The office staff's communication, scheduling and follow up is on point. All of the technicians that have come out and done work - unit maintenance, roof vent installation, and most recently unit replacement have all been top notch - letting me shoulder surf, ask questions, and learn a bit each time. All others wanted to set up appointments on Monday, which I can't do with my newborn and 3 children. We are so pleased! We called when they opened at 7am and the repairs were complete by 11:30am. Thankfully this was not a major repair but I know it would have been taken care of it was. The total price was super affordable and that was an even bigger relief than what was wrong. They came out the same day I called on a Sunday and Javier diagnosed the problem correctly and came back the next day with the part (fan blower motor) and it's been about a month and it's still working great! The only problem I had was that the labor cost seemed high and I wasn't told the total amount before the repair was made but it seems like all A/C, plumbing, electrical etc, repairs have incredibly high labor costs. I somewhat understand that since maybe they have to make a phone call to see if the parts are in and then they have to pick up the parts and drive to the location of the repair so that takes time. It was $95 to come out to diagnose the problem on the weekend, $450 for the 1hour of labor plus $800 for the parts. I will call them again for service but this time I'll make sure to ask how much before the repair is made. read more

This company is great. My AC stopped cooling recently, I could still feel cool air coming out of the vents throughout my home, but it wasn't cooling. I looked around for a repair service, as I just recently moved into the area. It happened to be a Sunday, and Spears was open! Yay! Moises came out and quickly diagnosed the issue as my capacitor. He explained everything to me and all the steps he was taking and why he was taking them. He had the issue diagnosed & capacitor replaced within 30 minutes. It was June 30th, around 6pm when I noticed the House was a few degrees warmer that it normally should be. Gave it an hour to cool, went back and looked again and it was a few degrees warmer. Panic set in...it's Saturday night...no way this is getting fixed before Monday. Found Spears on Yelp and called. Arrived in a little over an hour. Took him a few minutes to diagnose the issue, switched out the Capisitor, and that was it. Cool air started blowing almost right away and within 90 min it was back to just the right temperature. It's with a heavy heart that I'm adding this. On a Thursday I hired Spears to do a maintenance check on my AC. I said let me know when you can come, thinking he was coming the same day. Well after he didn't say anything about coming that day I just waited. The next day he sends me a text saying he will come in the afternoon and text me an hour before he comes. I said "OK" Well guess what? He never came and never sent me a text saying he couldn't make it. He was never like this. But to me it's disrespectful to not show or even send a text or phone call telling me he's not coming. So sadly I will no longer use him. really confused i called and asked how much for a seasonal system service. lady said 50$. ok so what all do they do and she said check your system. i asked so what else do they do for 50. she said. nothing just check the system. i asked do they add freon if it is low. she said no. just check the system. so just so you know. i am not paying 50 when everyone does free estimates. other place check the duct work and fix kinks and tops off. freon for their fee. i am not paying 50 just for someone coming to my house and not do anything. they have good reviews. and maybe a good service company but who pays 50 for doing nothing. but a estimate of what i need. in response to your comment. why does it say on your web site free estimates. and yes call around others do more for the annual fee. so you for 50 you give what. an estimate. my problem is charging 50 and doing nothing but estimates. read more

I had this company's out on February 11th because house wast heating,The technician that came out told me it was my filters even though there was cold air coming out of my vents. So I changed them and of course he charged me a service fee no problem. Less then 20 days later following our next cold spell same problem heater wasn't keeping up with the cold air. Called them again, said same problem told me that they would have to charge me service fee for the exact same problem. I have no problem paying a service fee one time. But when your technician didn't evaluate the problem properly the first time, you charge again. Too many heating and air conditioning companies around league City that will stand by there evaluation and not try to keep charging service fees. I would NOT recommend this company. read more

We just recently had our entire A/C system replaced - two furnaces, two outdoor units, duct work, the whole nine yards. Moses came out with his crew on a Friday around 9am. They were able to replace everything in the same day with the exception of the pads for the outdoor units. They came back the next day and took the time to show me what all had been done, how to adjust air flow for each duct pipe and some added tidbits I didn't know, but glad I know now. Here's the real scoop: if you're tired of getting the runaround, crazy-high quotes, folks that aren't punctual, etc., these people will set you straight. Detailed, thorough, and easy going. Sunday afternoon in August is probably the worst time to lose your AC. I called a few places and left voicemails. One place said they could get to me on Tuesday. But Spears answered my text within 10 minutes saying they could be there in 30-60 minutes. I cracked a beer to drink while I waited but only got to take a sip, because he rolled up to my house in another 5 minutes. After hours call on a Friday night. We were installing a Nest thermostat and kept getting an error. Nest tech support told us it was an HVAC issue. Checked out yelp and gave these guys a call. 1) they answered the phone at 9:15 at night. 2) they gave an estimate over the phone so we had an idea up front what it would cost 3) kept us updated by text on eta status as the technician was at another job and would come to our home after that Chris got there and was extremely polite and friendly even though he pretty much had been in hot attics all day. He explained everything he was doing and found a serious issue that the builder had neglected! Very, very happy with these guys. Sadly, it's hard to find customer service like this. Picked this provider after my usual A/C service company was overbooked on the July 4th weekend based on the few but excellent reviews. Needed an emergency visit after finding my outside A/C unit was not starting. Called Spears, he called right back and over the phone agreed it was probably the startup capacitor - the fact that he was thinking "repair call" and not "sales opportunity" had me knowing I picked well from the start. He had to troubleshoot the unit not getting power - and it turned out to be a power relay with a insect that had gotten fried - so literally a bug in the system! $70 for the visit was well worth it - and his phone was ringing so he was on to the next call. While I have no issues with my "normal" company, I feel like Mr. Spears is a good choice for a A/C service. Many thanks to him for the great work! read more

Had problems with my heater and Nest thermostat again. The first time I had another company come out and they said that the heater tripped a breaker and just needed to be reset. If it happened again just reset the breakers. Well, a few weeks later my hater and Nest are acting up again. Called and explained the situation and had someone come within the hour. Diagnosed the problem as a bad breaker fuse. Luckily he had one in his van and swapped them out. Def. recommend Spears. I called up Spears A/C and Heating after coming home to a warmer than normal home one evening. I expected a service call the following day but Steve said he'd send a technician right over. 15 minutes later, someone was at our front door. After checking our system, the serviceman said he had to go back to the office to get the necessary equipment for the job. 30 minutes passed and it was Mr Spears himself who came to finish the job. He determined the problem was much more extensive (coil replacement) than he originally anticipated and would have to check on getting a replacement part the following day. Worried about have my 2 children try to sleep in the stifling heat, Steve said he would add freon to our system so we could have some relief. Before leaving, he said he was going to check to see if our coil would still be covered under the manufacturer warranty. Who does that!?!? Needless to say, I was amazed. Fast forward to today, coil replaced, cool home, satisfied customer. The business practices of this company are second to none. We have found an honest company here! Spears was a referral from my sister in Pearland, and I am so grateful for the referral. After using 3 AC companies to diagnose and fix my ac leak and problem...I never got the issue resolved. I had people charging my to check and refill Freon, but no resolution. One call to Spears and the next day I had an answer and price, very reasonable if I may add, to replace the part that was leaking. We own a few rental properties (commercial and residential) and I wouldn't call anyone other than these guys to work on the units anymore. Great attitude and work ethic. Honest and affordable.
