Clean camp sites, friendly and helpful staff. I read a review that it was noisy from trains but I think only one train and it wasn't loud. There is a lovely stream running through the campground and birds and deer come to visit. It is walking distance to a cute brewery, too. The winter cost for our site was only $40! I got there late around 8 PM. The lady was so nice and friendly and professional. Found me a dry spot next to the restroom/showers. S She gave me very good information about where to go and some brochures with maps and great referrals. Very fast and efficient too. Everything was clean and easy to find. We have stayed here twice now. It is a great, clean, and friendly park to stay at if you are passing through Dillon, Montana. This is a lovely quiet park; helpful staff, good wi-fi, and absolutely spotless bathrooms.

What a wonderful rv park. The bathrooms are spotless and it looks like the laundry room has been updated. I did laundry today and the washer and dryer did a great job. $3 per load Check-in was easy. The owner is so friendly and gave us lots of information just in case we wanted to get out and about. They take you to your spot which is nice. The spot was level and it was quiet. The RV park is well maintained, very clean and the stream that runs through the park is loved by the ducks. Every time I walked over the bridge, I had to stop and enjoy the moving water. I highly recommend stopping here. We love supporting local businesses. read more

Super easy and friendly check in -- called ahead and they said they'd wait for us to arrive before closing the office -- and then they drove us to our site since it was so dark. There was a herd of deer on the other side of the fence when we pulled into our spot and one that got separated pranced right in front of our truck when we parked. The park looks beautiful and I'd love to come back in the summer. We visited late March just passing through, arrived late and hurried out in the morning because of a snow storm. Seemed pretty peaceful and was surprisingly quiet though. read more

Fantastic RV park near downtown Dillon in a beautiful setting. A little creek runs through the park - I understand that you can catch trout in it if you don't feel like heading over to the Beaverhead or Big Hole or maybe just a nice place to sit and relax. Okay the park is really well maintained, a river runs through it. The sites are level with full hook ups. Lots of shade trees. The laundry room is clean as are machines,restrooms are clean. The park has a few long-term but they are really clean. Now when I called for reservations quite a few months ago, I informed the reservations person I would be bringing my two dogs and was happily informed the park loved dogs and had a area for dogs. Once here the grassy areas that are great for doggies have signs reading No Dogs past this point. There is No dog park, no dog run area and when I asked I was told the dog run hadn't been made as yet,asking if my dogs can run on the grassy areas , I was told no because previously people didn't pick up their dogs poop. Well here for two more days will take long walks! read more

This is our 3rd time staying here at Southside RV. Janet and her husband work very hard at keeping this campground spotless. We love crossing the bridge to our little spot. The laundry room is convenient/clean and prices are reasonable. Southside is so convenient and easy to get to from I-15 (exit162). We will be back. read more

This is our second time staying here. The first time was two years ago and nothing has changed from this being a first class RV park. Babbling brook, great pull-through 50 amp sites and cheerful management (Janet) doing everything to make our stay wonderful again. Restaurant suggestions, what to see in the area. List was a last minute stop. Staff was great. Spaces nice. Creek was fun to play in a bit before dinner. You could tell they loved their park and took great care of it. Found it real easy using an RVing App. Wish we would have had more time to stop and explore the town. read more

This little gem is the cleanest, best kept rv park I have ever stayed in. The sites were immaculate with nice little lawns between all sites. The gravel roads and pads were perfectly kept up. We did laundry in a nice clean little facility. The showers were tiny but plenty of hot water and clean. Very nice and helpful staff ready to help with anything. Unfortunately the bathrooms were closed but that's to be expected with covid and the super cold weather. Perfect little spot to stay and such a great Mountain View! Best campground in Southwest Montana! We stayed in the Cozy Cabin which was steps away from the beautiful Blacktail Creek, which we could admire from the comfy chairs on the cabin's porch. It was everything you would want from a Montana camping experience. The park's bathrooms and laundry rooms are the cleanest I have ever seen. Nothing was out of place, and the park owners keep them maintained daily. The laundry room is ultra modern and you can access wifi while you do a load! The park is conveniently located two blocks from a restaurant and convenient store, and a quick drive to Dairy Queen or the local brand new IGA store. The downtown is a short drive where you can grab a craft beer at the new Beaverhead Brewing Company (try the Pioneer Porter!) or enjoy the cute little shops and antique stores downtown. Everyone is super friendly at Southside, and they make sure that everyone feels welcome and right at home. Make sure to stop at their military museum, they have a great collection of WWII artifacts. read more

