I've unfortunately developed a network of doctors that I've come to depend on - I say unfortunately as it implies I'm falling apart, bit by bit. But, at least I know I can come here and receive such thorough care. Dr. Seidman is awesome. Period. I foolishly had been walking around with a wrist that was beyond Tylenol's magical healing properties for months. He examined the wrist, explained what was going on, gave me recommendations for treatment, all while being friendly, professional and thorough. Honestly, I felt better just knowing what was going on and what to do about it, instead of imagining . . . the worst! Yes, it's a busy office but, so what? You won't be overlooked, you'll be seeing caregivers who are up to date on the latest treatments and 2 Pond Park has like the easiest medical offices in the world to park and access. I am filed a formal complaint against Dr. Binedetto and Kaitlin at South shore Orthropedics 2 pond, Hingham, MA for unprofessional conduct, patient intimidation, and the threat of active patient abandonment. During my daughter's appointment on 7/14/2026, while seeking care for an ongoing injury, both became hostile against me when I was advocating for my daughter's recovery timeline. Dr. Michael R DiBenedetto verbally threatened to my daughter from the practice on the spot. As a vulnerable, injured patient, she was subjected to extreme emotional duress and only received continued care after she broke down crying. This behavior violates the AMA Code of Medical Ethics and poses a direct threat to safe patient care read more

I wanted to give them a better review and I should have known from the AI answering service that the customer service would be terrible. You can not speak with a live person when making an appointment and when I tried to go on their portal and upload my insurance cards, it would always say error. Making an appointment shouldn't be this difficult. I finally got an apt with Dr. Geary but was told it was his PA, Matt. We waited over 2 weeks for our apt and the day of the appointment a few hours before, I actually got a call from their office, a live person and they canceled our appointment saying Matt was sick and no-one could see my daughter for her appointment. I was shocked a the last minute cancellation and that no-one could see my daughter when we have been waiting patiently for weeks. So unprofessional and maybe for the best as you can tell they do not care about new patients. The person who called seemed impatient and busy. Awful experience from beginning to end. read more

I visited Dr. Michael Rowland for a consult on knee surgery. I found him to be condescending and rude. He asked questions that I considered unprofessional and seemed to imply that I was ignorant about my condition. He did not listen to any of my ideas and suggestions. My brother accompanied me. Dr. Rowland performed 2 hip replacement surgeries for him, one less than 5 months ago and did not even recognize or acknowledge him. Needless to say I will not be seeing Dr. Rowland again nor would I recommend him to anyone. I have since found a doctor whom I trust and will have knee surgery performed by him. read more

Care was horrible it took my primary care doctor for to give me a ultrasound to find a baker cyst in back of my knee , I had already seen orthopedic at this junk factory and what I got for my trouble was a shot and you need a knee replacement, meanwhile I told him about the excruciating pain I had behind my knee an calf just dismissed it although pain in my knee subsided the baker cyst wreaked havoc till I went to see my primary care who LISTENED and helped this place is a joke visits with the doctor are about a minute and a half and out you go , no talking just choices here's your shot or take a surgery and then they will talk absolutely a shit hole. 15 years ago I had shoulder surgery Dr. Rowland performed it it was Flawless great doctor till this day can't say much for the asshat I saw this time I'm going to spare his name cause I have nothing good to say but he knows who he is . When we were referred here by a local urgent care (they sent over our daughter's X-rays without asking us where we'd like them sent), I was very hesitant to go back after my horrible experience. I have to say the 2 times we had to go for our daughter, it was a great experience. If you pre register online, you can check in quickly in their mobile line. Even though the waiting room was packed and I still refer to the place as a factory, we only waited 5 minutes or so each time. Our last visit, we were in and out, including getting X-rays, in 20 minutes. Emily Zaleski Physician Assistant, was wonderful. So good with our daughter. Didn't make us feel rushed. Took the time to explain everything. Felt like she genuinely cared. While I wouldn't come back here if I had an extensive issue, for a kid's broken toe, it was a pleasant experience. read more

