I go in and I don't see the Passports for Books and Brews, one of the librarians actually had to go get it for me, I also asked kindly for stamp and received one. It accidentally bleed through (the stamp) she was kind enough to offer another one but, I told her it was ok no need. I do like this library but, I may go here just because it's close to work.

While a gorgeous building, I can't properly rate it as I haven't used the library as a patron -- I haven't borrowed a book or spent time in there studying, so I don't really know how good a library it is. But as a tourist passing by, it was a good place to stop in for a look at the architecture and to use their washroom and fill up our water bottles, which was very much needed on such a hot day. Stone steps lead up to the main entrance; there is one around the back as well with a wheelchair ramp. Book drops in the back and front- if you enter through the back, you get to see what events are going on in the various libraries (and grab a copy of the LEO and Audience, if you're into it) while the front treats you to the books of the month as well as what the Crescent Hill Book Club is reading. The librarians are very nice and quite helpful- they are always willing to take the time to explain how to properly use the copier and print things out, as well as hand over whatever knowledge is available about google, gmail, and various word processing programs. There is a reading room on the main floor in the periodicals section. Sometimes the odd person thinks it's OK to take a phone call in there, but it isn't. You get the stink-eye, you get spoken to, and you get unpopular, fast. It's also tempting to photograph articles in the current magazines for later reading/use. The librarians don't mind actually- but they do want you to read what you take. There is also a reading room downstairs amidst books on tape/CD, but they are quick to recommend Libby. The library seems to have a great collection of cookbooks, decent adult fiction selection, skimpy poetry, good history section. The children's area looks fun- there is a castle and a children's librarian that sits in there. One note- for a Louisville library, the horses/horse care area is a bit lacking.

The library offers a variety of books. The selection here is quite large . It has various features for the youth who the area too. If you need access to a computer or printing facilities they offer you access. In fact you get to print for free up to a dollar a week. They have an online library and you can reserve the books and other resources for you and pick it up. In fact you can have curb side pick up at the library. If you need a nice quiet spot for work they have special rooms for your needs. As humans we need free air to breathe, in the lobby the plant area offers fresh clean oxygen for the humans to take in. The staff here is excellent! Do you need books to read and take home they have a great selection. A few times a month they have a book sale. Come and spend time together with your inner self and get lost for a few hours.

The exterior is futuristic, definitely not giving the vibes of a stuffy library. And the kids space really impressed me. The shelves are shorter, easier for little hands to grab books and there are all sorts of kid-size reading nooks to climb into. That is one thing that really stood out -- smaller spaces carved into the large indoor area of this library. Even with a horde of children running around, I saw several adults able to find spots to quietly enjoy a book. Parking may be a bit of a challenge for big events; we had to park across the street at the Target. But on normal days I bet the lot is easy to access. What a jewel of a space!

There is a book drop inside of the mall and one outside on the Bardstown Road side. Truthfully I usually order my books through the library's website and pick up when ready, but the few times I've browsed in this branch, there's still a decent selection of books. There are computers and printers for use and games and movies for borrowing as well. The library staff are really friendly and helpful when I come in!

I'm sure there are a few places to plug in but I didn't find an obvious one near the chairs. The library has one side for younger visitors and readers, along with a small play area. The other side offers a teen area with comfy chairs and several computers. My teen games there periodically with friends after school. In between is a small selection of library books, both fiction and non, plus movie rentals. Workers sit at a couple of desks and I watched them help several visitors and callers. Bulletin boards share flyers for upcoming events. Great for work or reading; however, it's a smaller space so understand you're going to hear kids, conversations and more. But, I love it! It has plenty to offer. True, there are no aisles and aisles of children's books so you can browse through them and pick what you like. Sure, it don't boast of huge play/activity areas but they have a cute little nook with the cutest ladder that the littles love to climb. They have book sales pretty regularly. The checkout is easy. There are computers you can use. I believe it has a meeting room too. The biggest advantage of this library is its location. When they closed it for around a year, the nearest library to the east end was the new Northeast. That's a good half hour drive from where we live. She showed me the DVDs that were recently returned but not quite put back and, sure enough, it was there. She also recommended a few other DVDs in a similar genre as the DVD i was checking out. I also picked up a couple of free paper books for kids that this library had available- my nieces loved them!

She actually volunteered there in middle school when she needed service hours and stayed on as a volunteer long after she had her required hours. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Since covid they have been so accommodating by bringing books to your car (that I order on line, they call to say they are available and pick up time scheduled). There are multiple programs available at the library, book clubs, kids programming, computer programming, etc). This is a great resources for our community. Love the summer reading program for children. Street parking.

My 3rd born daughter was attending her first dance class across the road when we decided to explore the area. This freshly updated and nice library was open to 8pm so it made a perfect spot to to waste some time and have a bit of educational fun for me, my wife and other 3 daughters. Very spacious and well organized library. You walk In to a large area with computers and seating and the rest of the sections are around that area and clearly marked and separated making it easy to find your area. We had our younger ones with us so we found the adorably decorated young children's section in the very back corner and let the youngest play and look at books while we relaxed on the chairs. Overall nice library that offers everything from books, computer access, musical cd, dvd, blue rays and more. Very sleek and spacious and updated place. My daughter appeared to enjoy dance so this may become our hang out spot on days she has her practices.

It is of the newer model it moved from one part of Fairdale to another part more in the central part of town. It offers a wide variety of books movies cassettes and just an opportunity to go read and learn in private. I have taken my daughters here many times to play in to check out different books throughout the years. I stop by here yesterday and they have added Even more meat little things to see I highly recommend