Just stayed at Southside again... and I'm really glad we did. Janet & Tim are really great. They keep the park so nice and clean. It's great to see people who care about what they do and who go out of their way to make their park guests comfortable. So many places (RV parks in particular) seem to be feeling the pinch these days and are cutting back on upkeep/maintenance. Not Southside. The place is spotless. There was new fencing around the park. The laundry room had recently been redone with fresh paint, new tile floor and brand new machines. And they've added a WWII military vehicle and memorabilia museum onsite that just has to be seen. Loads of cool military stuff... a really unusual and interesting addition to the park. Glad we stayed here again. We love this place! read more

What do you get when an obviously OCD person runs an RV Park? Maybe the most flawless RV park you'll ever stay in. We pulled up, walked to the office, and much to my amusement, the Manager/Owner, Janet, opened the sliding window to what is essentially a tiny slot, through which your business is done. She slid me out a card, and a pen, and told me "keep the pen, I don't want it back". She then took my Credit card, with a tissue that had been doused in something. 30 minutes later I saw her talking within inches of the face of another guest at the park, without any type of face covering, so .... Maybe I didn't look very hygienic? However, the RV park is beautiful, with wide spacious spots. Her attention to detail shows in the perfectly maintained areas, laundry rooms, bridge that runs over a little river that runs through the park, and even the RV spots themselves. Literally the nicest RV park I've ever stayed at. Plus Janet was actually a very sweet and helpful person. read more

In the past we have stayed in each of the other two RV CG in Dillon and this is by far the nicest. We will definitely continue making reservations at Southside. Management is excellent. Campground is spotless and manager is awesome!! She gave a recommendation on a restaurant 2 blocks away and food was yummy ((Sparky's Garage). I just wish ALL campgrounds took such pride in their establishment. read more

Great RV park! The owner, Janet, bent over backward, and spent her time and energy, to get us into her park when it was full! Janet does what ever it takes to make visitors enjoy their experience and we certainly did! Nice sized spaces, most with shade, site 5 has a gazebo over the picnic table and a creek that runs through the park that has fish! My husband was happy. The park is conveniently located by the hwy, but does not have hwy noise, and a grocery store right down the street. So much to see in Dillon. Would recommend making this your Basecamp. read more

March 15, 2022. We have spent a wonderful winter here working for an engineering company. We have enjoyed Dillon so much we brought our daughter-in-law and 7 year old grandson to visit during spring break. They were so impressed! I am watching as the owners prepare the park for the summer. So many tiny details but they are doing them to perfection. The grounds are being manicured, the roads detailed, painting completed perfectly. These people do not just slap on another layer of paint they totally sand off the old paint and paint a brand new layer. Many Sam's Club approved parks these days are run down and you never see maintenance completed. Here it is safe and perfect in every way. The community has most services you would ever want from an excellent modern trauma center hospital to fantastic vet services from vets who really care, 2 grocery stores, a big Murdochs, and a good lumber yard. The most deficient area would be no decent restaurants. Make your reservations early as they often fill up. This is a place you won't want to leave. Update on internet. It is fixed and never freezes, load quickly and is alway available. read more

Drove in to view this as a potential landing spot. Our vehicles are new and high quality. RV park is OK. Were scolded by the attendant.. Tells us there were 4 signs indicating we should have stopped at the office (not quite 4, just saying). BTW you will have significant train noise at this location. Alternative.... Not fancy but quieter at the Beaverhead River campground RV park (formally KOA). Right down on the river too.... read more

Very, very clean Rv Park! The bathrooms and laundry room are spotless. The owner, Janice, works hard to keep this park pristine. There is beautiful creek that flows through the center of the park which has trout and an assortment of birds. Its with in walking distance of Old Town Dillon which has a brewery, restaurants, shops etc. I highly recommend the park! read more
