Small acts of care and communication can make a significant difference in a patient's experience, especially when they are in pain. Because of this follow-up and willingness to help, I have updated my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. ------------------------------------------------- At 9:17 AM on 6/10/2026, I received a follow-up call from Amber regarding my appointment. During our conversation, I shared the same concerns I had previously expressed--that I had not yet experienced any relief from the gel that was placed in my ear canal during my visit. Amber was professional and explained that relief may take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. My review is intended to be honest, transparent, and reflective of my real-life experience.I have only been back in Dallas for three weeks and am still getting established with healthcare providers in the area. Like any patient, I came seeking help, relief, and guidance. My sincere hope is to be happy, healed, and thriving, and I look forward to feeling better soon. ----------------------------------------------- I want to start by saying that Amber was very professional and helpful. She worked with me to get an appointment scheduled for the very next day, which I truly appreciated. The medical assistant who checked me in was also kind, professional, and even offered me Tylenol because she could see that I was in pain. Unfortunately, my experience after seeing the doctor left me feeling disappointed. I came in with a swollen ear canal and severe throbbing pain. The doctor asked a few questions, applied some gel in my ear, and the visit felt very quick. I left feeling much the same as I did when I arrived, with little understanding of the treatment plan and no immediate relief from my symptoms. My appointment was at 1:15 PM, and as I write this at 5:26 PM, I am still experiencing significant pain. My blood pressure was elevated during the visit, which is unusual for me, but I believe it was due to the level of discomfort I was experiencing. I chose this provider because of the excellent reviews, so I was hopeful that I would receive more relief and guidance. At this point, I feel discouraged and uncertain about whether I should return for my follow-up appointment or seek care from another provider. I also feel that the $84 visit did not provide the value or relief I was expecting. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff, but I hope future patients with acute pain receive a more thorough evaluation, clearer communication, and a treatment plan that helps address their symptoms more effectively. One additional consideration for patients is that there is no courtesy parking available in parking lot 3.

I was in so much pain from impacted wax and accidentally yelled the f word at one point during the procedure. AMBER the front desk lady, came in the room immediately out of nowhere, held my hand and was extremely reassuring. I squeezed the heck out of her hand and she was a rock for me, truly above and beyond bedside manner. Everyone was sweet and understanding towards me also, ZERO judgment just acceptance, patience, and understanding. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Well, he recommended tubes for my six month old, and the whole process went smoothly and painlessly; I probably freaked out about it more than my little guy did. We recently went back because my son got an ear infection after battling a rough cold for a couple of weeks, and we were able to get in to see Dr. Bates the day I called so he could clean out my son's ears and prescribe some ear drops. Everything has since cleared right up. Other reviews have mentioned rude staff, but I have never experienced any of the staff members to be rude. This is a healthcare facility; their time is precious because they want to help all of their patients, I'm sure, and see that everyone's needs are met. There is not a lot of idle small talk, which I appreciate. I never felt like they didn't have time for me and all of my questions were answered to my satisfaction. I highly recommend this office, especially if you are looking for a doctor to evaluate your child for placement of tubes.

The only problem I see is the walk into and out of the building is not patient - disabled friendly due to the front of the BofA building is closed off since the bank shut down. The parking lot has lots of speed humps, bumps and inclines. Not to mention when getting deliveries the big trucks park right outside where you're walking up to the building giving off fumes and heat.

The lady at the front desk was very nice. The lady who walked me to Radiology was so kind and made conversation knowing I was nervous. I've never had a spinal tap so I was worried. The assistant who took me back to the room was so kind and made me feel comfortable explaining everything. The PA, I think his name was Daniel, was amazing. He walked me through everything step by step and made great conversation knowing this was my first time. It's always so great to feel comfortable and taken care of in scary/new situations. They made me feel at ease and they explained the process every step of the way. I was made to feel very comfortable during what could easily be anticipated as a high-stress procedure. The waiting lobby is comfortably furnished and they have complimentary bottles of water. On each day and at halfway through my appointments, I was sent out to eat a fatty meal which helps the chemicals show up during the scanning procedure. You'll find Whataburger, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Taco Cabana, and other restaurants within about a half mile, so you'll have plenty of choices and plenty of time to eat and return. Although not an expert, I can say I am a well seasoned (well stitched and bone callused) customer. This location is the best I've used. Easy to get appointments, lots of parking, and easy to maneuver if limping, on crutches or being wheeled in. The decor is really nice and helps relax you. Obviously, you don't go here feeling wonderful and soothing decor does make a difference! The outer waiting area is nice and the inner one is quite nice as well as it is close to the changing room and the temporary lockers. My last 2 visits required a lot more work as I really botched up my hip finishing a 5K and then a half marathon when I should have been on a couch healing. The headphones with great tunes really help while you are strapped in for 20 minutes. The tunes were from the 70's and my mind was off wandering down Memory Lane rather than the whirring, clicking, chirping and beeps of the MRI. They work well with the insurance companies. TOA (Texas Orthopaedic Associates) is an outstanding group to help put your bits back together when you try to break them all off.

Averaging at 5 text messages and 3 to 4 emails a day till my appointment. Can I tell how annoying that is. Apparently when I showed up for my appointment and told them they just needed to merge my file, really. Also when I tried calling them the person who answered was laughing and really wasn't listening to me. She said come in 15 minutes early to complete your paperwork. You know it would have been nice if this person cared enough to look at my information and notice the problem and corrected it. Now once I got in the check in was smooth and easy. Facility was great and clean. The two ladies that did my scan were great.
