I recommend coming to this school if you want to become a barber, I have heard and seen all the bad reviews but it is everyone's opinion to post down what they want, as I am writing mine. The staff is great very nice people when I tried trasfering over Jay gave me the best price possible due to the hours I had left to transfer over but my old school did not drop me so it was hard to try and get me in but in the process Jay really tried helping out. The best part in this institute is that they have my old teacher Mz Roww she will give it all she has to teach you what you need to be a barber as she teaches you she is also learning more and the best part is that she will teach you her new learnings. Even though she is not with my teacher anymore I can still call her and she will still show me and give me tips on everything she can I LOVE YOU Mz Row and I know you are gonna have more barbers out their becoming great people in this industry. read more

I needed an emergency haircut and for the price of a $10 dollar fade, I couldn't say no. Thankfully walk ins are available and I was attended as soon as I walked in. I saw the other customers and was surprised how nice their haircuts were turning out. I asked for a mid skin fade and it turned out great. The instructor was very clear and descriptive on adjustments he would give to the student barbers. He made sure I would leave satisfied with my haircut. This is a great School. Affordable and reasonable haircuts for military or anyone. The students there are very professional and courteous. We really enjoy going to the school and taking our children there as it seems that no matter who cuts their hair, we always get the same great result. I'd like to point out that one of our children is wheelchair bound not only was the instructor, but THE BARBER courteous enough to remove the chair and actually cut our sons hair in his chair so that he was more comfortable. Loved my entire experience when I attended SWBI! I started pre COVID and the way we stayed on pace through the pandemic was orchestrated to perfection. It was a tough time to get through. Glad I made the decision to choose this barber school. Im a barber in El Paso and i don't work on Dyer. When I was attending school I gained a client that has autism and still have until this day. The way I was taught to have patience and cater to each, and every clients in school has carried on into my barbering career. I highly recommend taking a tour and checking them out. The barbers are hilarious, the cuts are always fresh. I have the MOST sensitive skin and they have not irritated me yet. Never even had dandruff after and I also have a sensitive scalp. They are the only barber shop I will be going to as long as I'm alive. So rare to find a barber shop in El Paso where all people are welcome. The Barbers are also humble and fun to talk to and I'm not even a people person like that. It's nice to be treated well. I'd give this place 10/10 stars if I could. read more

I stopped by the barber-school today for the first time and I was welcomed by students eager to cut my hair, the student named "AB" took really good care of me! The instructor kept a close eye to make sure he detailed my haircut well, I'll be back again! I loved this place quite honestly I don't know what this guys problem is and there is nothing wrong with cutting hair on Dyer but by the looks of it he is just a bitter individual who probably doesn't have any values or morals - I guess momma raised a fool.
