Before starting I do understand they just got a new owner so I totally get it takes time to adjust…read moreto a new business. I messaged them after seeing an email from the previous owner saying it's under new owners. Their Facebook was all I had since they have no site (you should get a site it would be way easier for us customers) and their Facebook said the season is open. I emailed and asked about 6 yards of soil/compost mix. I was quoted nearly $600. $40 for delivery (1.5 miles away very close) and the rest was just the dirt. To me that's insane. They did say once the season starts it would be cheaper( this was the end of March) . You should lead with that but I get it maybe they didn't think of it when I asked the first time. I assumed there is a small chance they could have assumed becuase I'm just some woman ordering dirt maybe they could charge me whatever and assumed I'd buy it since I didn't know what I'm doing? I do know what I'm doing lol So I waited till April and had my husband call so it's not a woman lol stupid I know. They gave my husband 8 cubic yards (2 more than I asked in my quote) delivered for $300. Crazy. Again he said the season wasn't started even though fb page said it was so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt even with all that. Total of 3 call convos over the course of a week, all three convos confirmed it was 8 yards delivering on a thurday. Thursday comes and they said in that morning phone call they would come at 4. Called at 3 to see when they were on the way and got a "straight to voicemail" and called all night kept getting the voicemail so we panicked thinking we got scammed. Called Friday morning they said "we have you down as today delivery and we'll be there at 1" what?! We talked about thurday multiple times and even ON THURSDAY ITSELF IN THE MORNING! When they delivered they were 2 yards short and instead of 50/50 compost and dirt it was 1/3 compost and 2/3 top soil. Had my husband call and let him know and they came SAME DAY to deliver the last 2 yards of compost. They charged us only half of what the last two yards cost since they only charged me for 6 yards (since we communicated 8 yrds multiple times and they understood that was their fault.) That's the story. So here's the pros and cons Cons; (get the bad out of the way first) 1) Went from $95/ yard to $45/ yard just from me emailing vs my husband calling. 2) The top soil is chunky hard clay soil with lots of rocks and plastic trash peices. Keep that in mind since lots of places call that filler dirt. Their top soil is filler dirt. 3) Didn't get the correct amount delivered the first time and didn't get the correct ratio the first time 4) Got ignored when they failed to deliver on the day they said they would. With all this said there are still positives! Pros; 1) the compost is FABULOUS! It looks so rich and dark and smells great! Absolutely amazing compost in my opinion. There are random bits of rubber and large sticks every once in a while but I still absolutely love it and am very happy with it. 2) The guy who delivered was very nice! And he dropped the dirt off and didn't need anything from me which is great! 3) they fixed their ratio mistake and amount mistake and delivered the correct amount the same day! (2 hours later honestly) 4) They only charged me half on the last two missing yards since they understood we did say 8 on all three phone calls so I greatly appreciate that. 5) the guy on the phone sometimes (he said he's a sub) was a little uneducated on the products and business but he did let us know he's not normally doing this and he apologized for not knowing things really. I appreciate the honesty a lot! 6) I'm sure once they get the feel for things this place will be great. I didn't get to know the other owners as this is my first year interacting with this business but I'm sure by next year you won't have to worry about any of the issues I did. So would I order from them again even with our problems? Yes! They did fix the mistake fast and came same day for us when we let them know. I'm sure they're busy for the garden season so I'm sure that was difficult to fit us in like that.

I have been taking my Mom to Miller's for years. We always start by checking out the furniture,…read morethen head to the bakery and end with the grocery store. They sell well crafted beautiful furniture! So many items such as kitchen tables, mirrors, clocks, bird feeders, rocking chairs and much more. The outdoor seats, tables and rockers are also nice! Some of my favorite bakery items include cream horns, cream filled donuts with chocolate icing, apple fritters and much more! They sell tons of donuts, cakes, pies and cookies. The grocery store sells the best homemade cheese balls. You can typically sample at least one. There's also, candy, spices and so much more. There is a deli and soft serve ice cream. On this trip, I ordered a ham sandwhich with spicy cheese, jalapeno mustard, lettuce, tomato, onions and homemade pickles on white bread. This sandwich was so big it was hard to even hold it lol. I ate half and took the rest home. We got lucky and found seating out front in the shade. There is nothing I don't love about Miller's! I highly suggest you check them out.

The service was friendly and professional. I'm glad they weren't cash only. The furniture building was magnificent and the prices were very reasonable. We were able to make it for a pretzel before they closed and it was so delicious. Light, fluffy and buttery. They were perfect. Overall, I definitely recommend taking a trip over if you're in Ohio.
