I had to get my nails done in Mexico. I mean why not? This spa is located across the street from…read moremy hotel and I was due for a manicure anyways. I wanted to experience it in Mexico at least! The staff was very welcoming and one person at least spoke some English. It's expensive though compared to my usual salon. It total to $620 which is equivalent to about $44 USD for gel manicure and regular spa pedicure. My, they definitely treat you well and focused on you with out rushing. My cuticles looked so nice and they time they spent on it shows they really cared. The woman doing my hand cut one of my fingers though why doing the cuticle. She didn't apologize but she was extra careful around the area. The woman doing my feet spent a while massaging and even scrubbed my feet a lot longer than what I expected. I don't have callous but it was nice to get a good scrub! Overall, the color came out great and the whole experience was relaxing for me. Which was very nice considering my whole day I was on my feet! 2 weeks later, my nails still look pretty decent.

After signing the registry and letting them know how much pressure you'd like during your experience, the staff guides you into the changing rooms. We booked a couple's 90-minute massage in the same room. The massage didn't quite live up to expectations; I'm fluent in several languages, including Spanish, and during the massage, I repeatedly asked for specific pressure. Unfortunately, my requests were often ignored, to the point that I had to ask the staff to cease. It then became awkward. Time ran out. Afterwards, we decided to head out to the hot tub, but the staff wasn't very welcoming. I expected a higher level of service. Both of us left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. There's definitely room for the staff's attitude and overall quality to improve. I mentioned this on my way out. I would like to go back and see how it improves.
