For as long as I been working out at 24 Hour Fitness in Downtown Honolulu, I can't believe I've…read morenever done a write-up on this garage! I've been parking here for over a decade, as well as two other municipal parking garages in the area. Very easy to get here. Located on the right side of Bishop Street, both entrance and exit between 7-11 and Starbucks/Territorial Savings Bank, and another exit via South King St. It's definitely one of the most expensive rates in the CBD. But with gym validation, parking is only $1 Mon-Fri starting at 4:30pm, and Sat & Sun 6am-10pm for up to 3 hours. Every Federal Holiday, the rate is treated as a weekend. It's easily accessible via separate elevators into the Executive Centre Hotel with a set of escalators from street side down to the hotel lobby. Few negatives. No EV charging stations, many "Reserve" stalls on every level, so you may find yourself driving up to levels 6 & 7, cash only. Few positives, very clean facilities and elevators, wide parking spaces, security on site, and the nearest garage to 24 Hour Fitness. If you are parking here at night make sure you are aware of your surroundings, watch your back, females especially walk with a friend. Also Auntie working the exit booth is the best! So positive, spiritual, and full of Aloha! Make sure you treat her nicely, because she will remember you for life!

Just reiterating what everyone else has already said regarding 24 Hour Fitness parking before…read more4:30pm--this place is a fucking trap. They put visitor parking all the way on the 9th floor, very clever if you are charging by time. You gotta go round (1) and round (2) and round (3) and round (4) and round (5) and round (6) and round (7) and round (8) and round (9) before you can use the first available stall. Then to get to 24 Hour, you gotta go down the elevator, walk through the lobby, go up the escalator then walk halfway down the block. THEN you gotta do all that shit again in reverse when you leave. What looks like a straightforward route on google maps is an $8 trap for 40 minutes of your car existing. Part of it is my fault since 24 Hour also doesnʻt validate till after 4:30pm, so donʻt be a fool like me and not do your due diligence. But there was too much design behind this trap not to be a glaring example of price gouging.

Used this parking lot recently on 2 different occasions. Entrance is on Bethel Street so when…read moreyou're on S King Street making the left turn onto Bethel, stay in your left lane after you make the turn & then it's a quick left into the Chinatown Gateway Plaza. It's right across the street from the old Walmart. There's no attendant on duty so you take a ticket and upon exiting, scan your ticket & pay by card. The parking is still cheap even with the recent price increase. I paid $4 for under 2 1/2 hrs. The parking spaces are tight. Some are reserved for the City & County and the majority seems to be marked for compact cars. I do not drive a big car & usually do not have an issue parking in compact spaces but these spaces are ridiculous. With a little maneuvering, you can get your parked whether you back in or pull in. The problem lies in once you're parked, opening your car door & squeezing your way out without try to touch the other car with your door. The parking lot is lit but not bright so there are a lot of dark corners. There are 2 elevators, one for residents & the other one goes upstairs to the street & shops. You'll see the verbiage on the wall next to it. This is also the same building where the satellite city hall downtown office is located. Overall, the parking stalls are tight with a dimly lit area but it is convenient parking to Chinatown, the Hawaii Theater, eateries, & parking is cheap.

The parking at Chinatown Gateway Plaza is decent, however the prices have gone up from other posts…read moreI've seen. Currently it is: (M-F) 6AM-5PM $1.05 per 1/2 hour for 1st two hours $2.10 per 1/2 hour thereafter (M-F) Enter After 5 PM - Exit before 12 AM $0.80 per hour $4.80 Maximum Saturday, Sunday, State Holidays 6AM - 12AM $0.80 per hour $4.80 Maximum The place is relatively clean, but I only went to the first floor. The walkway to the street was clean. The first floor is mostly compact parking, but I think there are bigger stalls on the lower levels. I would use this place again, especially when I go the Hawaii Theatre.

Just wanted to share my experience…read more 1. Call the local number ahead of time. The 1-800 number is a trap, you wait for over 1 hour on hold, and then they can't help you anyways. The local folks know exactly what can be done (their services have been scaled back because of budget cuts), and if you need an appointment or a walk in is okay. If an appointment, might be ~6 weeks out because of backlog, be prepared. 2. 4 separate people will ask you why you're visiting, be super clear in what you need + if you have an appointment or were told you didn't have to make one. 3. Listen carefully for the numbers being called. Their PA system is super mid, and depending on who is calling the number from what window, it might not be clear. Lol everyone in the waiting room banded together to try discern what's being said. "You got that ticket number?" "Think it was this, who caught the window number?" 4. The employees are short staffed, but very empathetic + helpful. You just have to work together with them, have your id + documents ready for when it's your turn and they ask for stuff. Thanks to the guy that helped me (think AF vet?), got what I needed to file taxes for my mom who recently passed.