Dr. Rowland treated my hip pain - first conservatively and then with a total hip replacement. He and his staff and everyone in this office are very professional, very efficient and answered my questions and made me feel at ease throughout the process. They also seamlessly wade through and provide paperwork; and I never had to worry about that part. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice. Also, shout out to Claire upstairs on the third floor who literally walked me through the physical therapy aftercare. Not only is she a therapy GENIUS but always made me feel like I had her full attention and felt she was truly invested in my full recovery. My experience with 2 of the Doctors were both horrible. I would find another Orhtopedic office they were horrible I am looking elsewhere for 'better quality - care'. First off when you walk in don't expect any kind of warm welcome. Not all but majority of front desk staff is by no means friendly. This office is more concerned with co pays etc. second they make you keep a card on file so if you owe any money after co pays and insurance they will use your card to withdraw what's owed prior to advising you that your card will be used to pay for said balance. Third - Front desk staff in my experience is rude and condescending. Fourth If your surgeons leaves facility such as mine did Dr Karasinski don't expect to receive a letter informing you that your surgeon left. When I asked on phone if letters were sent out I was told yes. I never received a letter. I also asked if a letter was sent it should be in my file and was then told "I have no idea". Well perhaps you could find out! In my eyes extremely unprofessional office. There invoices are extremely confusing to read as well. Think twice about this facility. It's a factory of patients in and out but again more concerned over there co pays for your 2 min appt with either the PA or your-surgeon. 0 Stars given!! read more

The doctors are great but the office is a disaster. Waited an hour for a 15 min appointment. It seems you are overbooking, and patient respect is zero. If I showed up late, you would make me reschedule. Other patients waiting have the same complaint and won't be back because of it. Patients have lives and responsibilities, and to make someone wait that long is unacceptable. The last time I was there I spent 20 min standing in line even though I did mobile check-in. July 30, 2024 injured in a very serious accident, dislocating my leg, and ripping all my quad tendons, Taken to shore hospital by ambulance, could not say enough about south shore hospital, it's ambulance drivers, Weymouth fire department, the hospital personnel .after my stay in the emergency room, I was recommended to go to south shore orthopedics. I was immediately made an appointment, where I was seen by Dr. John Kadzielski. I was for imaging and evaluation. I needed surgery immediately. The entire staff couldn't have been any nicer. Making a scary situation. As comfortable as it could be. I went into surgery and well, knowing everything I needed to know everyone was knowledgeable and explained everything to me. After surgery. I was well informed on what I needed to do and how I should do. it the staff was amazing. At this time, I was told in about four weeks to six weeks I would start physical therapy. After multiple visits by the physicians assistant and the surgeon himself. I was cleared for physical therapy. I started physical therapy. At South Shore orthopedics. For 10 weeks I was in a mechanical brace. Melissa Kennedy. Was my physical therapist. Explained everything very carefully. I instructions to a T! 4 1/2 months later, I am back on my feet doing well. Thanks to the great care of South Shore orthopedics and their amazing staff. I am a 67 year-old very active person. Because I followed their instructions to a T. I am way ahead of schedule. I couldn't be any more pleased! The entire experience has been wonderful from beginning to end. I still have more physical therapy. But I am on my way to being 100% thanks to the wonderful people at South Shore orthopedics! read more

