First, I noticed that the South Bend Cubs were listed under their previous name, the South Bend…read moreSilver Hawks, from 1994-2014 but were purchased by the Chicago Cubs in 2015 and renamed the South Bend Cubs. I wrote a review for Coveleski Stadium, which is actually called Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium. So, everything is currently challenging to find on Yelp if you're looking for a review. I made some of the critical points in the other review. So, here it goes, 1. We were surprised we could sit behind the dugout for $13.00 per seat. Most other Low-A to High-A teams are closer to the $20.00 range. 2. For a stadium that opened in 1987, it was one of the cleanest ballparks. It's not pristine but clean for a ballpark that can seat up to five thousand per game. 3. They had free parking, and most ballparks charge at least $5.00 and upwards to $20.00. It is right next to the stadium's entrance, and plenty of street parking exists. 4. We were also surprised that they still filled the stadium even though it wasn't a special giveaway event (e.g., free hat, shirt, etc.). Finally, the crowd was focused on the game, so it was a good experience for anyone who loves baseball.

I am completely impressed with the whole set up. The aquatic center seems to have something for absolutely everyone: a lap pool for the serious swimmers, which isn't wide, but is full length; a winding walking/floating area with a bit of current for walkers like me and those who want to drift in big, blue inner tubes; a fantastic water slide as good as many at water parks I've visited; and a zero-depth play area with a giant bucket overhead that fills with water from a suspended faucet and tips over periodically, dousing all those playing below! The area is high-ceilinged and bright, with huge windows on all sides. There are tables and chairs, and lounge chairs. The locker room didn't wow like the rest of the aquatic area...but it's a locker room! I'm planning on exploring the weight area next, which is large and filled with what looks like state of the art machines. I'm told you can always get advice about how to use the machines. About the food: I've eaten there three times in four days and the food was delicious, abundant and remarkably inexpensive. I told them they need a drive-up -- they're so much better than fast food! I'm actually considering coming here with friends just for lunch. The facility is well attended, even in the dog days of August, by folks of all ages, colors, and physical fitness. A couple of previous reviewers harped on its location as low-income: it's not in an upscale part of town, but it's hardly a poor man's club. It's a bright, clean, well-run facility that caters to everyone. And who doesn't want that?!! The staff I dealt with, enrolling and subsequently, were pleasant and knowledgable -- nothing like previous reviewers experienced. My membership is $30/month, for which I get free range of the facility all day, everyday. Classes are extra, or I can upgrade to free classes for $40/month. I don't see how you can beat that!
