I requested an estimate for an alignment on Thursday and was told it was $99.95, that it was first come, first serve, and that they open at 7am. My husband went the next day, Friday, at 7 am. They were open, but he was told the technician that does the alignments wouldn't be there for an hour and a half. The technician showed up at almost 9 am. He did not perform the alignment on the rear, only the front, he lost a lugnut, he only hand-tightened all the other lugnuts on the front tires, and the vehicles still makes the same noise it was making prior to the alignment (but only when the road curves to the right). He told my husband that the tie rods were worn and would need to be replaced "soon," not immediately. Is that what is causing the noise??? It is unfortunate that my husband wasted so much time and we wasted the money on such horrible work (we even had to buy a new lugnut since the tech lost one). I definitely will not return and will not recommend them to anyone. Had my husband not rotated the tires the very next day, this could have ended up with very serious repercussions due to shotty work that was performed on our vehicle. read more

Yikes. I saw the bad reviews when I was searching for a nearby tire place, but I was on a long road trip and trying to save time, so I hoped for the best. Where to start? Okay, not a mask IN SIGHT in the place. No hand sanitizer either, and it reeked of cigarette smoke. Handwritten signs threatening employees and customers alike were plastered on the windows. Really unprofessional. Employees were smoking outside where customers could not avoid the fumes. To be fair, they did get me back on the road pretty quickly, but I had a second blowout not long after (though far enough away not to try to go back). I suspect they didn't balance the tires correctly, because my car started shaking at high speed. Not recommended. read more

My truck needed a tire and I found Billy's on google. They were very friendly however upon completing my tire work, we were presented with the bill which threw me for a loop. They charged me for everything. I asked them to check the tire pressure on my truck and when I reviewed my bill and they charged us EVERYTHING. They even charged to check the tire pressure. I would have appreciated them informing me BEFORE they checked the tire pressure that there would be a charge. They even took the liberty of checking the tire pressure on my trailer and charged me for that as well. My personal opinion is that these guys are rip-offs and one should be very guarded before doing business with them. read more

Called ahead was told they would take a company credit card over the phone... Drove 20 miles on a flat tire to get to their establishment.. arrived was told they would not take the credit card... What great friendly and professional service. We were traveling from South Florida to Northern Virginia when nine hours into the drive our car started shaking. We quickly decided it was not an engine issue but most likely a tire problem. We saw a roadside sign on I-95 just in time to pull off at the exit for Billy's Tires and Roadside service. How lucky we were. Roger greeted us with "How can I help you"? He immediately saw the problem, a tire with a "knot" in it. Fortunately a correct sized tire was in stock and the ready to blowout tire was quickly replaced. We were on our way within about a half hour. A smooth ride once again. Wonderful experience. We even enjoyed our short visit inside the office reading the posted signs from management to it's employees. Humorous and to the point. Great service. Fair prices. I didn't need tires but I sure needed gas. I called Billy's as I was stuck on I95 in South Carolina and it was getting dark. The service operator took my information and told me my charge upfront. They dispatched a driver with a truck named Kyle and we were happy to see him. Nothing worse that being stuck on the side of a dark interstate. This place is terrible, so I ended up getting a flat on my trailer a couple miles from the place. I called them to see if they had a spare and rim in the size I needed. They told me they did, they then asked me how I would be paying I said with a CC I have on me. They sent a tire tech out to my location, the tire wasn't on a rim. The tech with my help installed the tire on the rim on the side of a major highway, very dangerous practice. After that he asked how I was going to pay, I told him with a CC as I told the lady who picked up the phone from Billy Tires. He said they didn't give me the CC machine, that I would have to follow him back to the shop. Well that was 7 miles in the wrong direction of the road trip I was on. Tire and service was a rip off, 148.00 for a 14 inch tire that I could buy on amazon for 21 bucks. Do they offer a military discount or discount for inconvenience as I had to drive 14 miles out of my way....no. I gave them a call asking for a used tire due their convience of being off the I95 an I blew a tire out just needed a cheap fix to get home. Billy said I have plenty after a long hold. When I arrive 5 minutes after they have no idea who I am an what I'm looking for. They then made me purchase a new tire that retails for $40 for $91. They gave me the run around an then when I went to pay before I authorized the purchase they said it would be $10 extra to throw away my old tire an we already agreed upon a total price out the door of $91. Our tire popped on the highway so we put the spare on (with compressor assistance from a very helpful State Trooper) and then looked on Yelp for nearby tire places. We called Billy's first and a lovely woman answered the phone and reassuringly said they could help us out. Once we got there, the gentleman fixed it promptly and sent us on our way.
