had an appointment at 12:30 to clean 4 area rugs. The showed up at 12:08. i couldnt let them in as I had home buyers looking at the house that they new had to be out before 12:30. Sparkle said the wouldnt wait although they were 20 minutes early and just left. I wouldnt normally complain about someone being early but the 12:30 appt was scheduled purposefully at that time. will NEVER call them again read more

I dropped my 5x7 rug and a runner 3x7 off. when I picked them up they still were heavily soiled so I rented a rug cleaner and the first time I emptied the reservoir the water was BLACK! It took me two cleanings to get the rugs smelling like they were finally cleaned with detergen! Don't leave your rugs with Sparkle! read more

Based on recommendations from local people we had Sparkle come and clean our area rugs and 4 chairs. I assume this must not be the same Sparkle as people are happy with. The chairs still had stains on it and my husband showed Brian before he left. Said they would not come out. My husband took Resolve carpet cleaner and a sponge and got all of the stains out when they left. They never touched the sides of the chairs as they were not even wet. They ran over the center of the rugs, did not move any furniture even the chairs sitting on the edge of the rug. I can't see any difference in the rugs at all. We called the owner and she said someone would call us back. They did not so the next day we called again and told her we were unhappy and had expected someone to call us. A few minutes later, Brian called, was extremely rude and confrontational, and said "If you are not happy I will tear up the check-have a nice day". And hung up on us. I really do not like putting business down as I too was a business owner, but this is such a rip off that I hope no one else wasted their time and money. And I certainly do not like being treated so rudely. Unfortunatly, this morning I looked on YELp and in some posts that you have to dig to find, has very similar stories. read more

I had Sparkle Carpet Cleaning out this past January to clean the carpet in my Marco Island home. I had a few days available to work with before my return North. When the owner, Brian, answered he told me that he was able to send someone right out. Within the hour a very polite and courteous young man was busy at work, after checking with me about areas of concern. This was not a large area, what is called two rooms. The worker moved two recliners and a sofa out of the way, along with two small tables. He asked about moving the second sofa but I declined because it was a sleeper. As he was cleaning his way to the front door, a couple of small entry rugs also got a quick cleaning. I have had Stanley Steamer out many times over the years and there is always a reason for extra charges. Two years ago the service tech sold me a 400.00 program that allowed me as many cleanings as needed, at any of my six homes for one calendar year. Imagine my surprise when I was told by Stanley Steamer that I had been taken by the crew on Marco Island. That's another story... This is a local Marco business owned by Mike. I spoke to Mike to make an appointment and he sent Brian the next day!! Brian was pleasant, on time and efficient. The two rugs look great. Only regret, should have had him clean upstairs as well for relatively small added fee, but he needed to get to another job. Pricing is better if they have more carpet to clean.Will know better next time. read more

We've used Sparkle to clean the carpets and upholstery at our house and rental property for years now. We had used Stanley steamer and another local company for a few years but grew frustrated with the pricing but more importantly the quality of the work. Sparkle is everything you'd want in a local business, you speak to the owner directly. Brian does great work, is friendly as can be, my son looks forward to talking basketball him and Brian's generous with his time. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I used this company to clean my carpet in my vacation rental. I have always used Stanley Steamer in NY but wanted to give a local company a chance for business, big mistake. The guy was 45 minutes late, at least he did call to let me know he would be late. He did not move any furniture even the the couch, love seat and dresser were on sliders that I could easily move (female 5'2''). He had already backed up his equipment when he told me he was done (Stanley always ask you to inspect their work before they pack up) and refused to do these areas after I moved the furniture so he could clean the missed spaces. The owner called me later to discuss he cleaning. He hung up on me twice during the conversation and then called me back. I don't think he liked me comparing their lack of service to Stanley Streamer. He also told me that if they had to move the furniture it would have cost me twice the amount (again SS always moves the furniture). He never offered to lower the bill due to poor service but when my husband called to complain the next day he offered not to charge us. Obviously he does not like dealing with women, who by the way are their main customer. read more
