I have filed so many complaints today, figured I would go here too. Invested w John Fisher over…read moresix years ago. I retired from JHH after 41 years. I handed over my 401K to him only to lose $102,000. Initially he stated I had done my due diligence in saving and I would not have to take risks in the stock market. That is exactly what I wanted. But the past year both my husband and I have repeatedly told him we want out of stock market. We even came in person to tell him. But he stated economy was robust, consumer spending high, low unemployment, NO chance of a recession. He said we should WAIT (again) until we recouped some of our money and then we could scale back. Thinking he knew more than us since he was a financial advisor we relented AGAIN. Over the past year I have watched going from 50 to 70 to 90 to $102,000 loss. Finally, I called the 1-800 # to sell my stocks myself and they came back on the phone w John Fisher. Any other time I would have to make an appointment to speak to him. I stated I did not want to speak to him since he never did anything I asked him to do and if he had I would have not lost all this money. On top of that we found out his charge of 2% commission fees were higher than what Edward Jones charges 1-1.5%. He stated he was worth even more. Just trying to help others not make the same mistake.
