Went last night and was not disappointed! Ordered the three-piece tenders, fries, and a biscuit. The chicken is on-point seasoned and perfectly cooked. The fries were hot and crispy and that biscuit was excellent. My friend had the two-piece white, red beans, slaw, and banana pudding and everything was so, so good. I don't understand why this place didn't have a line out the door (cheaper than Cane's and the chicken parts are bigger!!) but it was Mardi Gras night and that could have been a factor. I came here one afternoon about thirty minutes before they were closing. There was no one else in the restaurant when I walked in and ordered. The ambiance was nice and quiet. There was only one guy behind the counter and he was nice. I got their fried chicken, tenders, and dirty rice with a biscuit and one of their daiquiris as well. The fired chicken was very crispy and spicy but was dry inside .It was seasoned very well. My biscuit, tenders, and rice was good. Big fan of Southern Chicks, we've had dinner there 3 times and each time we got excellent food and excellent service. Great experiences with both dine-in and call-ahead pickup. Their chicken is spicy y'all, and I hear a lot of complaints about this, so be forewarned that spicy is the only love language they serve on their bone-in and tender chicken pieces. Their chicken burger is nice, but it's just a few tenders out inside a bun - would rather see a full size chicken piece to pair with their excellent burger buns. But... after trying a few different menu items, I'm going to keep going back to getting a 3 piece, biscuit upgrade, witha side of red beans and rice - every time! They just do it right. I haven't had the guts to pair a meal with a daiquiri yet, but all of their desserts are fantastic and too hard to pass up! The ooey-gooey bars, banana pudding, and their giant chocolate chip cookie hit all the high points. I can't wait to try their chocolate pudding, it's next on my list. My only complaint is trying to get there before they close, 3pm on Sundays and 7:30pm early in the week. Thankfully they're open till 9pm Friday and Saturday! Just come hungry! read more

This place hasn't been open a month just yet and I've been a few times so I've been able to get a good experience before making this review. First, this place is much more than chicken. They have burgers, quesadillas, liver, and other items. I am confident you can find something you'd like. The inside is clean and they are keeping a steady flow of customers. Get the chicken with the jalapeño pepper and thank me later. The fish is ok but I do wish it had a little more seasoning. All the sides I've had were good as well. So many dessert options here too. My only comment is that they continue to watch service. I know staffing is hard these days and it showed on my last visit. Will it stop me from coming back? No. But bc they are so new I hope they don't miss out on new people trying this goodness. read more

This chicken was everything. Fresh hot and no feathers. Nice crispy and flavorful. The biscuit was hot and soft also. I went about 2:30pm. The staff was full and quick. The inside and lobby area was clean. All of the dessert looked fresh. The prices I think are reasonable. I went around 3pm on a Thursday and it was packed! I initially went through the drive thru but was unable to order a wrap. The drive thru menu is only for quick orders and not the entire menu. Inside was spacious and clean. There were only a few vacant tables. I ordered the fried chicken BLT wrap. It was $12 and did not include any side or drink. Service was fast and friendly. I only waited about 10 minutes. My wrap was hot and fresh. My only complaint is that it wasn't cut in half. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well. The bacon was crispy. First visit on their grand opening and very pleased. Very polite service, the dinning area was spotless . Togo order was prepared in a reasonable time and a special thank you for packing cold items in one bag and hot separate. Thanks to BR traffic took me twenty minutes getting home and the chicken and sides still warm. Fried chicken crispy, seasoned and the fried chicken livers were outstanding. Their red beans seasoned , tender with a little kick of heat also picked up chicken salad which will be my lunch next day . Drive thru had fast service, hot food, great spice, and the eat 'em up sauce is similar to canes sauce but more creamy. I've had the jumbo tenders, 3 piece dark chicken, red beans and rice, and creamed potatoes with gravy and it has all been delicious! Great place with great food! Tried this establishment for the first time on yesterday. The chicken was hot, fresh and delicious. The attitude of the guy at the window was terrible! He was dry, had an attitude, I asked him about a couple items on the menu and his response was I don't eat that and rolling his neck. This has never happened at the original location. My wife ordered the chicken tenders with mashed potatoes . The chicken was fried excellently and had great flavor and marinated in hot sauce. The red beans and rice were delicious but could've been hotter. The biscuits were great but some honey would've made them a 10/10! My wife could tell the mashed potatoes were from a box and were kind of dry. We ordered dessert to go we got the banana pudding and Mississippi mud which were DELICIOUS! Saw a tik tok video on this place so I wanted to try because fried chicken is Delicious and I want to support local businesses. I went through the drive thru and ordered a two piece dark, mashed potatoes and gravy and a jalapeño pepper. They said it would be a 12 minute wait for chicken and I was ok with that. It ended up being a 30-40 minute wait and there were other people upset in front of me who were waiting longer than that. The chicken was ok and seasoned decently. The mashed potatoes were good but the gravy was from a pack and not good. My jalapeño pepper was inedible and old it didn't taste like anything at all no spice, vinegar or anything. It. Seemed very unorganized and they weren't even busy. I won't be back it wasn't worth it. If they could get good staffing and figure it out it could be successful but it's Baton Rouge what do you expect. read more
