Miraval is definitely now one of my 'Happy Places'. Upon check-in the staff took care of everything, we were greeted, bags taken away to our room and our car taken away by the valet. The staff were all smiles. Dee Dee checked us in and offered us tour of the property with Steve since it was our first visit here. She also walked us over to the cafe to grab a smoothie to enjoy while on our tour. Steve picked us up, and showed us the whole property while explaining where everything was and small details about the property such as the MULTIPLE pools! We did several classes with lots of variation from Meditation to Vison Boards + health and wellness classes. We really enjoyed spending time with all of their experts learning things from them to improve our daily lives. All of them answered every question without hesitation. A true all-star line up I must say! Let's talk about the FOOD! Every meal/snack we ate here was VERY tasty! Our bodies felt amazing after just one or two meals. Mostly everything they serve is locally sourced and organic. We looked forward to finding out the Chef's special with every meal we sat down to. Diana and Alice were amazing to us, providing us such great service at every meal. We did the "Just cook for me" dinner session with two other couples. My favorite thing about the property is that the pools are 24/7 - We laid on our backs in the saltwater pool at midnight, just looking up at the stars in the Arizona night sky. I didn't have a care in world, just living in the moment. We felt so disconnected here from the outside world (in a good way), and that was something I will always remember and enjoy. Nobody had their phones out (Our stayed in our room the whole time!) and as someone who has to be connected 24/7 usually, this was VERY refreshing. I took all of these photos with my sunglasses. My partner and I had no problem striking up conversations about everything we were experiencing and how we could apply it to our everyday lives. Fluffy robes, slippers, a relaxing private waiting area as well as an outdoor seating area with a hot tub for spa clients. The women's locker room has a dry sauna and a steam room. Lockers, showers, a full array of complimentary products to make one beautiful and clean again after any treatment. Chelsea offers five different types of massage: swedish, lymphatic, deep-tissue, neuromuscular and aromatherapy (Aromatherapy is $10 extra). I received a deep tissue/swedish massage and can honestly say it was one of the best massages I've ever received. You know it's a great massage when you drift into that state of semi-consciousness somewhere around the 30 minute mark. Customer service was top notch and I will most definitely be back to visit again. Overall, not only was this a great massage experience, but I love to support new small businesses. It is obvious that Chelsea is passionate about her little spa and her profession as a massage therapist. *Note: due to the popularity of this Groupon deal, Chelsea is booking into late March now.
