Super cute coffee shop that has consistently good coffee IF you like really sweet coffee. That's the only reason I gave them 4 stars, just personal preference but I also find myself here once a week. It's never burnt and always such a treat but not very strong if that's what you're into. They have the cutest seasonal menus and homemade syrups. They are so friendly and always give good recommendations and if they happen to be out of something they try to make it work with whatever they have left. There's also a Mexican food truck called Rosa's right next to it which is super convenient. read more

I love Southbound Coffee and especially their matcha! When I saw they had released their new summer menu, I was so excited to try the Golden Hour Matcha. Unfortunately, it ended up being a bit of a letdown. It tasted like watered down milky matcha barely any flavor at all. I couldn't really taste the matcha or the mango. That said, I know every barista makes drinks a little differently, so maybe the one I got just wasn't made right that day. This experience definitely won't stop me from coming back though their matcha horchata is delicious, dulce de nuez is one of my all-time favorites, and the trailer itself is super cute. Definitely recommend stopping by you won't be disappointed! I'll be back soon and hopefully giving the Golden Hour another shot. read more

This coffee truck is located next to my favorite taco truck so I usually get coffee from here on the occasions I am next to it. The coffee is fine. Nothing to write home about. Limited menu, but it is a very small food truck so perhaps they can't offer more. Service is pretty slow even for a basic iced coffee. I love supporting amazing women-owned businesses like Southbound Coffee! They are located in the Southtown area, inside the same lot as Rosas Kitchen. I was there to get some breakfast tacos from Rosas and decided to also explore this new business. They have a small but mighty menu with some of the classics, but since it was my first time I decided to ask the owner for recommendations. She suggested the Dirty Horchata Latte, which I added an extra shot of espresso for an extra kick of caffeine. The latte was absolutely delicious and not too sweet, which was exactly what I was looking for. Give this small business a chance next time you are in the Southtown area! read more

I tried the dirty Horchata latte, 20 oz ($6.77). I like the flavor! The barista said it was spiced with almond and cinnamon. They have no prices on their menus, which I think is very interesting. Nearly $7 for a drink (16 oz would have been around $6.20) is a little steep in my opinion. Maybe their other coffee choices are a more reasonable price. The service was fast on a Tuesday morning. It's right next to Rosa's kitchen, a food truck selling tacos. There is free 15 minute parking right next to the lot, which is really convenient. read more

Southbound coffee is located in Southtown in a flamboyant pink coffee trailer; adjacent to Dos Sirenos Brewing on E Cevallos street. Outside of this establishment there are a few tables and chairs for you to enjoy your beverage if you'd like. Every time I've been the ladies have been so sweet and personable. One of my go-to items when I stop by is a Mexican vanilla iced latte that I love! Throughout the year they bring out seasonal menus with unique flavors and those have been a hit with me. If you aren't in the mood for coffee they also offer hot tea, hot chocolate, matcha and chai. They also get pastries outsourced from cake thieves I believe and they have really good pastries, most, if not all are vegan options. I've seen them out in the community on first Friday operating from their Mobile Espresso Cart, which is cool. I can't wait to go back so I can try more of the seasonal drinks for February! This place is so cute! I will say the ambiance is Better than the coffee. I had the dirty horchata and it was good, a bit watered down or not too sure if the horchata is a powder mix vs homemade. The 2nd time I went I had the Noche buena and I did not like it at all... it was over powered by anise and I could not enjoy it.
