They were eager to drive over to pick up the 50% deposit. When the start date came they showed up…read morelate in the day and were there for a few hours. It was this way throughout the process a few hours here and there, then not here for a day or two or three. We wondered if they were "fitting us in" around more important jobs, but decided as long as the job got done, we wouldn't challenge the process. The last day we saw him, he worked a long day and had just a few things to return to finish the following week, but it's now been 4 months. There are some bowing issues with the composite material on the deck, a trim piece never attached, improperly cut fittings. The biggest issues was the totally UNFINISHED attachment of the flashing where the roof to the pergola cover met the house. Each time I've contacted the owner he states he will be over in the next day or so, but 8 promises later we are going to have no choice but to hire it done by someone else. DO NOT PAY IN FULL if you use this contractor until things are 110%. I'm very disappointed!!

I reached out and gathered estimates from more than 15 places in the area. Every other contractor didn't seem to grasp the complexities of the work I was trying to get quoted, but I could tell James completely understood and listened to me. His price was also very fair. He made the whole process straightforward. When a couple unexpected problems came up, he explained the situation to me and provided me with fair options. I am extremely happy with the level of quality and craftsmanship that Morpho Carpentry provided. I will absolutely work with James for my future home projects.