My experience with the facility is abysmal. My loved one cannot get a call back, zero explanation as to why his appointments are not approved. We then call his Ins & they say no request has been submitted and prior authorization is not required. He has been a patient of theirs for years & this happens a lot! No excuse! I had a family member go to South Shore Orthopedic recently. After going to them for 5 years for some orthopedic issues, and receiving medical care and injections if needed. On his most recent visit regarding a lower body pain issue, he was told that "there is nothing more we can do for you, and maybe you can look into perhaps a good walking stick or maybe acupuncture"? He had been getting treatment for 5 years and could you ever imagine a doctor ever saying something like that to anybody? So much for compassion and sympathy. Not even a referral to someplace that can be of better assistance. Avoid this place at all costs. Sounds like they will use you if it is easy for them and your insurance is good. No complaints once you get to see a doctor, but their scheduling process gets an F. Their website offers you the option to request a visit, but then it's ignored or goes into a black hole. After my visit, I was told the office would contact me to schedule a procedure, then again, crickets. 10 days later I have to call them. Followup also gets an F. Do better! read more

Dr K is amazing... both knowledgeable and personal. He removed a cist from wrist and helped me with a broken ankle in 4 places. Today my ankle is like nothing happened and my wrist the same. I recommend him highly. I won't go anywhere else...and neither should you He's just simply the best!!!! read more

This place is really great! They are efficient from the minute you get to the front desk. Nice, polite folks get you checked in and then after a quick seat, you are usually quickly called to the examination, etc area. Everyone I've interacted with has been great - from check in, to those who escort into the back, x-ray techs, cast and splint area folks and, last but not least, Doctor Seidman and his whole team. They've all made a pretty nasty skiing injury at least a little easier to deal with and helped me heal. Thanks to all of you! read more

South Shore Orthopedics is amazing. I am being seen there by Dr.Seidman for my right hand/wrist. He is a great hand specialist. He makes you feel hurt and important even though he is so busy. The staff there are all very kind and patient. It is also a modern, clean and comfortable office with all of the new technology that makes appointments go smoothly and quickly. Very poor experience. Lack of bedside manner, lack of information...I had to ask all of the questions and still didn't really understand some of the answers I was given by Dr. Marchetti. Hendrickson was helpful. I continue to have issues and they don't care or call to follow up even though they knew I was having issues. I reached out several times via the electronic patient gateway after my surgery and I kept being blown off and told to wait for scheduled follow up visit. One year later I still receive electronic questionnaires to check in on my progress and quality of life, I express continued issues I am having, and still no one calls to follow up. They are like a factory line there ushering patients in and out and no real whole patient care. I went into Boston to specialist and was told they wouldn't have done the same approach that Marchetti took. I will never go back and tell anyone that has issues, to go elsewhere. read more

Dr. Seidman is nice enough and I think he did a good job on my carpel tunnel surgery (the jury is still out on the benefit but the incision healed well etc.) but several things happened that have soured me: 1. Dr. Seidman was 1 hour late for a follow up appointment 2. There was no specific follow up physical therapy prescribed just "use as normal" - I had to look up the treatment online on my own (finger and wrist exercises that really helped) 3. They are affiliated with "South Shore Health" (SSH) but it is a separate entity. The extremely similar names has caused confusion 4. I continued to get bills from them months later (for this reason or that reason - to them it makes perfect sense but to me it just feels like you are being milked to death - especially after paying thousands and thousands via insurance and out of pocket) and finally I paid my final bill and they confirmed everything was "zero balance" 5. Then a month later (at 7am via email - wonderful way to start the day) I get another bill from South Shore Health(SSH not SSO) out of blue - I call South Shore Ortho (SSO) they explain that they use the facilities of South Shore Health but are 2 separate billing departments - at this point my head is starting to spin especially after I thought this was case closed. I was transferred to the program director who is new to the job and said he would get back to me. I apologize for getting upset on the phone but please try to understand how it looks from my perspective. To their credit both the program director and initial administrator assistant were calm with me 7. Then I have to call South Shore Health (SSH). I try to set up my account to their portal (yes you need 2 portals to pay your bills or at least understand them) but the activation code is invalid. Finally after entering all sorts of info on the site (including my County name??) they said in a few weeks I'll get my activation code 8.South Shore Health (SSH) hung up on me 9.I call South Shore Health (SSH) back and finally I just agree to pay the bill (without really knowing what's it's for) so it doesn't go into collections, etc. It felt like extortion This reminds me of how Sears would have to separate cash register + return systems for the upstairs and downstairs in Cambridge. Pure Byzantine insanity. We saw what happened to Sears. I know it's just the system but is it up to me to change it? We do have choice there are other surgical options and organizations out there I hope they can get their act together and integrate the billing, respect the patients time, and also provide bona-fide post-operative instructions. As a customer, when they (SSO) tells you that you have 'zero balance' you take that at it's word. As a patient I did everything I was supposed to. Showed up on time, paid on time, followed the instructions, etc... My game was A+ why can't I get the same in return? Bottom Line: Dr. Seidman is nice guy and probably an excellent surgeon but the system surrounding him is painful. I would be reluctant to work with SSO or SSH or SS* again read more

