The Spa facilities are located on the grounds of the huge La Quinta Hotel property. As day spa visitors, I would drive to the rear of the hotel and find parking closer to the spa. Else you would get lost in the maze of the property. The spa facilities itself was amazing. The locker room has closed door changing rooms, a steam room, and jacuzzi pool outside. I had the body scrub treatment which was amazing. I was in the vishy shower room for over 60 minutes where I lay in a warm waterbed mat and scrubbed and showered. I would totally have this treatment again. I felt so clean and soft afterwards. The only thing I would do next time is to spend more time at the Spa and enjoy the quiet time and space of this beautiful place. read more

Another highlight was the adjustable massage bed that went from flat to zero gravity when it was time to flip to my back. This took my experience to the next level since my sinuses typically get blocked while laying on my stomach. I had one of the best massages of my life with Katrina. I went in with a lot of pain and imbalance in my back & she helped sort me out. I am still feeling better over a week later. I did one of the body renewal services and it was absolutely worth the value. I specifically had Damariz as my spa specialist and she was wonderful. She told me she has been with the spa for a very long time and her attention to detail and manner shows she's a spa veteran. For the renewal service itself, it was definitely a new experience that I enjoyed. The steam after the exfoliation makes you melt into the warm water bed while receiving a head massage. You then get sprayed down by the Vichy showers, which was needed to wash away the remaining scrub. Lastly, the lotion application was like having a mini massage. For the pricing, it really needs an update. I will say the pedicure was below average- the technician didn't file or trim down my nails or my mom's. These pedicures were extremely overpriced for that poor service. Don't bother with a pedicure at this spa. She didn't even massage the feet, and you would get that at your basic nail salon. We also had full body massages, but my only complaint there is that they are never long enough, so they were good. The desert backdrop was beautiful and so is the La Quinta setting. read more

Booking an online appointment was easy. A salon service (haircut) does not include access to the spa, which was slightly misleading on the website because the salon services were under the spa menu. Because of this, I booked a ritual bath just to have access to the spa area. The ritual bath was lovely, although, there were no Mountain Views as claimed on the website. They could improve on the view, rather than staring at a wall and the sky. A nice bubble bath, bath bomb, chocolates and water, listening to the water fountain from the garden area. My haircut was great! And I am very happy with how my hair turned out, because I didn't not give much direction. This is a great spot if you are staying at the resort, but there are other luxurious spas nearby to consider. read more

Horrible experience - when I checked in, they led me to the locker room and didn't even show me around. I couldn't find it they had a steam room or anything, so I just sat outside in the courtyard for 40 minutes. 5 minutes before my massage, they called out my name - to my excitement I got up and they led me to the FRONT DESK while I was in my robe. They let me know that they didn't have a technician for me and had called me in the morning to let me know. I did not receive a call from them, and I know they had the right number down because I got texts that my massage was booked. They let me know they could either do a stretching at the same time or a facial for 1.5 hours later. I opted for the facial, which was fine, but had to continue to wait in my role in the courtyard with nothing to do. While vacationing in Greater Palm Springs, California. I must preface this review with we were the only two clients in the nail service and hair area of the Spa. It was basically a giant private treatment room! With relaxing music, soothing massage chairs, and a lovely scented breeze blowing in through the open windows. The most serene pedicure and manicure ever! Booked the nail promo, citrus infusion spa manicure and pedicure for 105 minutes for my mother and myself. Both technicians were highly skilled and friendly. I confidently recommend Kai B. And my mother gives Isis L. her recommendation. Also a shout-out to Michele in the spa store for her knowledge and helpfulness. And Dee Dee for the spa facilities tour as it was our first visit. Do not waste your money here! My husband and I went for a couples massage, and I received the worst massage I have ever had. The masseuse just lightly and frantically rubbed the top of my skin the entire time, never contacting muscles. Oddly, everything about the massage felt frantic. The masseuse would quickly rip the sheet out from under my leg, arm, etc., quickly rip my leg, arm, etc. out from under the sheet. About 10 minutes after I turned over to face up, she literally slapped a cold washcloth over my face to cover my eyes. It would be difficult for me to believe she has received any formal training in massage therapy. Honestly, it took a lot for me not to laugh at how bad it was. The facilities are also terrible for a luxury resort. The woman who escorted me to the women's locker area told me how to use the locker code and immediately left. She did not show me around, tell me what facilities were available, or anything else. Likely because there were no staff in the locker area, another patron took multiple calls on speaker phone in the middle of the changing area. I went to shower after my massage. The showers smelled extremely musty, and during my shower, I realized that there were dozens of gnats all over the walls of the shower stall. Normally, spa showers smell nice, or at the very least, like cleaning products. Not the case here at all. I reached out to the general La Quinta resort email address to directly share my concerns (rather than post a public review) the day after the massage. They did not acknowledge my email, but the following day, I received a seemingly automated email from the Spa La Quinta email address saying "we hope your expectations were met or exceeded." I shared my previous email with the Spa La Quinta Director, Christina Cabrera. It's now been over a week, and I never received an acknowledgment. So, here I am, sharing my experience in hopes that no one else books an appointment here. This is the worst spa I've been to and it's also one of the worst massages that I've ever had. First off, walking in is like a tiny maze where all the staff cut you off. I immediately new that it wasn't going to be what I wanted it to be. My husband said when he was escorted to his locker, the person was chewing gum and didn't show him around the maze. This place is extremely outdated and my massage room had windows, so it was bright even with the curtain. . To the massage part: Our couples massage was immediately hit off with a $50/ each question of CBD oil being added. We approved, so our masseuses then disappeared for 6 minutes to get it while on our time. My masseuse didn't put any effort into rubbing me down for 80 minutes. At times, my masseuse was too comfortable, sitting with half her body on my massage table with me!? This happened within the first 10 minutes. She mindlessly moved her fingers around my body except for the head, neck, and shoulders- the most important places. The particular way she was fixing my sheet that covered me, was exactly how a maid tugs and pulls sheets to make them flat with no wrinkles during house keeping. During my massage I was wondering if she even had a license to massage and I was convinced that she was a maid. My husband also said his massage was pointless and there was no effort or feeling put into it. Moral of the story here is this place is extremely outdated and has weird vibes. The staff I walked by (which was about 11, WOW!) they do not have a relaxing or spa demeanor. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Worst massage I've ever had. read more

