Brandie, Jeremy and the entire staff are amazing! Had four big pine trees that were desperately in need of being removed due to pine beetles. After having another tree company ghost us, Cory and his crew did an awesome job today removing the pines, several sweet gums that were near the house, and even got all the stumps grinned for us. This company was hired by our next door neighbors to remove trees and clear under brush. The company came onto our property in the process and bush hogged about 30 ft of 4-6ft tall area of green belt. A green belt in which we used for privacy. The property marker was visible and clearly crossed. Regardless, a tree cutting company should know better than to trespass and damage someone else's greenery without permission. The company was notified, and essentially told us to take it up with our neighbors. It's not my neighbors fault, it's Southern Scapes fault. They damaged our property and are liable to replace the years of greenery and growth in which they destroyed. They made an error that cannot be undone. Super frustrating and illegal. read more

Absolutely amazing service by Jeremy & his crew. I got 18-20 quotes to remove 10+ trees from our backyard & I found Jeremy best in terms of his professionalism and soft attitude. His quote covers minute detail & he takes time to explain each & everything about the process. His polite & pleasing appearance amazed us. Still I hired a different tree company who gave a cheap quote but I realized that was my worst decision. That company postpone their dates multiple times & disappeared after removing 2 trees & damaged my property & many items. After that I requested Jeremy to complete the remaining tree removal & they did a wonderful job. Jeremy and his crew were absolutely amazing. The equipment they brought was state of the art. Each worker was highly skilled, and as a team, they were really something to watch. There were 4 huge pine tree & 6/7 maple cluster they removed. It was a tricky job. Their tree removal process is amazing. Crane crew is expert to grab the tree when Chris was cutting the tree & move it to other side. Fantastic Bobcat guy was grabbing the tree & pushing it to shredder. Another cool guy was helping for cleaning & grinding the stump. Chris who was cutting the tree is a great foreman. The clean up after the work is excellent. All crew were very patient & not at all frustrated after long work in full sun (95+ degree F) & they take care of everything. Beyond the best experience I've had with any landscape companies in my 18 years at this address. These guys showed up with the owner and his wife. They made a plan with me to retain my yard's lawn and all while still doing the job of removing some impossibly tLl trees from my back yard. Very professional, had multiple tools and equipment choices to get job done right. Respectful of my neighbors' opinions. These folks know how to do their job and keep people happy. Our insurance company wanted several of our trees trimmed so the branches would not hang over the house. We also wanted several very large trees cut down that were close to the house. Jeremy and his wife looked at the trees we wanted cut down and we asked their advice on a few other issues. We received the estimate and an email to schedule the work. Great communication. The crew was on time and very professional. They quickly removed the trees, branches, and ground the stumps. They removed all of the branches, leaves, and debris while they worked. My neighbor wants to use them to cut down several of his trees. I was very impressed with Southern Scapes. read more

They did great work at a very reasonable price compared to 3 other quotes done. Had them take one tree out and clean up around a few others, did a great job and cleaned everything up so much that I can't even tell where they set up. My yard looks untouched, huge thanks to that. Our home was damaged in September from Hurricane Florence; Southern Scapes came to North Carolina from Georgia. They had a salesman come by our house while my husband was there. We were not able to live in our home because of the damage. My husband and neighbor removed the bulk of the trees from the roof so they could tarp it; all that was left was the trunk that had smashed our roof. My husband asked for a quote which he never received. We had already received 3 quotes $1,800, $2,500 and $5,000. Southern Scapes said they dealt directly with the insurance but we still wanted a quote; which we never received. About 2 weeks after the salesman visited we got a call that they were there to take the trees off the house; we arrived at our home and they were already in the process of removing the trees; we had never agreed to have them do the work. Again we asked for a price and received nothing. We also did not get an invoice; we only learned of what the charge was from our insurance company, they billed them directly but our insurance will not work directly with them. They have called my husband several times and again he asked for an invoice and did not receive one. After many request an invoice was finally sent. This company charged $18,895 to remove 2 tree trunks from our house and place at the end of our yard next to the street. The rest of the tree was removed by us and we were responsible for getting rid of all the debris. Shame on them for price gouging during a state of emergency and taking advantage of people who have already lost so much. :( read more

We used Southern Scapes this week to prune a large Oak Tree in the front of our house. They did a good job but I think they are over priced ($600 for pruning one tree) and would look for another company in the future. Their quote was partly based on the equipment they would be using which mentioned the use of some special turf friendly lift, but in the end it was a guy manually climbing the tree with a chain saw. I'm pretty confident you could get better pricing elsewhere. read more