I was using Crutches and had my appointment on a Snowy day. The entrance to the building was a death trap with wet floors - not conducive to walking on Crutches. After entering the system here you are just a number, bringing in money. It seemed the Doctor was in such a hurry to fix the easy part of my Ankle Fracture, that he completely missed 2 more breaks. How does this happen? They had me on the " conveyor belt" of care all lined up and totally impersonal. If you are looking for mass care this is your place. the supporting staff works hard,considering the amount of patients they see daily. the surgeon I've had the unpleasant experience of dealing with, on the other hand, is a narcissistic, toxic person. he's nothing but a BUTCHER who REALLY doesnt give a rats ass about anything regarding his patients. he doesnt care about pain management after surgery, just screwed up my surgery and now is trying to get me under the knife again. I don't know anyone who has enjoyed a trip to the orthopedic surgeon, so my five stars are for an unpleasant job well done. South Shore Orthopedics treated my lateral tibial plateau fracture efficiently and with a smile. Over 3 months as a patient I am continually impressed with how quickly I get through x-rays to see my doctor (I wish other Dr. visits were this speedy!). I'm always able to make an appointment next-day or within a business day; I've had no trouble on the phone or in-person; they recommended a great list of PT providers and the SSO staff seem to love their jobs. The only hang-up was in receiving a travel insurance form my Dr. had to sign: this took about two weeks including postage but I'm still satisfied with the turnaround time. I would be wary of the number of one star reviews on this site. I'm sure the number of satisfied SSO patients dwarfs the few who have had legitimate but unfortunate bad experiences. I'd wholeheartedly recommend SSO. read more

Most unprofessional practice. There is an enormous amount of unaddressed overpayment's for services rendered at this practice. If a patient pays more than they are required to, this practice never notifies the patient. So it seems that they plan to keep these payment's indefinitely, which is illegal. I recently requested an appointment for my leg injury that led to my honorable discharge from the army. I received a call back today and right off the bat I was given attitude. After I was trying to explain my injury to the woman, she kept saying "something isn't adding up" as if she was doubting my military service. I've never written a review for ANYWHERE but this appalled me. I really felt as though she didn't believe I was ever in the military and it was extremely frustrating. If only I could give this practice 10 stars I would! What an amazing experience! First of all, I was having rather severe knee pain, and Plymouth Bay Orthopedics gave me an appointment two weeks out. I called SSO (South Shore Orthopedics) on Monday morning, they called me back immediately, and I got an appointment for Tuesday morning. They took my health history over the phone, which I greatly appreciated. I arrived 10 minutes early and was called back 5 minutes later. I had X-rays immediately and only waited 5 minutes to go into an examination room. Dr. Sunkin came in after 5 more minutes, assessed my problem, explained my options, and gave me a cortisone shot per my wishes. I truly felt that my time was worth something, and that the doctors, PA's and staff went to great effort to stay on time. Whoever dictates that patient time is important deserves major kudos! Honestly, if all doctors' offices ran like this one, the world would be a much better place! My sincere thanks, gratitude and appreciation go to SSO!