All hype with no actual consideration to guest relaxation or care.  I booked an 80-minute massage and half way through an employee knocked on the door and came in the room! It was alarming and quite jarring ... the opposite of the relaxing experience I was hoping for. And would expect for a $300 massage. I asked the massage therapist and she said 'oh, it happens.' I would think they would have a system to let employees know the rooms are occupied. Just a warning for anyone getting a treatment here in the future. I did tell the front desk as I was checking out and they told me to fill out a comment card. Huh? That's your definition of customer service? A little off putting and not the level of care I would expect for an establishment that boasts an "unparalleled experience of peace and comfort." My wife and I scheduled two 80 minute massages. Here's a summary: THE GOOD: - Beautiful outdoor courtyard with a peaceful waterfall that's also a plunge pool and fireplace - Men's locker room has a steam room and shower amenities like hairspray, shave gear, deodorant, etc. - Luckily the front desk allows you to adjust the prepopulated 22% gratuity based on your level of service THE BAD: - Upon arrival I was escorted to men's side and was told first that no male was available to show me anything on the men's room - Luckily a male attendant appeared and said he'll show me to the locker room but in reality he walked me to the locker and showed me how to open and close it. No tour or explanation of what was available or where to go. - The steam room has no switch you wait until it turns on and it took several minutes - Gary was my massage therapist. He greeted me warmly and showed me the courtyard - He spent 3 minutes trying to upsell me add ons to my $260 massage. I politely declined and then he continued to talk and said "I have to say all of this" which was kind of a joke because I told him no add ons please. - I told him my shoulders, lower back and legs were the focus areas for him to work. Yet he began w my feet and spent 20 minutes out of 80 massaging my feet. Then he went on to work other areas which was average at best and frantic at times. My lower back and legs barely got attention and then he switched back to my feet again for the last 15 minutes. - This is classic lazy therapy. For $260 80 minute massage I don't think anyone wants 30+ minutes to be low effort foot massage. Very disappointed and feel totally ripped off as I can get a one hour foot massage for $30 at home. - During my massage Gary spent ten minutes telling me how guests "don't let go" during their massages and "stay clinched" so he couldn't work them properly. I understand he wanted to help but this was such a negative energy during my spa day it drove me crazy listening to it over and over throughout the massage. He needs to keep it to himself and read the room when clients are trying to relax - The facility has no sauna or hot tub so after your massage you basically sit in the courtyard for a few minutes and then done I have been to luxury spas all over the world and at some of the best hotels on earth. Unfortunately this isn't one of them. Amateur staff, underwhelming amenities, lazy and unprofessional therapist, and basically a total waste of more than $600 for two massages. My husband booked our couples 80 min massage and additional foot treatment for my birthday. We are avid spa goers as we are both competitive athletes and need massages to do what we do. The front reception and greeting was so below average and not welcoming at all!! The spa is dated which would be fine if it was cleaned better and had better lighting, hot showers and more personal touches . However I did have the MOST INCREDIBLE experience because I had Beatriz as my therapist!!! She is unlike any massage therapist I've ever had!!! She could tell I had serous tension in my shoulders and my hip flexor was locked! Her body work with massage and pressure points on me released so much!!! You can tell she really cares about what she does!! It was so amazing that I booked her again the very next day for my husband to try her and for me to get in one more session before headed home!! She is remarkable and truly very talented! Quite honestly, I'm surprised some famous athlete or celebrity hasn't snatched her up because shes that good! know I would in a heart beat if I could!! I'm coming back now before every competition and will do the 2 hour drive to Palm Springs just to have her work on us!! 5 STARS TO BEATRIZ and 3 to the facility. I was lucky to meet Bill Jackson. I don't know how he figured out my preference: Relaxation, meditation, and preferably no one around. He asked me to come back Wednesday, and he arranged for an 80-minute massage with Claudia, who delivered an excellent quality massage. It is such a wonderful place that I spent the whole day, ordered lunch and napped. I listened to my audiobook and enjoyed every moment. It was 108 F, but I didn't feel it with the shade, the mist, the bougainvillea, lemon trees close to the jacuzzi, and a fountain. I've been to many SPAs, including Scandinavian SPAs and SPAs t the various Fairmont hotels. But this is a unique experience; the architecture, the service and the setting at the bottom of the mountains are outstanding! The place is clean and the service personnel are friendly. I just had the express pedicure so I didn't get to see the inside of the spa. The salon area was nice. I just have one comment which is neither positive or negative - I asked for a second coat of top nail polish and she said "no". That surprised me. For a $40 express pedicure - no massage, no callous filing - a second coat doesn't really cost that much. In SF, second coat is basic, you don't need to ask for it. read more
