My husband and I initially planned to clean our new home ourselves, but after we realized how filthy our kitchen and four bathrooms were, we knew we needed some help. We called a few places that we found on Yelp at the last minute, and Spar-klean got back to us quickly. Doug came out to assess the amount of cleaning that needed to happen and gave us a price. We were fine with the cost, especially because we knew how filthy the house was. Doug and his awesome wife arrived at 9am and cleaned the entire day. They came back the following day to finish up the job. We have a large home so it took them a bit, but I cannot tell you how thoroughly our home was cleaned. Grease, mildew, years of soap scum on shower glass, and more. They cleaned all cabinets and appliances as well. I wish we had more before and after pics to show! I recently moved out of my apartment and I needed to have it professionally cleaned for the next tenant (or risk a sizable reduction in my security deposit). I contacted Doug at Spar-Klean for assistance and I'm very happy with that decision. Doug came out on the exact day I needed him to and did a magnificent job with cleaning the entire unit. I actually booked Spar-Klean after seeing the reviews on Yelp and was shocked at the quality. I have a regular housekeeper that is amazing, but I wanted a company to do a deep clean after our renters moved out and our new renters moved in. Booking was easy enough, but the quality of the service was terrible.That usual "ahhh" feeling that I get when walking into a freshly cleaned house was missing and it looked rather similar than before. My husband and I actually spent another half day completing the job (see the photos included in the review). There was nothing "deep clean" about the job they did. I actually spoke with the service after and they seemed to think they did a solid job. I cannot find enough words of praise for this company. They did a deep clean of my house the day after we closed. The kitchen had never been cleaned, the cabinets stuck together, the windows all had a film on them, (I could keep going). They spent 8+ hours scrubbing my house back to life. They scoured the fridge, the oven, the sink was GLEAMING. All of my floors were shining, and the windows brought in so much light after they had finished. They dusted, wiped and cleaned all of the fans, the floor boards, the molding. Not one corner went untouched. They took such thought and care as if it were their own house. Doug and his crew were fantastic! We hired them for a post-construction cleaning job. He called to confirm and they showed up when they said they would. I even changed the original date and he was very flexible. We walked through the house, going over everything. This listened to all of my worries and made sure it was done right. They were there all day. Nice people and very thorough. I overheard Doug talking with his folks about the best way to clean my stove and cabinets. He cares about how it is done. Nice to see! The only feedback I have is that they needed to use my vacuum. It was no problem but it might be good to ask the homeowner if they have one. I didn't used to own one (as we usually have hard wood floors only) so it's possible to get somewhere and not have one to use. Luckily we did because they needed it for all the construction dust! Moved in to an apartment whose kitchen was covered in grease. The prior tenants had cooked with a wok for two years without cleaning. Couldn't even open a cuppard, the grease was so tacky. Spar-Klean is a husband/wife team (Douglas and Venaria Bowman) that came over promptly and saved the day. They really know their cleaning agents and put a lot of care into their work. Also, they were totally cool about me leaving for dinner and coming back to the apartment to pay them later. So pleasant, prompt and careful.
