Yes, it is more expensive than the other stores but the goods you get are much higher quality. The selection is enormous and the atmosphere is really inviting to shop. They have two small racks of British and American goods as well, like you can get vanilla or cherry flavored cokes if you are really into that kind of stuff. They carry turkeys (from France) the day before thanksgiving. My favorite part is their charcuterie section. So many different delicacies and all of them are super good. The olive bar is excellent and very reasonably priced. And if you could not find the cheese you are looking for on their racks, the head of the cheese department will so kindly order it for you, they will call you the next day when it arrives and here you got it, top service! We had a small Tête de Moine drama recently, which was beautifully solved by the head of the cheese department :) Well, I love stopping at this Super Best and you can be sure to find there what you need.

Though not the lowest, prices can be relatively reasonable if you look for what is on sale. As the father of two ever-hungry boys living in an expensive city, I'm naturally interested in stretching my Kroner as far as I can. B. This location is much bigger than most of the other grocery stores I've been in. The larger size translates to wider aisles and more selection. I recognize more brands plus I don't feel like I'm blocking other shoppers as I try to look up the Danish word for nutmeg. C. The hours are convenient and include being open most of the day on Sundays.

The meat and dairy selections are big as are the cheese section. And beer, wine, pasta, crackers, veggies...ok it's a well stocked store! There is probably a better one, but in Osterbro; it's a good one. I can eat nearby before or after. It's a nice walk from the apartment without being TOO far. It's an inviting little plaza. All within 100 ft is sushi, bagels, a sit down restaurant with a small salad bar and good looking burgers, and an Italian place and a brunch place. Outdoor seating everywhere. You can grab household items at Jysk. And if Meny doesn't have everything there is another grocery (I think it's a Kiwi). Shoppers beware however, this one closes earlier than most-like 7 (19:00) weekends and 8 (20:00) weekdays! I feel comfortable there. Like I can really browse and shop like I do at home. Staring at the aisles wondering, "what do I feel like having?" Not all of them are like that. Most have felt like a convenience store. This one feels like you can talk to each other and not feel out of place. Even waiting in line at the Checkout!

You are dreaming of owning one of those old fashioned vases that used to adorn your grandmother's living room? You'd probably find it here. Also looking for Christmas album CD anno 1995 featuring WHAM and the likes? You'd also probably find it here. The big hit for me is on the second floor. Up the stairs and to the left they have very comfy designed library-lookalike with rows and rows books for sale with price tags showing fractions of what the original prices were. Books sold here are extremely in good condition, unlike in several "Antikvariet" I have been to, but there are obviously newer books too. To put it shortly, if you're about to give someone a book as a present from here, they wouldn't know if it's second hand and it's good for the whole saving environment stuff isn't it? Less trees to fell for your books. Next to the book room, there's the children articles occupying the space. Clothing, toys, you name it. On the right side of the upper room there is the second hand clothing area. They all look in very good condition, I guess The Red Cross is very good at vetting these clothing. I did a browse to see if there's anything I like. Alas, I'm quite picky when it comes to clothing. But hey, it's worth checking out, and when you need to give (Christmas) presents, this place is maybe worth to look at.
