After mooching round, and having no luck, I approached Keith, who was stacking shelves. he couldn't have been more helpful, he checked on his little "computer" . He found them on there, but apparently there weren't any in store, he checked a number of flavours, but to no avail, it then came up "No Location" which Keith explained they may be a new product that just hasn't arrived at Tesco yet,. Although I was unable to purchase my "Perkier Bars" I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Keith, he is a credit to your store, and shows what customer service is all about.

I don't agree that the prices are steep - they're slightly more expensive than a supermarket, but very reasonable given that you then don't have to go out of your way for stuff. Thanks to technology you can order anything you desire from their website, and thank God some Thai folks decided to bring a bit of their culture and food to Prenton of all places. If you have a Thai friend it might help to take them along with you as a tour guide. I did and it was fantastic!!! I will admit though I was a passenger, the Thai friend being the primary shopper, buying ingredients for the delicious meal she cooked later int eh evening. I even showed them pictures of it but no they prefer for you to return it at your own expense and then supposedly they will refund me. I cannot trust them after this kind of service. This store does have a wide range of products that other stores do not, I had tried many local stores to look for a game, which I was in a rush for, for a birthday and couldn't wait till Monday and was left in this rush after a damaged Tesco Direct order - the woman was absent from the counter and they was no bell and no one could radio through, it is good this stall is at the front of the store unlike Middleton, where it is at the back but still waiting 20 minutes for someone to serve me when I was front of the queue and they was other staff (they were not authorized to go on this till) : They should at least of been able to get a member of staff on the till or radio through. I didn't really look around the store but it is a very big store and is located just before Manchester Fort in a small retail park what has a Grainger Games and a Costa Coffee. This particular Tesco was actually the subject of Peter Kay's Car Share, a BBC programme where his character "worked" here and drove around the Manchester / Cheetham Hill area. This is probably one of the better Manchester stores of Tesco to go to as it does have a very big range with it being one of the biggest stores in the area, alongside Oldham Huddersfield Road and does deserve the "Superstore" title due to its size, unlike nearby Rochdale, due to my extremely long waits at the Tesco Direct desk and no one being able to assist me, or even radio through, I feel 3 stars is fair but I will be coming back very soon to do a shop and then do a new , more detailed review on their stock of items, especially gluten free.

There have been 4/5 staff members in wandering the shop with no masks on or if they wear them they deliberately wear them under their chins. Appalling disgrace and lack of care for their customers.

This Tesco was built on the old 'Quarry Bank School' site in the late 1980's, if my memory is…read moreright. It started off being open 6 days a week - then added the Sunday. It is now a 24 hour store. In the Summer of 2008 it extended onto the University playing fields, with many protests from local people. It offers a Clothing Department, Garage, Tesco Direct, Pharmacy and an instore bakery. There are also lots of toys on offer. The car park is huge and there are plenty of Car Parking facilities for disabled people.
