are some of the most unprofessional clowns I've dealt with in my many years of renting apartments. In short, if you enjoy the aroma of animal excrement in and around all of the buildings, are looking for company in the form of cockroaches, prefer to be woken up in the middle of the night on a regular basis from blaring fire alarms, and are not expecting to receive your full security deposit that you are entitled to, then welcome to paradise. read more

Listen, you can't beat the price and location. Hands down, excellent location for those looking to enjoy the swamp rabbit trail and all downtown has to offer. Now staying home is another story... the walls and floors are paper thin, you WILL complain about noise. Bet on that. The garbage never ends, the staff simply do not care about maintaining the premises clean from the parking garage to the stairwells. I sometimes wonder how they dare give people tours of this place. Maintenance will pop up on you within minutes of submitting a ticket whether they can help or not. Whether they are kind or profesional is not guaranteed. However, if you need something from the office, you'd better go in person and early. They DO NOT respond to voicemails, emails, or multiple calls a day. You will apologize to your guests as you guide them to your place because the parking garage, stair wells, and hallways are disgusting! I could complain all day but again, location location location. There was a photo limit but I have plenty more nightmare fuel. Be warned, great area and price-- you're gonna hold your nose walking to your apartment in the summer. read more

Let me start off with this, beautiful apartments from the exterior. Beautiful facility. Awesome location. Great if you're young wanting to live a more urban style type of life in Greenville. Before recently, management was understanding... never very responsive, but still kind. I lived here for 2 years, and the last 5 months did it for me. Almost 3x a week the fire alarms were going off, no emails explaining why- just consistent jolting out of bed nightly because of the alarms. That cannot be safe. The management is by far try to get their "ideal type of tenant in there"... you take what you want with that. They're lazy, and rude $$$ hungry succulents. If you're a person of minority STAY AWAY!!! If you have kids or disabilities stay away!!!! I went 3 months without AC during a pandemic with 2 small children, Reid (who I bet they recently hired to try to see more inclusive-still racist) downplayed the severity, they ignored phone calls. And it had to take 10 different people on my behalf to complain for them to attempt to fix it!! Secondly, the amenities suck. They're all dirty, rusted, always broken down, and the inside of the homes were so poorly built that they fall apart. The stairways and hallways in the other 5 buildings are absolutely disgusting!!!! Especially building 5!!! They harass you if they need you for something simple like signing a piece of paper, but when you need them they're ghost. Like I said they're pretentious. What did it for me was Reid. He's the most micro aggressive one, but it saddens to see another minority treat other ones with such lack of compassion and respect due to the color of their skin. Over all they're overpriced. Don't pay $1700 monthly on an apartment home that's a frat house. There's better out their in Greenville! Oh and we miss Kendra!! read more

Southridge is under new management and this time the new management staff and Reid - are terrific. Since my three years living here, FINALLY the fire alarm system is corrected. Alarms used to BLARE in the middle of the night nearly very month. Thank you for correcting this! In addition, they have added special dog friendly mulch to our dog park out back. The dogs LOVE it. However, the dog park still needs doggie bags and waste stations IN the dog park. Since Customer Service is my wheelhouse...I am MOST pleased with the new staff and management team now. Single worst apartment experience of my life. I was told by others that I would eventually hate living here and they were correct. I'm 2 weeks away from getting out of here and the elevator will most likely be "out" on move day. I live on the 6th floor. The amenities are crap, management treats their tenants poorly, you are charged exorbitantly for everything and their is a complete lack of service. If your key fob stops working over the weekend, you're out of luck getting into the building. The security officer is instructed not to let you in the building and emergency maintenance does not return your phone call. The elevator is out constantly and seems unsafe most of the time. You are harassed for small balances even after notifying the office. Amenities (pool and elevators) are shut down out of spite. Sad part is that as a corporation they know what they can get away with and they border on unsafe, unethical practices everyday. Your only recourse is to move out and fill out negative reviews. read more
