This is a local theatre that oputs on a superb range of plays throughout the year. It is a…read morerelatively new building and as such the auditorium is very well staggered so that nobodys view is ever obscured, however short they may be. It also gives a very open view of the stage area. The rest of the establishment is well maintained and there is a nice tea and coffee area which also provides light meals. Upstairs is a bar area and you can order drinks for collection during the intervakl as well as socialising at either end of the performance. Parking is situated in a paying carpark underneath the theatre iteself. The absolute high point in the theatres calendar is the Christmas Rock and Roll pantomime. It is truly exceptional every year and appeals to ages 4 to 104.

Although some performers are not to everyone's taste, the hall itself is well-equipped with padded seat and reasonable acoustics. The atmosphere is dragged down by the fact that the hall is attached to the town's only leisure centre badminton courts painted on the floor are one feature caused by this. Staff are usually quite helpful and parking is ample, although you now have to pay to park. In all, a reasonable venue three stars.

There are only one screen that is more a stage with a white back drop but it does feel authentic and the seats and sound are to an expectable level. However when first walking in there is a slight smell of feet but you soon get use to it and see it as an authentic quirk. All in all the people are friendly and the location are ideal especially in summer. Be aware there are parking charges and it can not be claimed back like some other cinema complexes.
